  I use TB on this system with the same ISP for years.

  I have an account I just check every 2 weeks or more. TB launched today to check mail and got the update notice. SO I said OK and did the upgrade to 31.4. During the upgrade, it warned that there are additional AVG. I hit "checf for the module", and he sent back a message that none are available. I said OK, go on without her.

  I restarted TB after the upgrade - and no message is downloaded. I get no error - I just get no message. I am connected to the host of webmail, validate my creds account and verified that there are approximately 130 pending messages. (Typical).

  When I type 'check mail', I get the message in the lower left corner it to connect to verizon pop.verizon.netand progress display in the lower right "progresses" for about 10 seconds. Then the message disappears. No error, no mail received, either.

  What type of recovery system are you running? What are the exact error you are receiveing? You can also save all your data and perform a repair XP installation. See below on how to do this.

  1.	When the message Press any key to boot from the CD appears on your screen, press a key to start your computer from the Windows XP CD.
  2.	When you see the message to install Windows XP nowand then press ENTER is displayed on the Welcome to the Setup screen, press ENTER.
  3.	Do not choose the option to press R to use the Recovery Console.
  4.	In the Windows XP licensing agreement, press F8 to accept the license agreement.
  5.	Make sure that your current installation of Windows XP is selected in the box, and then press R to repair Windows XP.
  6.	Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

  Hi Brucgovn, thanks for the answer! Just sorted and came here to update the post.

  My method is similar, I just do the following:

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\CoreSyncExtension (this was the only file on the left, all others had been removed from the CreativeCloudCleaner use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems running
  2. I came across the problem trying to remove, so used Unlocker (Download Unlocker 1.9.2 - FileHippo.com) to unlock. Then deleted. It's explorer.exe using the process, which I think caused questions... the process is using the file
  3. Reinstalled and everything seems to work.
