  Click Manage store (settings > iCloud > storage > Storage manage and you see what moves backup iCloud storage.)

• Can I use the total amount of resources (cpu/ram) of two esxi hosts if I place a cluster so that a single VM gets all resources?

  I use vCenter 5.1 with two esxi 5 guests, both exactly the same (Evga SR - 2 pc with two Intel x 5670 each) with the exception of the disk storage. Processor x 5670 a 12 hearts if HT is enabled. Since then, I have 4 of these processors that would be 48 cores. Each processor is clocked at 4 GHz for a total of 16 GHz. Each host would also 24GO of total Yes 48 GB of ram.

  I doubt that this is possible, but what I want to do is to install a virtual machine like Win 7 x 64 and give all these resources to it... all of them (perhaps leave some carrots and ram aside for guests of esxi, of course). This vm is run to 16 GHz? It would be nice if we could create a cluster with a Setup like this and give the "total available resources' for a single virtual machine running on a esxi host.

  I doubt that this is possible because I've tried that before and it wouldn't let me create a virtual machine with this number of nuclei or ram because he said that they were not available or something... as if to suggest that I can only use the total amount of resources to AN esxi host.

  There may be another way I could give this 16 GHz machine?

  Update: I should have clarified. I posted this under VSA so I assumed it was clear that the issue was linked to VSA. VSA 1.0 _automatically_ creates a network of cluster and vMotion. I don't want this configuration as I have 8 vmnic, not 4. So instead of sharing the vSwitch, I hope that I can devote the vmnic.

  If I have 8 network cards, can I use my network cards and dedicate for vMotion? For example I create an another vSwitch, then devote 2 vmnic to it.

  The manual indicates that HA will use a network other than the ESXi management network. I thought HA always use the ESXi management network?

  Software requirements for ESXi in a Cluster VSA

   

  vSphere standard switch and the configuration of the port group

  Each ESXi host must only have the default vSphere standard

  switches or groups of ports that are created during the installation.

  You don't need to configure any port or additional switches

  groups.

  So, in summary, you should have at least 4 cards network

  If you have 8 NIC you can only add network cards to existing switches for additional flow/redundancy

  So changing the vSwitches/Exchange is not supported

  I would like to see what happens if you do it well

  Hi, I have a cluster HA 3 node with 3 servers esx 3.0.1 running. I have a new 4th server which is esx 3.5 and I want to use as a member of the existing HA cluster. I was told that I can use a 3.5 server in a HA cluster that uses esx 3.0.1

  I added the 4th node successfully to the HA by using Virtual Center Server cluster. When I try to vmotion an existing to the new node virtual computer, I get an error message relating to the processor type. The error message indicates that:

  "host processor type is incompatible with the requirements of the virtual machines to the CPUID level."

  How will I know if the new 4th node has a type of processor that should work in a HA environment with my 3 existing nodes?

  I was told that I could run an esx 3.5 in a 3.0.1 cluster HA (I'll upgrade all three 3.0.1 nodes in January).

  We said that the processors could be dofferent in a HA cluster but must be of the same type. The processors in the server are:

  PowerEdge 2950 intel xeon e5335 2.00 ghz (esx 3.01)

  PowerEdge r710 intel xeon e5504 2.00 ghz (esx 3.5)

  I want to confirm that these servers must work together using vMotion in a HA cluster?

  I use the table of the Cluster service.  The only way I know to the size of the cluster is to right click on the function and set the Cluster size.  But what happens if the length of my table changes?  Is there a way to make the cluster size is the number of elements in the table?  Seems like labview should do this automatically at run time.  There may be some nodes of property I don't know.

  I tried the SQL statements, but it always boils down to having to know the number of columns is in the database prior to execution.

  What I did to generate the object to be a cluster to match database fields.  My recordset is an array of objects.  Then I a vi member to build a recordset from the database and another Member vi to retrieve an array of clusters of the recordset object.  If the database changes, I have to change the subject and these two vi.  All the other Subvi call these two for the manipulation of data.  No other sub - VI have bundle and ungroup functions in them, only the vi of two members.  Thus a change in the database requires a change of control and two vi.  Not too bad.

  (I'm tooting my Horn in choosing me as accetped solution provider.  I learned this bad habit of others here on the forum.  )
