• I have a picture in the current folder that I can use to place the image on a page, but it is absent, if I try to hyperlink to it.  How to solve that?

  I use thimbnails which has a link to the expanded images.  I just loaded several file assets intothe images that I can then open and place the image on a page.  However, when I try to hyperlink to this image, the image is not listed in the assets.  Any ideas as to why and how to fix this?

• Inactive-tools - can not do anything with images

  Yesterday, I pulled up a new file and placed an embedded image. Instead of the usual selection tool, there is a small white hand. I can click on the various tools on the left side of the paint, extra, etc., but when I return to the image, nothing happens. No matter what tool is selected, hand stands, and I can't even move the image.

  I have all the redefined tools and preferences while starting the program, all to nothing does not. I don't have any third-party extensions. I have not changed the settings recently, so I'm really at a loss as to what it means.

  Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated. I couldn't find anything else online, so if you have any ideas, I'm ready to give them a try.

  First thoughts (and you may have tried some of them):

  • Press the space bar. This could get the computer or the keyboard, take off, if that's the problem.
  • Restart your computer. A simple reboot has been known to fix many a thing!
  • Use of memory. Check how much your memory is used in the activity monitor. In the memory usage pourrait cause problems as you see
  • Try to install the WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin
  • Disable GPU acceleration in Photoshop and revived Photoshop preferences (Edit > Preferences > Performance)

  Transferred to vSphere install and upgrade day & forum.

  Go to http://www.vmware.com/downloads you can then select vSphere. To do this, you will need to connect to your VMware Store account and then download the appropriate ISOs. Without the VMware Store account you can not download the images. If you select evaluation, you will need to complete administrative formalities, then wait for a response. Which can take 24 hours or more.

• Can not directly rate my Images in Adobe Bridge CS3 using Stars

  I can write my images in Adobe Bridge CS3 by using the drop-down list "Label". However, I can't rate my picture by stars directly under my thumbnails like my book says I can. The book says: 'You can also assign the stars directly under the tile by clicking on the points'.

  Is there anyway that I can do this? Do I have to change some preferences?

  try to reset your preferences by CTRL-right after you launch Bridge(you have to be fast, you'll get a dialog box if you succeeded)

  However, you will need to do this only if you do it right in the first place. With a selected image, you will notice small 5 points below its thumbnail in which you can click on to rate things. If you do not see the points then increase the size of the thumbnails by adjusting the slider at the bottom of the screen

• Can not upgrade the system image on a flash drive

  I am running Windows 7 on an Optiplex 780 desktop computer.  I want to put the image of the system and a repair on a flash drive disc.  The choices seem to make it impossible.  Is there a way to do this?  Is this a bad idea?  If so, why?

  Hi Jan,

  I'm not an expert on the subject by any means, so I could be wrong (and I hope someone will correct me if I am) but I don't think you can do this on a single USB.  I think, because both the iso image and the repair utility both must be bootable on USB port, it won't work.   At least, not easily.  There may be some company out there that offer this feature, but basic Windows Imaging and repair utilities, I don't think it will work.

  I did a google search and could not find someone announces a way to do it on a single USB key.  It could be simply the keywords I used.

  Mainly looking to have a simple USB for use in a large number of 780s installed?

• I can not sign PDFs with images

  I'm on a Mac OSX 10.8.5 and I'm trying to follow these instructions: forms of financial aid AMS by Rachael Arestad on Prezi using Adobe Reader 11.0.10. However, there are a few problems that come up.

  (1) I cannot print the PDF in PDF format as the tutorial wants me, I can record only. Why, he wants me to print to PDF is beyond me.

  (2) if I try to add an image as a signature, player tells me to save a copy. OK so I click on save a copy and I try again... and he tells me to save another copy! (ad infinitum)

  What happens here? Sorry if I come off as bad mood, but it is a surreal and frustrating problem.

  The author of the piece is, frankly, misinformed.

  1. they use Adobe Acrobat Reader. He has not been called that in 10 years. This is Adobe Reader. But it's not important. But I mention it because the product names are critical here.

  2. they use the "Adobe PDF" printer. But this is not and has never been part of Adobe free Reader. It is included in the Adobe Acrobat product ($$).

  3. this option is no longer available on Mac OS even if you buy Acrobat.

  Now save it one thing to copy. If you save a copy, you need to register a new name. THEN, you close the document that you are working and OPEN THE COPY.

  How can I select with more details?

  Try turning off your CSS.  View > Style made > uncheck display Styles.

  You will see an HTML page without style which is often easier to work with.  This will not affect your styles in Live View or preview.

  You can also use a the design-TIME Style sheet.
