  I wanted to have a file that would set globally accessible variables to contain passwords, and I want to put this file outside the web root, so that users can not access.

  Logical pathnames of course won't work.  And the cfinclude tag doesn't use physical paths.

  Almost all your CFML files should not be in a directory web-driven!  That those people really are looking for should be accessible web.

  Files must not be accessible to be web - ed or be instantiated as objects, or used as a custom tag.

  FOR EXAMPLE:

  C:\webapps\myapp<= this="" dir="" is="" the="" root="" as="" far="" as="" coldfusion="" is="">

  C:\webapps\myapp\wwwroot<= that="" dir="" is="" the="" webroot="" as="" far="" as="" the="" web="" server="">

  The only things that should be dir wwwroot files people really browse (index.cfm, etc.) and components such as images, JS and CSS files that must be served to the browser.

  Most of your CFM files must be in a subdirectory of C:\webapps\myapp.

  So index.cfm must be traveled, and it must use the data in secretSecureStuff.cfm which is in understand this respectively.  Then index.cfm is just:

  My guess is that you have a damaged or invalid certificate entry OS X KeyChain, but to directly answer this question, I would say that consider you something like HTTPS Everywhere. Note, it is not available for Safari. It is available directly through the Google Chrome browser extensions.

  It is very easy to give the users rights to other folders by right-clicking on a folder or a file and selecting Properties, then security (re para below I just checked prior to this announcement and there is a link on the Security screen 'learn on the access control and permissions'. If logged in as an administrator, then you can do what you like, connected as a user for you only the things you 'clean '. However if it is simple to do, you should also understand its effects. If your machine is used only by yourself or people that you are happy to have provided full access to the hard drive then you don't remove no permission and that you are confident, no one will remove/mess with the files they don't own then begin.

  It would be a good idea to type "permissions" in windows 'Help and Support' and spend time following the topics that seem to be relevant. A quick google didn't find an idiots guide - everything seems to be 'network' based and has too much information. I think that following the instructions in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article [how to configure file sharing in Windows XP | http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040] will allow you to get what you want in the safest way. I am new to Windows 7, but have no reason to think there will be much difference in the "screens".   I just got this and try to understand. I see lots of files in file HP Manager but when I plug the Tablet inot my PC I see only 2... DCIM and photos, and has nothing under them (except a picture I took) as well as a file that I created. When I try to copy something the PC in the folder I created I get a message: "cannot collapsed copy device not responding or has been disconnected" but I can copy a PDF file of the tablet to the PC. I access to the internal memory as I don't have a microSD yet (if that makes a difference).

  I plugged it as PTP, because if I connect like PSG, Windows Explorer is not recognize and see the tablet.

  Then I could see the internal memory and the SD card as external storage on my PC.

  There should be a directory called local folders under the message store and eml files organized into folders named after the directories under this directory are.  They may be hidden files, so make sure that you have enabled the display of hidden files and folders under control panel | Folder options | View.  You can also try to search *.eml, because messages are stored as eml files.  See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for background.

  I want to copy some files (via usb) on the playbook, lets say, I copy a directory myinfo in the top-level folder of my playbook from a PC, the file contains:

  • a txt file
  • a jpg file
  • and an mp3 file

  From an application written using the native SDK, I see the directory 3 files it contains? or can I only access mp3 files via a shared directory / music (so lose all the info on the book and does not see the other 2 files with it)

  You mention "top-level folder", but notes that no application can write either in the folder root (i.e. /) nor can they write to the top-level folder.  They can only write to their own. / file data or with specified permission (access_shared) for the subfolders of shared /.

  But to answer the specific question, with the specified access_shared, your application can certainly access all files under shared, even if they are music which are written out of the shared directory files / music.  You could say most of these records are to be used for various system, but a given application can do something different, if she wants to.  In some cases that may mean giving some features of the system, but no doubt it is a choice, you'd do a base case once you understand the system better.
