  It seems that you did not create the Toshiba Recovery disk which is advisable in order to reset the computer laptop back to factory settings

  The size of the video RAM will be automatically controlled and therefore you will not find an option in the BIOS or nowhere else to change this.
  So if an application video RAM needs more the size of the video RAM will be strengthened.

  As far as I know the Satellite P200 came with Vista 32 bit. Is this correct?

  Hi Levooz,

  I agree with the user above. Normally the A80 was equipped with Toshiba Recovery disk that you can use to restore the factory settings. You must boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen.

  It is there no partition recovery or something like that for this laptop

  So, if you have n t drive recovery, to ask if authorized service provider they can order it for you. :)

  If you have the recovery disk Toshiba, you must start only to it.
  Go to the start menu and select the CD/DVD drive, or you change the boot order in the BIOS that you can boot from the CD/DVD drive first.

  If the green light of LAN port lights if a cable is connected to the port LAN work physically so I doubt s faulty.

  I live in amman-Jordan, I bought a laptop Satellite A200-1Z3, and the third day I found the cracked screen, I went to the store of toshiba in amman and asked me for a new, but have said it will follow the coast me $ 563,3 so I went home and searched the internet ((ebay)) I found a lot of screens and all around $ 140 , but the problem is I can't tell which model I need... and where I can find a good price in the USA... Please help me.

  As I'm not living in the United States I can't tell where you could get a good price on a new laptop screen. Think you could google stores a bit to find space.
  To know what screen you have, you may ask ASP or Toshiba store where you were already.

  But, if you could manage get a new screen for your computer, you will need to replace it with the damaged and I'm sure that's not as easy as the upgrade of RAM or HARD drive. Don't know how experienced you are in these things, but I'm not on my own, unless guarantee is lost if you do it yourself.

  It's expensive, but better that way then lose warranty or destroy something.

  What did you do that your screen has cracked anyway?

  I have the same problem as many of you already described here. After downgrading from Win XP, I discovered this part of the features enabled by the FN key don't work, for example FN + F2 FN + F6, FN + F7, FN + F8, FN + F9, FN + F12, FN + 1, FN + 2, FN + TAB.

  I read in this forum and found that you can solve this problem be reinstall BIOS. When I tried to download BIOS on site it requires Pass and Login which I don't have. If you have any suggestions to download it from there?

  If not, how I can activate keboard light FN + F2 and the scroll Lock FN + F9 without button FN button.

  You story sounds strange for me because I have visited the Toshiba European page and choose your model. Satellite A200-1z3 PSAE3E.

  First of all I'm new here so Hello to everyone here and I hope you can help me with my problems of software.

  I recently bought a laptop model Toshiba Satellite A200-1YO provided with windows vista (which must be frank, pants and IMO too demanding for the machine) and I have a problem with vista, because some of its features do not seem to work, for example, I'm having a lot of trouble getting some of the webpages to open now, they simply hang out.

  now, I didn't install windows xp but I don't have an external floppy drive. This is not a problem but because I can use Nlite to integrate the drivers in a new ISO of Windows XP.

  The problem is that I have 4 sets of drivers: ICH7M_32bit, ICH7M_64bit, ICH8M_32bit and ICH8M_64bit. As I install Windows XP 32-bit while I'm more or less some that I have not need 64-bit drivers but when I install Windows XP by using the modified version of windows xp slipstreamed, what I get at startup is a BSD error telling me that something has crashed on my hard drive , however I can't say which crashed as the screen disappears after 15 seconds if that so I guess there is something wrong with the drivers I use (though I must admit that I'm not sure the drivers 32-bit to use)

  advice and assistance regarding being able to install windows xp would be welcome, as I said above, however, I can only use Nlite since I do not have a usb floppy drive.

  Satellite A200-1YO has a chip with the ICH8M southbridge Intel GM965.

  So you need the driver for SATA ICH8M_32bit.

  All I know is some BIOS designed for Windows XP Home edition for computer series laptop Satellite A200. I installed Windows XP Home edition on my A200 but some FN keys do not work properly. Other stuff works well and WXP turns quite quickly.

  I recommend installing WXP without updated BIOS to see if there is a serious problem. If this is not the case, leave such BIOS what.
