Can I use air withoug print wireless router?

Is it possible to set up the HP envy 110a for Air printing without a wireless router? Perhaps through a Web site?  Lost.

Hello f5trouble,

You cannot use AirPrint without being connected to a network.  If you do not have a wireless network, you can try to plug in the printer and the iOS via an ad-hoc connection device.  To do this, turn on the wireless.  When you turn on the wireless on the printer without connecting to a network, it will start broadcasting its own network, ussualy called HPSETUP.  Then, you must connect your iOS device to the network that the printer is broadcasting.  Once you have your iOS device and the printer connected via AdHoc, follow the normal steps of AirPrint and it should print. I recommend not setting up the printer and the iOS on an ad-hoc connection device, because it stops broadcasting after an hour, and you will have to reconnect every time you want to use it.

Why can't connect using Apple Airport WIFI of my remote security cameras but can connect using the Xfinity WIFI Modem/Router open?

    Two possibilities:

    (1) your airport WiFi might have a network name that is not in line with best practices, wireless

A good wireless network name is...

... In short no more than 20 characters

Simple... no special characters like an apostrophe, dollar sign, asterisk, etc.

Compact, without spaces in the name

For example, a wireless network network name as... red .dfedoryk Apple wireless network... .is not what you want. Something like... .dfedorykwireless. .. masse are much more likely to connect to non-Apple devices.

    Same guidelines your password

    (2) Apple gives the same name to network 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network that produces double router band.  Some non-Apple devices are confused by the present, you may need to use the option to assign a different name for the network of 5 GHz on the router from Apple. Then, 'point' your device to the network name specific to which you want to connect.

  • Can I use the Time Capsule wireless for multiple computers without using it as a router?

I am looking for an external backup for 2 computers drive.  I have a desktop iMac and MacBook Air.  I like the idea of being able to back up my MacBook Air wireless, but I need to make sure that it will work the way I need to.

I already have a wireless router that works well for me, I don't need the time Capsule to act as a router. I'm just needing a wireless backup drive.  So, the question is, can I use the only time Capsule as a storage device for backup of wifi or do I also have to use it as a wifi router?  My fear is that the router service is not as good as the router, I currently have.  I live in a big House of 2 floors, making it very difficult to receive a strong signal throughout the House.

can I use time Capsule only as a backup wireless storage device or do I also have to use it as a wifi router?

Time Capsule need to connect to your router/modem existing using wired Ethernet wired, permanent.

If you plan to use the time Capsule to back up your Mac with the help of the application Time Machine on every Mac, the Mac will have to save on the wireless signal Time Capsule for the process to be officially supported by Apple.

While it is possible to turn off wireless on the Time Capsule and try to save it to your existing wireless network... and it pourrait work... but there will be no Apple support backup problems... so it would be a good idea to plan to use Time Capsule wireless backup purposes.

  • I can plug a desire 5530 printer wireless HP for my HP Pavilion a1610n

I'm looking to plug the printer wireless to my desktop (2006) older, so we have a connect our laptop and a smart phone all on the same network. I have the cable with a router to operate the laptop and smart tv.  Can hold this office until this printer and if so, a few basic instructions would be great, and if not what printer do you suggest?

    Hello

You have now several devices/wireless devices, only the old PC is NOT currently on your wireless network. My suggestion:

b connect the printer to your network home and it will work with your laptop, iPhone, iPad,... you name it.

    (b) connect the old PC to the router using a cable (the old PC has a LAN port) OR if you wish, just buy a PCI Wireless card for your PC and it will become a wireless device. A card that is similar to the next map will do:

  • What printer model can be used as a real wireless network print/scan/copy A3/A4, with ePrint

I was running around in circles to find an appropriate printer that can do the following

    (1) Automactically detect A3 or A4, size and printing paper so scale is automatically required

    (2) copy an A4 document and even print on A3 paper

    (3) network connectivity - wired and wireless

    (4) mobile printing from iPhone, iPad, Android devices

Please consider this printer will print for most of a mobile device, and printed documents must be printed on A3 paper most of the time as the customer which I hope to buy the printer has difficulties with small reading text.

Appreciate help, if someone can help me.

The HP Officejet 7610 has most of the features you want - see the description of the product here.  It will scan up to 11.79 "x 17" and will print and copy sheets of A3 and A4 format.

    Special features

    A Wi - Fi connection

    Wireless network card included

THE NETWORK PASSWORD NEEDS TO BE 40BITS OR 104BITS DEPENDING ON YOUR NETWORK CONFIGURATION, THIS CAN BE ENTERED AS 5 OR 13 ASCII CHARACTERS OR 10 OR 26 HEXADECIMAL CHARACTERS.

I SPOKE TO SKY AND THEY SAY IT COULD BE MY SETTINGS ON THE COMPUTER AND TO ASK HERE ANY HELP WOULD BE WELCOME THANKS CORDIALLY CHRIS

Make sure you have the latest Service Pack installed (SP3).

Go into your router and select Security WPA2-PSK(with AES) if it is available.  Secure your computer wireless properties select WPA2-Personal security type and select the type of AES encryption.

Enter your password for the router and use the same password when connecting with your computer.

Do NOT enable authentication IEEE 802. 1 x on your computer or the router.  In the router DO NOT select a type safety 'company '.  Company type safety requires authentication IEEE 802. 1 x and IEEE 802. 1 x authentication requires a radius server, these methods of authentication are used usually only in the business circles.
