Can't see profile in "users."

Hello

I have two different profiles on my computer, and I want to access my main one secondary school, so I don't have to copy all my documents and music all over again. In the "Users" folder, I see three folders, one called 'Public', one called 'Laura' (my second profile) and a third called "AppData". I don't see my main profile here in, even though I have several shared folders on this profile. They are also not in my section "network". How can I get my main profile in this section "users"?

Thank you

Chris

You probably have the hidden system files. However, you don't want to handle this the way you go in any case about it. Copy of account (probably) Chris, what you want to share in the Public directory. Connect now to Laura and you will have access to these files. That is what concerns the Public directory. • How can I see who the user did what?

    Hello world

can someone tell me in what newspapers I see which user did what? If there is a possibility on vSphere client/webclient would be interesting also...

I want to see for example who cloned or change the hardware on a virtual computer.

We use 5.1 with vSphere Center essentials ESXi.

Our Active Directory is connected to VMware and each user uses its AD account.

    Best regards

    Marc

There are a few places you can check... you can see the tab tasks and events for the guest himself.  You can extend the recent events and tasks by changing the settings of the customer in the vSphere Client. In addition, you can check the prompt vmware.log files and, finally, vCenter logs.

  • Can not see my own account after reboot

After reboot I can only see the original user on my Mac + comments, but not the one I added.

The original is my wife so if it connects inn, first of all, I'm able to move my user by logging out (users obtained all visible) or by selecting my self in the menu to the left of the projector users.

Upgrade to 10.11.4 to see if there was a problem with 10.11.3 who was present when the account is added.

It's annoying to sort of not finding your own account and I wonder what's wrong.

    Anyone with an idea?

    Hello dusanofrode,

Thank you for contributing to the communities of Apple Support.

If you cannot connect to the original account on your MacBook Pro, looks that FileVault has been activated. It encrypts the bootable floppy and requires that the original to "unlock" before user other users can subscribe in their user accounts. I can see how that might be irritating in the circumstances, and I have a few suggestions to check the situation and helps connect you to your account a little more quickly.

To see if FileVault is turned on, connect to the user account of your wife and choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click on Privacy & Security, and then click FileVault. You can find more information about FileVault in Use FileVault to encrypt on your Mac startup disk.

If FileVault is turned on, you have two possibilities to be able to connect to your user account to start.

    • "Activate" your user account to connect to start up the Mac. You can do it in the preferences of FileVault (located under Security and confidentiality in system preferences):

    Allow users

Click to enable users to log on at startup and unlock the encrypted information on the Mac. Users who are not enabled need an administrator to log on before you can use the Mac.

Of OS X El Capitan: FileVault pane of security & privacy preferences

    • Turn off FileVault:

When you turn off FileVault, the encryption is disabled and the contents of your Mac is decrypted. Decryption may take some time, depending on the amount of stored information. However, you can still use your Mac to perform other tasks while the information is that is decrypted.

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click on Privacy & Security, and then click FileVault.

    2. Click on the lock icon to unlock, then enter an administrator name and password.

    3. Click on turn off FileVault.

    4. Click on disable encryption.

Of OS X El Capitan: turn off FileVault encryption

    All the best.

  • Profile of user not loaded correctly, you have been connected with a temporary profile. How can I fix it?

I use a Toshiba Satellite with windows vista. My father gave it to me, but instead of creating a new user account, I have renamed the original administrator account. two years later, I have 3 accounts on the laptop, which only the original is still the sole Director and has access to all partitions on the hard drive as well.

A week ago, my computer laptop power had reported issues so I immediately sent for repair. I came home today and the Standard 2 user accounts work perfectly. However when I connect to my original administrator account I get this pop - up message:

"The user profile was not loaded correctly. You have been logged on with a temporary profile. Changes to this profile will be lost when you log out. Check the log of the events for more information or contact your administrator "

I lost all my profile settings, including internet bookmarks, music playlists, etc. The office looks like a brand new installation of Vista and all the customization disappeared. I can't afford to lose all data. It is seriously important and was on my desk and in my documents.

How can I get my profile without losing any data?

    Hi Salman91,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Windows Vista Community.   New profile created, try browsing to the old profile (C:\users\username).  You should see all the old user data.  If this does not work, try to copy the files in Safe Mode.

Please let us know if that helps.

It's for Windows 7, but Vista is very similar.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

You can try to fix it with Safe Mode - repeatedly press F8 as you bootup. The ADMIN account in trunk
Mode has no default password (unless someone has changed the password so it should be available).

Some programs such as the updated Google (if you added the toolbar Google, Chrome or Google Earth)
