Hello

I use Adobe Reader IX with Windows 10.

I was able to open the files yesterday, today cannot.

No message, file does not open.

Help.

I have already tried to re - install and I was told that I already have an updated version.

Hi rrharrod,

Please uninstall Adobe Reader XI & install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Acrobat Reader DC Learn & support.  Then try to open the file.

Let me know how it goes.

Do you have a PDF Reader installed?

    Adobe Reader
    http://get.Adobe.com/reader/

    Foxit Reader

Adobe is more "well known", but Foxit is much lighter and my personal preference.

  • I can't open any PDF files or Adobe Reader XI.

When I tried to open the program to the drive, it just opened a gray page and then closed by itself.  I am on Windows 7 and already ran TDSSKiller to check rootkit infection.  He said, 'no threat found.'  I tried to uninstall and reinstall the player program, but it does not always work.  I used to be able to run previous Reader version.  What should I do now?  Thank you!

You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].

Another thing to try is Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement.

I can't open any PDF file with reader XI. I tried a repair and re install and nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions

    A few things to try...

    • Upgrade to Reader 11.0.5

    • You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
    • If Reader opens in itself, try to disable the Safe_mode in the registry; Download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
    • It might even be a malware problem; See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

    Hi Judy, Letchworth,

Please visit the below mentioned link and try the troubleshooting steps:

Unable to open Adobe Acrobat or Reader PDF

If this is not enough, then run the cleanup tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to uninstall the reader completely.

Then, restart your computer and install the latest version that is single CD from here:

  • When opening a PDF file, a new tab will open, but it will be empty, it do not download or open any pdf file, it just started the last 3 days...!

    Hello
I'm about to remove Firefox from my computer because he lost hours of my time, and none of the online troubleshooting answers are no help.

Until recently, I was able to open PDF files in my browser window, and today its impossible to open any pdf file, it will not download if I choose to download it.

This issue is ongoing, and shut down for almost a year and I downloaded the Nitro PDF module to solve previously as Adobe reader add-on did nothing. Today in the menu options of applications where I can choose the program I want to open PDF files with I can't find the option NitroPDF reader, so I chose the add-on Adobe and no matter how many restarts it refuses to open all PDFs, all I get is a new tab open and empty.

Internet Explore opens PDFs very well, so I know it's not computer associate.

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate, Firefox Version 19.0.

If there is a way to fix this, please help because I am currently at the end of my patience.

    Kind regards

    Emre

19 FF has its own Viewer for pdf files. It doesn't seem to work properly. The screens are either poor quality or empty. Printing using the bad characters and spacing of bad character. Some impressions of color and others are not.

Thankfully, it is easy to revert to using some other pdf viewer, such as Foxit. Go to Tools / Options / Applications and scroll down to "Portable Document Formay (PDF)", and change it to your preferred pdf viewer.
     Your problem is solved!

  • I got rid of the Vista Security virus, now I can't open any .exe file and DOS commands do not the case.

I used a program to blow this stupid fake virus Vista Security that's happened here. Subsequently, I can't open any .exe files. If I open a file saved in this format (for example, a Microsoft Word file recorded) will be open, but not all of the original programs themselves. I can't do a system restore because it's a .exe. The DOS commands, including the .com-style those don't work either! Help please!

    Hello

    Method 1:

I suggest you follow the steps in the article below and check if it helps.

When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, you can try the upgrade on the spot and check if it helps:

    Hi koolcam,

PDF files are opened with an application called Adobe Reader. You have installed on your PC? If not, then download it for free from this link:http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

  • I can longer open attached pdf files. I am able to preview the files, but they are too small for me to read.

    * Original title: attachments

    Help, please.

    I did something wrong (AGAIN!)

I had no problem with access to attachments to my e-mails, but a problem occurred just.

I can longer open attached pdf files.  I am able to preview the files, but they are too small for me to read.  When I click to open all the I get now is a kind of icon (in Microsoft Office Picture Manager) with which I can't do anything.

It seems I should have arranged for Picture Manager automatically opens attachments to emails, but when this happens, I'm stuck as what I try, I can't do pdf files appear as they did.

The help file does not really help.

I hope it is something simple, even an old fool like me can do with your expert (and, I hope. friendly) help.

    My fingers are crossed.

My apologies if I offended Protocol - this is my first venture.regards

PS My usual guru (aka grandson James) has acquired his first girlfriend, is not so disinclined to waste time me tutoring on the PC

    Create a file association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: (Whatever you have installed a PDF reader).
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    7. click on OK.

This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.
