  This additional software was shipped only with the image of Toshiba and cannot be downloaded for free! You must understand that there are different copyright restrictions and original Toshiba software (drivers & Utilities) can be downloaded from the Toshiba page.

  But in your case I would not install Windows 7 because it s only a beta version and can cause many problems. Moreover, I don't see a reason to install Windows 7. I am still using Windows XP and it s enough for me.

  Normally, you can download the drivers on the Toshiba site, but for a beta OS you won't find not all the drivers on the Web site. If you're searching on external sites as Intel find some.

  I totally agree with the above user. The Storage Manager provides AHCI drivers and shouldn't t be deleted. It of necessary on never cell phone that works on the AHCI mode.
  You can try to stop the service, as Al - eX has suggested, but I think that this will cause a BSOD.

  I think it would be a better option if you remove other programs you n t need (software test e. g.). Also used CCleaner to clean the registry and defragment the HARD disk in order to speed up.

  I put t know how much it costs to upgrade to 4 GB of RAM. This according to the modules that you can buy and where buy you it.
  Upgrade the RAM, you need modules with DDR2 (667 MHZ) specification.

  As you can see a free update is possible on mobile phones purchased from June 26, 2009 to January 31, 2010.
  In addition your model isn't Windows 7 supported. There only driver limited support for a clean install of Windows 7 and so that you can t get a disc of Windows 7 at Toshiba.

  I have a Satellite A200. PSAFCA-01K00J. It is the system bought in Australia around mid-2007. There are currently a processor Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 intslalled on the system graphics.

  Preliminary investigation which leads me to believe, there are limited options of upgrade for the laptop, but there seems to be a number of anomalies to lead me to think the upgrade may be at hand. For example.

  In my user manual, he described my gpu in the following way:

  model lnVidia GeForce Go 7300:
  128 MB external VGA DDR2 RAM (depending on the model you have purchased).

  The external Word I think fact now refers to the interface type. As some A200 Intel 258 MB marked as integrated Gpu (and I'm the average current integrated without possibility of upgrade).   In my opinion it's not possible to change the graphics card. As far as I know the graphics chip is soldered on the motherboard.

  In addition, if the graphics card would be exchangeable I think than the motherboard or BIOS will not support the new graphics card. The point is that laptops are not favourable so upgrade as a desktop PC.

  I plug just a toshiba satellite a200-1he of Spain, and as you can guess vista is in Spanish.
  I borrowed an en vista Home premium dvd and activated with the cd - key that I received with the laptop, and it worked, vista is activated.
  Then I started to install the drivers. When trying to install "hardware configuration" and "sd utilities blah blah blah" and the error appeared: "serial number is invalid '.

  And more the fn key does not work. If someone knows a sollution or something do not be shy and post a reply.

  I installed a couple of days Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. Surprisingly almost everything has started working the first less than 10 minutes, in which Ubuntu has been kindly download all the things I needed and just exploded a comfirmation balloon, which I can't say for the WinXP, although there are official Toshiba drivers. : P

  There is a small problem. As indicated in the subject of this thread - I need bluetooth drivers or something got my bluetooth works (it does not at all!). I don't know that I'm not the only one with Ubuntu on his Satellite A200 - 14 d (PSAECE). So if someone has solved this problem, please share your experience here so that not only I, but all who want a Ubuntu with Bluetooth running can take advantage of this. :)
