can't Flash player-show in my addons. It has installed two times.

This is probably the 5th time I tried to switch to Firefox as my browser, but I ended up always frustrated when I can't read videos and I look for answers on how to solve it, hours and hours lost, after I tried several options, but nothing.
I just followed the instructions, once again, for the installation of Flash Player for Firefox, even you it was already installed on my computer (as is always at the front) and its working perfectly for IE and Chrome.
Followed the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-flash-plugin-view-videos-animations-games#w_installing-the-flash-plugin-manually
exactly as it says, but when I go to add ons Manager and pluggins isn't here at all.

I would really like to use Firefox as my browser as I do not like google, but this is just too frustrating and it seems complicated, which I do not understand why?

Anyone can help and show me how to do this? Thank you!

You have probably installed a 64 bit version of Flash for Firefox plugin.

Firefox is a 332-bit application, so you need 32-bit versions of a plugin to make it work.

You can find the 32-bit version of the Flash Player installer for a 32-bit version of Firefox here (scroll down to Flash Player (32-bit)):

    Hi johnd30487344,

If you use Mac OS, this password is presented by your operating system and is designed to prevent you from accidentally installing the software.

If it comes to your personal computer and you don't need a password to connect to the computer when it first starts, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to go to this prompt.  If it comes to your personal computer and your normal password does not work, make sure that CAPS LOCK SHIFT is off, and then type the password carefully.

If this is your work machine and he asks an administrator password, well, you will need to have a conversation with your computer friendly.

If you are still puzzled, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

    a. click Start , then type inetcpl.cpl in the start search box and press ENTER.

    (b) this will open the Internet Options window.

    c. click programs , and then select Manage Add-ons.

    d. select toolbars and extensions and click on display all add-ons.

    e. disable all Adobe products, you see in the list, and then press ok and close the Internet Options window.

    Method 2:

Run the uninstall program to install fixit

    a. run the fixit for the link. Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/

    b. follow the onscreen instructions.

    c. when requested, select the option: detect problems and apply the patches for me (recommended).

I also have the problem of the error message shown above.

I checked IE 8 (Windows XP), I am the administrator and connect only to identity card), is running 32-bit, downloaded & ran the uninstaller Adobe, rebooted, reinstalled from the Adobe site, rebooted and have made this several times without success. I read the thread on the Flash display in Firefox... so I downloaded Firefox and seen the Tube U tutorials in this browser very well. Does not work in my IE8. (I also went to: IE/tools/manage add-ons (all add-ons), but the shock wave is not listed there) (see hidden files is enabled)

    Hey Papi Williams,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

From the description of the problem, it seems that you are unable to download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player on your computer. I understand the inconvenience.

    1. What version of Adobe flash player you have downloaded?
    2. What Web browser are you using to view the website?
    3. Which site did you download Adobe Flash Player?

Let us try the following steps and check if it helps to solve the problem.

You can read this article and check if the Flash Player is installed correctly on the computer.

Flash Player help / find the version

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/find-version-Flash-Player.html

Method 1: first of all, use this utility to uninstall the existing flash player http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/141/tn_14157.html

Method 2: Reinstall Adobe Flash Player

Well that's another few hours of my life wasted Firefox now. The application becomes much too tweaky. If it WORKS its not outdated.

The version I had was actually downloaded by me on 8/11. 23_ppau_a

BUT when I downloaded again, the file name is a little different. 23_a

So now I can get it to claim to be installed.

But I have no idea what the number exact rev is - Adobe does not have the FULL rev number in their .dmg file name.

  • Flash player 11 (11.1.102.55) turns off every time that I reboot!   Win 7 - Thinkpad T500

The craziest thing happened to my laptop.  I had this problem for about 3 weeks.  Whenever I reboot, Adobe Flash Devils player himself.  I say turn off rather than uninstall since when I look in the section programs under control panel it says Flash Player 11.1.102.55 is here.   But when I try to play something like a YouTube video or anything that requires Flash Player it will not run and wrote "you need to update your Adobe Flash Player" or in the case of a video YouTube integrated into a site it says "Adobe Flash Player or browser HTML5 support is required for video playback.".  I use IE 9 to my browser.  So I have to re - install Flash Player on the laptop, and then I can once again play video.

So I just see next point today when I started my computer in the morning. First time I saw it.   From the start and not to do one thing for the laptop, but startup, Windows gave me a message that says "Installing/uninstalling Flash Player 10.1 Adobe r102 has stopped working".  He then generated some files for me and asked if I wanted to send more infoarmtion on the problem.  One of the files is a .txt file.    The other was a mdmp thread and the other was a .xml file.  The .txt file is copied below.

Can someone help me solve this problem!

  • How do resolve you this error message that keep popping up - "Adobe Flash Player Update Service 11.3 r300 has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player and reinstalled and still receive the message.  Any suggestions?

In the forum of Support Adobe their Chris Campbell has announced that they are aware of the problem and are working on it.  As an interim solution, he suggests to change the automatic update to "notify me" when updates are available.  Go to the control panel.  Right-click on the Flash drive.  Click Open.  Click the Advanced tab.  Select the second option "notify me".  I made this change in a few hours and so far no errors arise.  Since they are working on it, I guess that they will release an update to fix the update service!

  • Why do I get the message that Flash player is in use and cannot be installed even though I uninstalled it?

Using Windows7, trying to install Flash Player version 17.0.0.134

I have download the installation program, specifically on the site for Firefox and uninstall the previous version, and yet I get this message.

Have tried several times to update and now to install new and these are impossible. I don't have the previous version, which did not work on

    Hi Norman,

    lease try the following:

    1. Download uninstaller uninstall Flash Player | Windows
    2. Download the installer of Flash Player for Firefox, posted at the bottom of the problems Installation | Flash Player | Windows page in the ' always having problems.
    3. Launch the uninstaller
      • This will remove all versions of Flash Player installed on the system except the control ActiveX for Internet Explorer
    4. Restart your system
    5. Install Flash Player using the installation program downloaded in step 2
    6. Once the installation is complete, launch Firefox, go to The Flash Player Help and click on the "Check now" button
    7. Results should indicate that you have the latest version, 17.0.0.134, installed.
