Can I put Intel Core i5-3550 in dc7800 which already has Intel Core 2 Duo E7500

I want to upgrade my computer, change your power supply, cpu and graphics card.

I have windows 7 ultiamte, 4 GB of ram, and I think the name of the motherboard is '0AACh '.

Can you give a list of the CPU I can put in this motherboard and a list of motherboards that I can put in my dc7800.

No. A Intel Core i5-3550 won't work in your desktop dc7800 PC motherboard. A series of i5 Intel CPU is a much more recent and most different plug type and the generation that those who work

all processors in the following image will work in your desktop PC motherboard.

Here is a link to the specs and options for your desktop PC.

Best regards

    Hello

No it s not from the platform you have was not intended for a dual core processor. And even if the motherboard would be able to do it, then you won´t tools (especially as software sweet little tool to write the CPU microcode) to adapt to the CPU for your system.

  • A6400.gr: Can my handle old Icehouse a new processor like the core 2 duo E7500?

Can my handle old Icehouse a new processor like the core 2 duo E7500? Cuz im going to buy a used one on Ebay and it didn't have a cooler! The core 2 duo has more Tcase allowed time up to 74 ° C to 73 ° C to my current pentium dual core E2160 and both have the same TDP of 65 w. do you think I should change the radiator?

    Hello @Mario28,

I read your post about how you are curious about a heatsink and fan for a new CPU update on your computer, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

Because both processors are so close in the temperature and the heat output, the heatsink even you were using previously should still actually cool the new processor, so it is mounted correctly.

    I hope this helps!

  • Can I switch to Core 2 Duo e8400?

I have a XPS 410 (Dimension 9200).  I installed Windows 10 and updated the graphics card.  I upgraded the processor Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.13 GHz) for Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.67 GHz), but I'm afraid that Windows 10 and the new graphics card have mostly annihilated it.  Can I make the E6700 for Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.0 GHz)?  I've read places that say you can and I've read places that you say can't, but I need a straight answer.

Unfortunately no, the maximum Core 2 Duo for the Dim 9200/XPS 410 is the E6700, you have installed.

  • How can I add a family member to another computer that already has safety for the family?

I have Family Safety running on 2 PCs at home, but for some reason, I'm not monitored on our laptop? I tried to find out how to change it in case someone is using my account. I can not get this information. Anyone know how to make this change? I want that all family members watched on two PCs.

    Hello

Are you trying to follow your own account? If this is what you want to do and that you are the parent (family safety management) or the administrator of the computer, followed by your own account are impossible. Only the standard users can be added to family safety and parental controls.

  • How can I put the inner workings of the T60P?

Salvation; I have an old T60P who unfortunately getting wet and stopped working.

The company I sent for repairs he had said he needed a new Board of Directors, which would cost £500. I'm not sure I trust them, but I can't deny that the laptop does not work.

I love the screen on the laptop, in particular the 4:3 aspect ratio (I am disgusted that you can get only 16:9 now), so I wonder if it is possible to modernize it with a newer processor and so forth. I remember years ago see a German site where they did exactly this with T60Ps and other Thinkpad models, but I can't find them and I don't know to what extent they would be able to take it.

So is this a desperate dream and I will settle for 16:9 (arrow)?

Besides even if I can't make it faster is there anywhere that I could buy a new card for a reasonable price? I'm sure that I could adapt.

    Thank you.

Oh, I would certainly save this machine... OMG, Yes!

    The basics:

    (a) you can use any motherboard T60p of 14 "or 15" screen standard unit (4:3 aspect ratio), whether the earlier with ATi GPU 5200 or the last with V5250. Advice of 15.4 "widescreen units will NOT fit.

    (b) assuming one of the panels of the aforementioned is used, you can upgrade the processor Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.0 Ghz), T7400 (2.13) or T7600 (2.26 Ghz).

    (c) you can also use a motherboard from a 14 ' 4:3 (non-large) T61/p units, but there are three caveats:

    (1) it is not truly plug-and-play. Some tinkering is needed, you will lose a modem in the process, a little pain.

    (2) If you go with the Board of Directors which has the Intel integrated graphics, video performance will not match what you are used to.

    (3) nVidia GPU used T61/p are subject to failure, so good graphics performance comes at a price to have a time bomb in your laptop.

If the machine was mine, I'd go with the jury T61 with Intel integrated graphics, but I don't really do anything that it is focused on the chart. I would never go with an nVidia GPU, but that's me.

    Good luck.

    Thank you for the research

    Eastham.

PS. your not a 64-bit Intel Core 2 duo processor T2400 is a 32-bit core duo cpu. You can switch to the Core 2 duo, as long as you have a recent update of the bios installed.

  • Motherboard Asus P5LP - limestone with Core 2 Duo... is it possible?

    Hello

So Ive wanted to upgrade my CPU for a while now for my computer HP m7167c with the motherboard Asus P5LP - limestone. On the product information HP on the motherboard, I see Upgrading CPU best I can get is Pentium D or Pentium 4. Given that the motherboard is the LGA 775 socket type, would fit in a Core 2 Duo E7500 Wolfdale. I was hoping that there would be in any way you can do this work., and I have concluded that, although this might be dangerous, it coul be done by flashing the BIOS using windows XP. If there is someone who knows how to do this could you please help me?

    Hello:

It would be 100% chance of not working to install a C2D.

At least with the shot in the dark, you can have a chance on the outside to hit something.

Installation of a Pentium D 945 with the last update of the BIOS provides a better result than shooting in the dark.

Maxing out the memory is a good thing, or add at least 2 x 1 GB sticks to the two empty slots. If you have not done this, I would do it before the upgrade of the processor.

I looked at the specs of product for your PC, and I see no power supply specifications. I need to know what the power of the P/S before recommending a video card with HDMI output for your machine.

  • Can satellite L655-149 - I put Intel Core i5 to i7?

    Hello world

I have the Satellite L655-149 satellite. Can I replace the Core i5 to the Core i7 processor and how?

    Thank you.

    Hey,.

Theoretically, you can upgrade the processor but in this case you will lose your warranty and everything happens on your own risk. In addition he s not supported by Toshiba, which means that no one can tell if the new processor would work correctly or not.

    You should check this article:

  • Can I replace the memory and not lose what is on the old memory for a Mid 2007 Mack computer desktop Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor speed, 1 CPU, 4 MB of Cache L1, the 4 GB memory at 800 MHz bus speed.  Only 1 slot can play memory, the other is damaged

Can I replace the memory and not to lose what's on the memory of the former?  I have a Mid 2007, 20 "desktop Mac, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor, 1 CPU, 4 MB L2 cache, 4 GB of memory, 800 MHz bus speed.  I have a backup device.  A RAM slot is damaged.

You are confused of RAM and disk space available.

RAM stores information temporarily while the Mac is enabled and the application is reached. RAM replacement has no effect on the long term of your information storage.

The hard drive is where your information is stored in the long term. If you replace your hard drive, you need restore the information from a backup.

FYI, for your iMac, the maximum RAM is only 6 GB.
