  The question you should ask is why you have Flash installed. You don't need Flash. If you have not installed Flash, videos will play in HTML5. If the video requires Flash, you can use Google Chrome to play.

  UPDATE: I went back to this file to download some time later, clicked on it, and installed without error. I must have initially tried to install before the download was complete.

  It seems that it is the Setup online program that crashes.  I will convey that to the people who run this type of Setup.  In the meantime, please download the Offline Installer.  It is displayed at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page, in the ' still having the problem section.

  I have a new MacBook Pro and I followed these instructions, downlonading and install the new version of the Flash plugin. But when I looked in "/ Library/Internet Plugins" there is no folder called "disabled Plugins".

  However, I've seen two versions of Flash:

  _Flash Player.plugin with the old date

  Flash Player.plugin with today's date

  I deleted _Flash Player.plugin and this corrected the problem.

  It's been over two months since I posted a question on this forum and I still cannot download upgrade Flash Player 10.1.102.64 on 11. ?. I have an Intel Core II Duo running Mac OS 10.6.8 (64-bit). None of the suggestions worked, although most of the recommendations I get are for Windows opperating systems. I tried to uninstall PS months ago, but given that some of the programs I need and that you use regularly do not work without a version of PS I am not prepared to do it again.

  It would be nice if someone could help me because a number of things using the most recent version is not put at my disposal. Am I the only one having this problem?

  I sent you another link to Setup by a PM.  Just as I understand it, the problem you are having is that you are unable to download the DMG Flash file on your computer, correct?

  FYI I have Flash CS6 v.12.0.2.529 installed on this computer, I removed the Flash Player in the folder.

  According to the instructions, I set the preferences of Adobe to allow Adobe install updates and closed Firefox (and closed all programs) to uninstall and install.

  It worked! I had done everything before that and had just abandoned. Thank you!
