Can I use MS Team System (Team Foundation Server)?

Hello

Our development team uses Microsoft TeamSystem (Team Foundation Server), and I wonder if I can use RoboHelp 7 and have the help sources of files under version control for Team Foundation Server.

If possitive, including RoboHelp flavor do I need to buy, and how to I set up in roboHelp?
Note that I want to build an intranet site and help HTML.

TIA,

André

For RoboHelp 7 integrated with Team Foundation (2005), I did the following (based on responses in this topic):
1 uninstalled RoboSource Control. (Not sure if this is a required step)
2. install the Team Foundation Client.
3. subsequently the MSSCCI (as Amebr noted previously) provider installed.
I now have the tab control of Source code in the tools > Options dialog box.
4. I expect a file > Version Control > add to Version Control menu option, but after my update to 7.01 to 7.02, he disappeared (?).
However, I had to show the toolbar of Version control, and then press Add to Version control icon.

It gives me the opportunity to connect to Team Foundation server and check in the RoboHelp project files.

  • Team Foundation Server Issues in the Oracle (ODT) database project

    Hi all

Developer Dotnet and Oracle, I fortunately came across the ODT.
Unfortunately, I have some problems in combination with the Team Foundation Server that hopefully someone here, the experts may resolve.

    So, it's the environment...

    Client:
    Windows 7 business
    Teacher of Visual Studio 2010.
    ODT with ODAC 12.1.0.1.0

    Servers:
Foundation of the Server 2012 team
    Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64 bit

    Description of the problem:

Well, almost everything seems to be working.
I can connect to my database diagram in Server Explorer, edit and save back views, functions, packages,... and save them to the server.
I can create a new "project database Oracle" in Visual Studio.
Now, I right click and select "generate the Script to create project". This also works very well. Points of view or anything else I clicked are added to the Oracle database project.
Finally I select 'Add to Source code control' and the whole solution and any addition of scripts are archived as you wish.
I can now change, automatically checked it as used in th IDE of VS.
    Works perfectly so far...

But now I have problems to add new scripts. It makes me crazy.
I right click again on a new view, etc. and select "Generate the Script to create project". The script is added to the same Oracle database project.
The project file is also removed, because it now has a new added file. BUT the same script file will not be added to the source control.
And worse yet, I'm not easily able to add the file manually in the context menu of the command "Add to source control" or something similar.
The only way is to open windows Explorer, move to the previously added script file and add it to source code control using power tools shell extensions.
I can't imagine that this is the way planned to add additional scripts to the ODP.

So is there anyone around who can tell me how to solve this problem?

    Best regards
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

I have recently come to know that there actually is a bug very similar to the old version of Oracle development tools.

It is fixed in the latest version (12.1.0.1.2 or later).

When you get a chance, please try it.

    Thank you

  • How to temporarily disable certain features such as SQL Server & Team Foundation Server?

As a freelancer, I have a single power PC that I use for development, but also of the games (when it's time to wind down). Now, as we know, a typical development of Microsoft PC will have Microsoft SQL Server (Express) or Microsoft Team Foundation Server (Express).

Now, the two SQL Server TFS & consist of one or several background services, etc. Time (at night) to wind down and do a bit of gaming, I need all the power as well and these servers (SQL & TFS) are still there on the machine using the valuable resources when they are not really needed.

I would like to know if there is a way to manually disable SQL Server (Express) and Team Foundation Server (Express) on the machine and then be able to either manually enable them, or have them reactivated the next time I start up. Since I am not uninstall applications, they would go back to their normal state at the next startup.

    Hello

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community!

If I understand correctly, you want to disable SQL server team foundation manually.

The question you posted would be better in the TechNet forums. Please post the question here:

  • I'm unable to connect to the internet and I also can not use the WinXP system restore.

No internet connection and I also can not use the WinXP system restore because it gives me an error at the 'end' which said: it cannot be restored to an earlier date.  I run AntiMalware bytes and StopZilla and erased all that they found.  Now I can't even connect to the internet.  When I go to the command prompt, it gives me an error contact the Support of MS that I know means I have a virus or a trojan that I should just get a time out?  My other PC on the same network is fine and connected.  The NETWORK card is fine, just does not know how to get rid of what it is, I have and to top it all impossible to connect to the internet to try all of the tools that can help.  Someone at - it ideas?

The error you get at the end of the restoration of the system is typical of some anti-virus programs (Norton, especially) that interfere with the restoration of the system.  Try to start your computer in Mode safe (on several occasions, key to tap F8 while your computer starts) and run safe mode system restore.

Additional information is necessary to treat your network problem.  Try to bring up a command prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") or if it does not, try (start-> Run-> "command.com") and enter the command:
    ipconfig/all
and after the info that appears in the State resulting.

Also, check the logs of your system related errors (start-> Run-> "eventvwr.msc") and click on 'System' in the left column.

  • Can we use provider services talk to Essbase server by using the API

    Hi all
I work with the API for essbase and thought if we could use the services of the provider to talk to Essbase using the API.

    Is it possible anyway?

Second, the provider's services existed in older versions of Essbase?

    Please suggest

Take a look at using the essbase API Java that you can communicate with essbase via provider's services.
Before he was known as a provider of Services (version 9 and following), it was EDS (Essbase - Version 7 Deployment Services)

  • Team Foundation Build Service - setting of the Build Server

  • Satellite A110-275: can I use FAT32 instead of NTFS with recovery CD?

    Satellite A110-275
Can I use the file system fat32 instead of ntfs disk recovery system.

    Hello

Well, on the Toshiba Recovery CD you will find only the ghosts.
This ghost files contains image with all the files and data from HARD drive.
I guess that the image was made on NTFS.

I think it s not able to change the file system on the HARD disk without formatting or losing data on this HARD drive.
If you want to change the FAT32 file system, you must format the HDD to FAT32.

But I put t know why you want to do. It makes no sense to me.
In my opinion, the NTFS system is more powerful than FAT32

Please can you use a client system runing windows 7 ultimate as a Server in your organization without installation of a windows Server 2003 / 2008 on the system? Please l want detailed ANSWER

No, no, if you want to be able to run Microsoft Exchange, share databases at the same time, give different privileges on individual computers that require access to the server.

A server operating system is designed to be the point central network and has tools to ensure. Client Windows 7 OS does not work, and they can't be added.
