Aironet 1300 series as a wireless client?

Hello.

I would like to install a device on a yacht so that when the yacht in a Marina, it can connect to the wifi of the marina and then make this connection available for the network of yacht. I'm looking for a cisco device that will be similar to the Smartbridge Nexus (http://www.smartbridges.com/products/accesspoints.asp), who did the job properly in the past.

I was thinking about using an external unit of series 1300, does anyone know if I can use it in the way I plan, or if there is an alternative.

Thank you very much

Neil

Still not sure, you can buy 350 bridges more?

You need to do to buy an AP and put bridge workgroup mode. The AP connects to the network like any normal client WLAN, there you go!

Whether or not the marina use thin or thick APs has nothing to do with it - just connect with a GTC and off you go.

  • Wireless Client Hardware/Software Configuration required

We are building a new 3500 Series LWAP complete wireless network.  With this new wireless network, my boss asks me to provide minimum specifications of hardware and software for all new wireless clients purchased.  I know the stuff of basic 802.11n dual band, etc...  I was wondering if anyone had a good list of detailed requirements that would give me a better case for my clients connect wirelessly on the new network that he would share with me.

    Thanks for any help

In a nutshell, I need to make sure that wireless clients we for our new network provider can take full advantage of our wireless network.  I want to assure you that I am educated on more details and more basic requirements of 802.11n dual band specification.  There must be more detailed technical requiremetns, I need to know so I can be sure that I don't end up with a bunch of work half puff of wireless clients.

You can take a look at the tested assurewave Cisco customers and applications for different vertical markets:

Level of compliance CCX will also be a good orientation to see if customers will work well with the features of cisco wireless.

  • Only the needs of the Cisco Aironet 1550 series a WLC?

    Thank you

    It can work stand-alone image:

check the release notes of the code controller that you have and you should be able to identify what is supported and what is not supported.

  • HP g7: update of motherboard on the g7-1300 series for a g7-2000 series

    Hello

New to the forum, search on this but has not found the answer I was looking for.

    I have a g7-1300, series updated since B960 cpu to an i5 - 2410 m.

Now, instead of buying a new laptop, I can get a motherboard the g7-2000 used for a small price (which has HM76 chipset so I can put end 3rd generation intel core CPU, has a better discrete gpu, support of usb 3.0 etc..)

I was check part numbers, specifications and images online and it seems to be that slight differences between 1300 series motherboard and a series of 2000, so I ask here, someone do such a thing? Replacing the motherboard with a series of 2000? Was this a correct adjustment? Everything worked fine?

Yes, I checked the compatibility of the chipset (since my i5 - 2410 m is HM65 and 2000 motherboard is HM76 HM76 in fact supports 2nd gen iCore)-it is even mentioned in this manual of g7-2000 equipment.

The display of connection and other cables will fit exactly? By comparing images and specifications in the manual of my motherboard and the 2000 one, I noticed that the hard drive light is on the right side in 2000 model, but I don't really care about that, I don't even bother with it. Sinks heat appear to be same too, so I can always get a used cheap for the corret later model.  And even if there is a port which may not fit in my case, I'll just cut out the frame, I don't like. What I care is physical connections.

Specifically, I would replace my current 650199-001 to a 680569-001.

Also, Yes, I'm really pushing it with this but I can not afford a new laptop and cannot have a fixed pc because I keep moving. And I love playing with my laptop I am doing this because I can get the motherboard for really cheap.

    Thanks for any help!

It does not appear as if it will fit. Look at the pictures of these two systemboards, and you will see that the boards mounting holes are not the same. This would also likely that external ports probably don't line up precisely enough to adapt to the back part of the base of the laptop case.

  • Wireless clients cannot connect to the wired client

So, I have a server connected to the router via Ethernet, a laptop computer connected by WiFi and desktop also connected via Ethernet. The laptop used to connect to the server, but all of a sudden it no longer, and yet the Office can always connect to the server.

I have encountered this problem before and disable SIP ALG solved the problem, SIP ALG is always off and wireless isolation is disabled for all my wireless networks, in fact before the occurrence of the issue, no changes to the router configuration. I have also excluded the firewall of the server causing problems as the issue continues to perform with her at sea, even with the laptop because it is the same with any wireless client.

I use the version of the firmware V1.0.0.90_1.0.90, my server is running CentOS 7 and my laptop and desktop running Windows 10 Pro.

For anyone else having this problem: I solved by powercycling (power off, wait 10 seconds and turn back on) the router.

6520 printer Photosmart HP e-all-in-one series, Windows 10, wireless, is suddenly in offline mode, how do I get it online?  One minute, I have the impression and the next it is disconnected.  I printed both the printer status report and test results of wireless network who say everything is good and passes.  I downloaded "HP Print and Scan Doctor" from the HP website.  He said: ' comprehensive software product is not installed on this computer. " In order to use all features of your product, you must install the full software solution.  To download and install the complete solution, click on the button 'Install software' (recommended)'. The first time I hit install there was a mistake, I was frustrated.  Then I saw that I could run again and this time it worked, or so I thought.  He only printed a test photo! If after all that that my printer is still shows as "OFFLINE" when I try to print my laptop.  In the printers menu, he says he is now "Web-enabled" and gives me his own e-mail address...  So after 2 days of verification of Web sites to find answers, now I can not connect my laptop to my wireless printer more?  I need to print from anywhere in the world, I need to print from my home to my printer, wireless...  UGH!  Someone please help me, tell me it's something simple I'm missing just...

    Hello

For simplicity, just use the port that works,

HP ePrint lets you print from oveseas to your printer via the email address of the printer.

  • WAP300N: Wireless clients are isolated from my local network?

WAP300N is an AP, but how can we separate wireless clients who come from the WAP300 on my local network? o option NAT or IP isolation?

This access point is not an isolation wireless feature. Even if that were the case it would only isolate wireless devices connected to each other not the LAN.

It's something that your router will have to manage. There are several ways to do this for an example of insulation VLAN or subnet isolation.

  • What is the unit of wireless client lease?

    Hi all:

I that would like to set up the wireless client lease time. 0 means a day.

I want to set for 5 days.

    What is the unit for?

    Best regards

    Chen min

    1. you cannot change the term of the lease for the wireless clients only. It's for all DHCP clients, whether wired or wireless.

    2. what router?

    3. it is said:

Client lease time: minutes (0 means a day)

The unit is "minutes". He's not say this on your router?

  • Wireless clients cannot 'see' the P1102w printer

I have a printer HP LaserJet P1102w of professional set up and connected to the router wireless BT Voyager 2500V. If other computers are connected by a wire to the router, they can print and they can reach the printer over the network (tested using the ping command).

However, if they are connected to the router as a wireless clients, they cannot find the printer in the network. If I use the ping command to test the connection, then the command indicates that the destination is unreachable. They can 'see' and connect to each other, but the printer seems inaccessible.

    Any suggestions? Thank you.

Wireless clients have network cads Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (802.11n), the computer operating system is Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit). Firewall is turned off. Encryption WPA - PSK with TKIP data encriptación is used. MAC filtering is disabled.

You have access to the configuration of the router?  Check if "AP Isolation" is enabled.   It is a feature of the router that isolates wired to the wireless clients.

Of course, there is no point because your problem is the reverse, however, it may be interesting to play with.  Let's start there.
