  • Boot Camp can not install Windows because of the formatting?

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro (500 GB to 8 GB memory storage) with the OS X 10.11.3. I try to install Windows 8 Pro (64-bit) using Boot Camp. When I restart my computer after creating the partition, I have two USB ins journal. They say Windows and the other says Boot EFI. When I click on the option of Windows, I am taken to a screen that says that there is no bootable disk and restart with an inserted. When I click on Boot EFI, I did get into the Windows partition and can start set up for installation, but when I get to the stage where it asks me to install Windows, none of the listed drives are able to have Windows installed. I have a list of 4 disks, all drive 0 and then partition 1,2,3,4 respectively. 4 is the one that is 46.6 GB (I created Windows to be 50 GB), so I guess it's that I need to be installed in. However, when I click on any of the partitions, this message appears: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows cannot be installed to GPT disks. Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu. "After talking with the Apple support (who told me it was a matter of putting in the form any and to talk to the Windows how do I reformat) and Windows support (who took the opportunity to remind me why I had stopped using them in the first place), I think I have a better idea of what it means , but I have no idea what to do about this. Anyone have an idea how I can fix?

    You have two choices.

    1. use GPT Fdisk to delete the MBR and continue boot EFI. Later, it is problematic when you install the drivers for the Apple hardware.

2 use a USB2 flash drive and let BCA create setup of USB and partition your drive. No matter what Manual partitioning or manipulate the installer USB can cause problems.

  • Can not install windows update to KB2656362 get the error code 880070490. Run fix, but it has not fixed the problem.

    Can not fix with fixit.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/Windows-Update-error-80070490

If you receive the Windows Update 80070490 error, it means that a file (CBS Manifest) that is needed to install updates is corrupt. To correct this problem, you will need repair Windows. Repair Windows will not damage your personal files or the programs that are installed on your computer.

The System Update Readiness Tool for Windows can correct some conditions that cause Windows Update 80070490 error. You can access and run this tool by reading this Knowledge Base article on the Microsoft Web site.

If the system update readiness tool solves the problem, you will need repair Windows.

Of course a repair installation will not solve the problem if it is due to an infection of virus/malware etc.

  • Can not install Windows on Portege M200

    Hello
I bought a Portege M200 opportunity. I discovered that the HARD drive was broken, so I bought a new one, plus a (160 GB)
I know the problems Porteges can do when triing to install the OS on them, so I used this tutorial for installation of the network:
    [http://blog.ryantadams.com/2008/02/01/how-to-boot-from-the-network-pxe-boot-with-tftp-and-windows-pe/ | http://blog.ryantadams.com/2008/02/01/how-to-boot-from-the-network-pxe-boot-with-tftp-and-windows-pe/]

everything worked well. then, my xp installation 'button' was grey, so I went with this tutorial:
    http://blog.ryantadams.com/2008/07/30/option-to-install-Windows-is-grayed-out-when-running-network-install/

that worked well, too. The installer kopies some files and the desire to do a restart. So he brought me to Windows PE, I typed 'wpeutil reboot' as described in the second tutorial. My PC has started again and then nothing happens.
I chossed "boot from HDD" and all I can see is a black screen with a small flashing underscore white top.

IT IS REALLY FRUSTRATING. I also tried another method, for example the back of things (like I got [my R100 to work | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=120473]), with the same result.

Thanks a lot for your help!

You have a smaller HARD drive you can try?

The M200 may be limited to 120 GB HDD due to the LBA48 137 GB limit. More info here: http://www.48bitlba.com/

Ultimately, you must use the original Toshiba Portege M200 recovery disk to reinstall Windows. You can order from Toshiba https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • Changed HARD drive and now I can not install windows 7

I bought a new HARD drive and interlaced old, now I am trying to install windows 7 home Premium and I get an error: "Windows Setup cannot configure Windows to run on this hardware of computers.

    See if it works...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&keyword=Intel+RAPI...

Copy the files to a flash usb without all the folders drive.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and I hope, will install W7.

  • I can not install Windows Defender 64

I want Windows Defender on my computer. I went to the site of Defender and downloaded the X 64 version. My system is a 64-bit system. When I tried to install it I got an error message "you need not to install this software, because Windows Defender is included in Windows Vista. You can access Windows Defender from the Security section of the Windows Control Panel. "The problem with this is that there is no section No. security listed in my control panel. This computer has never had Vista installed on it! What should I do now?

You should only use an antivirus programs, using several programs at the same time will cause problems.

By default, Windows already has Defender it contains, and where, let's say that you install MS security essentials, security essentials disables Defender.

My advice would be to use MS security essentials and use only malware cleaner so essential to security cannot cure a problem.

If you do not pick up a virus and security essentials cannot heal, I suggest to use this program:

  • having the 1935 error code and can not install windows vista from my recovery disc

I have a recurring error when trying to install all programs (Error 1935).

and have reinstalled windows using my vista full 23 bits and when installing any program, even a basic program I get the error code 1935. I have a recovery disk, but I don't know how to start to charge and use the recovery disc supplied with my PC
can someone help please because I am a beginner

    Thank you very much
    Dave

Each manufacturer is different things about the recovery partition.  You need to contact the computer manufacturer (online - they can publish procedures - or by telephone) for instructions on how to use the recovery disk (there are probably a combination of special keys at boot that activates the process).  Keep in mind that this type of resettlement will completely eliminate your primary system partition, so don't forget to backup your important data until you try it.

Here is an article on the 1935 error and solution to fix it.  Maybe this will help (he has a little advanced, but so is the problem then do your best to fight the operating instructions).  http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2004/11/10/255346.aspx.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP ProLiant DL380 G4 can not install Windows 2003 x 64 error «...» CPU is not compatible with x 64 mode... »

I try to install a Win2003 64 bit VM on ESXi 4 but get the error that x 64 processor not supported. The server has Intel E7520 Chipset and Xeon 2 x 64-bit clocked at 3.6 GHz processors. It should be possible to run virtual machines with Win2003 x 64, right? Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks for any help.

While ESXi 4 will install, DL380 G4 platform is not supported.  This generation of processor (Xeon 51xx) taken supported operating systems for 64-bit, but there is no VT extensions.  It's why he can't support 64-bit clients.
