  I spent an hour trying to get my Windows 7 computer to share my music with my XBox 360. I have two machines on my network, one connected by Ethernet to the router and the other connected by WiFi. I tried everything I could find online to get the WiFi connected machine appears in the "Music Player" on my XBox system - follow all sharing, make sure that my router has UPnP, restarted a bouquet of services, etc..
  Nothing! During this time, my machine connected to Ethernet was watching me in the face. He has appeared on the XBox without problem. I started to compare the settings on both machines and found no difference.
  Then I remembered, boredom, I had setting up WiFi sync for Windows Phone my wife. In fact, it was this session of troubleshooting that lead me to put this machine on the WiFi in the first place! Seems to set up WiFi sync, Windows Phone and the target of the machine must be, not only connected to the same network (obviously), but for some reason any the $ @$ crazy, both connected by WiFi. I just connected this computer by WiFi - not happy, a faster speed with my wired connection - and immediately fixed the problem itself.
  Then, remembering that, I moved my XBox WiFi network and - presto - my second machine appears without a problem.
  My question is... WTF! ???
  This is ridiculous - this is the same network! Why things must be connected using the same protocol?

• I can't get two cards USB worked at the same time

  I use Labivew 8.6 to program an application using NI UBB-9211 and USB-6211 connection to two USB ports on my PC in order to measure the temperature and pressure (voltage) at the same time. Also, I need to generate two AOs of USB-6211 to drive my engines. I tested two cards, they are OK.   It seems that you should be able to do what you are trying to accomplish. Can you post some information about the error you receive? You use the lower level Assistant DAQ or DAQmx screws in your application? You can post a screenshot of your code where it is merged together and easier troubleshooting. You use any trigger of your application? We have examples in the example Finder (help > find examples) under Hardware Input and Output > DAQmx. These examples are a good place to start to build your application. If you already have the code work for each instrument and you have problems combining them, it might be easier to work with where you are at as opposed to leaving it everywhere.

  I saw that it was possible to use the parallel port for e/s digital single and I was hoping that the serial port can be configured the same. It seems all VI VISA only to use the serial port to receive ASCII characters at a given flow rate, but is it possible to simply query the status of the line series at my own speed to see if it is high or low, kind of like a single pin DAQ?

  It seems that it would be possible until the serial data are read and controlled by labview, not Windows. Let me know if you have ideas of how to approach this problem, or any comment as to why it is not possible.

The range of acceptable signals is important enough. Anything between + 3 and -3 is an unknown state. Your other signals is + / 3 to 15 volts. What type of signals do you really want to capture?

  A bit of a surprise here, even after reading all the posts on the infamous error of-50103.

  I'm debugging a data acquisition task, in LabWindows/CVI, for a PC with an E-series PCI card (PCI - 6032E, I think). There are two analog channels: one is a photoelectric sensor ("receiver") that is read in bursts, the other ('power') is an electricity meter that is read from time to time. I've set up two tasks, Max with the corresponding calendar and the trigger settings; Load them into my program using DAQmxLoadTask() and others, and we're off. Where I encountered problems, that's when I need to restart the task of 'Receiver' and re - allocate buffer according to certain parameters of execution. When I do that, the call to DAQmxStartTask() fails.

  If, as I understand it, the problem is that you cannot have two tasks simultaneously running on the same tray, so why don't I get the error-50103 when I first start both tasks?

  The basic sequence looks like this:

  The program successfully call StartDAQ twice at the beginning and starts each two tasks without error. I only get the - 50103 to the DAQmxStartTask () call the second time, I call StartDAQ() for the receiver, after the judgment task, reallocation of the buffers and reloading of the task (which happens without error). Any help much appreciated.

  I am faced with a really simple but delicate scenario. My ISP gives me IP addresses public 2, both in the same network. They also gave me the default gateway which is of course in the same network too.

  I need two fully operational ip addresses, but I realized that I can't have two interfaces (routed interfaces) in the same network segment. I have just a single router (Cisco 2911). A friend told me that I might be able to set this up using VRF, but as far as I have read, there is no way to use VRF to achieve this.

  Is it possible to use two (or more) ip addresses to redirect traffic to the same default gateway in the same router?

  Hi Miguel,.

  If you want just your 2911 have set up two public IP addresses, you can set one of them as secondary IP address. Suppose that 192.0.2.1/29 is your default gateway, and 192.0.2.2/29 and 192.0.2.3/29 are your IP addresses. So to have both configured, you'd:

  interface Gigabit0/0/0 ip address 192.0.2.2 255.255.255.248 ip address 192.0.2.3 255.255.255.248 secondary
