Cancelled the Format disk removable F & G?

I have a Sansa E280 8GIG and decided to format in MSC mode using my laptop which is running a Vista operating system. I had planned to format it and add the music once it has completed. During formatting, I touched somehow Cancel in the middle of the process. I disconnected and then reconnected my Sansa hoping to resume the process of formatting, but no luck. Now, when I go to 'My Computer', it appears as 'Removable disk F', 'Removable disk G', when I try to format it says "there is no disc in f drive. All of my songs and videos are deleted (I know that the formatting would do this) the only thing that works is the FM radio. I need major help. How did appear as a "removable drive F & G" instead of "Sansa e280" as it should. P.S. - It won't let me install the firmware and I tried the 'trick' where u turn on the Hold button "" and press the Record button, didn't work. Answer as soon as possible! I need my music to my work day.

If this is a v2 model, try the format menu option in the settings menu.  If it is a v1 model, try recovery mode again.

Instructions for the recovery mode.

  • cancel the reformat

I accidentally reformatted my hard drive old brothers while on an external usb cable adapter. I had installed a new hard drive and windows 7 and was about to move through information. Hi Bryangarnerpbi,

After formatting the hard drive, you can cancel the format or recover data under Windows.

However, you can try to search the Internet using your favorite for some recovery software search engine and try to recover the data.

  • The virtual disk is either corrupt or not a format supported.

We have a 2008 R2 SP1 VM Datacenter we cannot snapshot.

A manual snapshot of in the Client vSphere indicates the following in the tasks and events:

The virtual disk is either corrupt or not a format supported.

Our NetBackup software is automatic snapshots for VM backups and generates these three errors in the tasks and events:

    Cannot run a snapshot operation

    Operation timed out

A general error occurred: VMX protocol error.

The virtual machine has two virtual disks:

    [vmds-standard: (1) default] outhostname/ourhostname - 000001.vmdk

    [vmds-standard: (1) default] outhostname/outhostname_1 - 000001.vmdk

Virtual disk files seem to be the usual file names. Instead, they resemble snapshot files or something similar.

I don't know what is happening. Can anyone help?

The file names are correct, since there is an active snapshot on the virtual computer. I found a few entries in the log file that we/you can see:

    08:01:25.543 Mar 23: vmx | DICT scsi0:2.deviceType = scsi-disk hard
    08:01:25.543 Mar 23: vmx | DICT scsi0:3.deviceType = scsi-disk hard

There are some entries of old/orphaned for already deleted virtual disks! However, it should ask the question.

21:13:06.212 25 March: vmx | In SUMMARY: SnapshotBranch failed: changes, followed by target file already exists (5).

That's what I think is related to the question. For me, it looks like a problem once with block change tracking, which may have left orphans. What I would do, is first of all to delete all the .ctk files in the folder of the virtual machine on the data store (they will be recreated, only the next incremental/differential backup will take more time). If this is not enough, you can try to disable - at least temporarily - CBT for the virtual machine or remove the virtual machine to inventory, delete the .ctk files and then add it to the inventory...

  • How do I change or remove the password disk HARD on my Tecra A9

    Hi all

I looked for where I could, but didn't find any indication at all, so I'm asking here.

I have a Tecra A9 in need of resettlement, what I like to do for me.
I have a very good password on the HARD disk which I do not wish to give. So I want to change it or remove it completely.

Please someone, how do I do? In the BIOS, I don't see that it has been defined, but all what I try, I can not change or get rid of it.

Maybe I should add that since the original installation of the PC it was years ago and I don't remember not the 'Administrator' password.

Everything is under control. I know the 'controller' password and have already successfully removed the BIOS password. Smart TPM is disabled.

BUT what the disk hard drive password?
    Any help much appreciated!

  • remove the formatting of a document pages

I'm importing text (copy / paste) into a new document in Pages. There are commands of paragraph at the end of each line, visible by clicking Show invisible characters on the view tab. When I try to format the text, I get weird results as simple words on a line. If I remove the descendant 'P' at the end of each line manually, which solves the problem; everything is as it should be. I tried to use 'Find and replace' but it doesn't work because it removes all invisible characters so that you get a long sentence without a space between the words. I tried to use TextEdit to remove formatting controls unwanted, as found in another link, but that doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions on how to do to remove all "P"? I have a document of 50 pages to reformat, so doing this manually is nuts.

    HI Dwight,.

When you copy text from? I guess that returns were inserted by an application of text at some point editor in the process. If you copy a text editor, you can find an arrangement that will toggle between having and not having returns at the end of each line. If so, set it to "off" before the selection and copy.

Is it possible to distinguish these additional returns of those legitimate by looking at the characters that immediately precede and follow?

Back at the end of a paragraph should immediately follow a sign of punctuation; period, question mark, or exclamation point and should be immediately followed by the first character of the next paragraph.

End of line returns should not follow one of these brands, except when this brand (and the space after it) come too close to the maximum line length to fit the word following on the same line.

If you're lucky, and the record was produced by someone not wise to (or not to trust of) the ability of the software to add a space after a point, you can see that two consecutive returns have been used (as I have in this post) to create this space.

End of line returns should not follow one of these brands, except when this brand (and the space after it) come too close to the maximum line length to fit the word following on the same line.

Knowledge of these patterns can give you a method three passes for the removal of these statements of additional income by using find/replace.

On the first pass, MARK returns you want to keep.

-If double returns have been used, use two returns as your search string and two markers as the same string replacement. The markers must be a pair of characters that do not appear or do not appear in pairs, in the document. ' # ' comes to mind.

-If you need to rely on punctuation, you will need to make a separate pass mark for each sign of punctuation that was used at the end of a paragraph. For each, the Find string will be markreturn and the brand of string replace. #

This first pass will replace all the feedback that you want to keep with "#" (preceded in the second method of punctuation that should also be kept).

On the second pass, remove all the statements that have been left in the document. Find the string: return the replacement string: a single space.

NOTE: This assumes that the end of the return line has replaced the space that normally elapses between the words, at this stage. If you have determined that there is a return of end of line AND a space between the word at the end of a line and beginning of the next line, leave the box replace empty.

CAREFUL directions: understand the space, then see the fourth passage below.

On the third pass, reinsert the required return. Search: # replace: return

Note that if your first pass sought and kept a sign of punctuation, you do NOT want to restore it - there was kept in the first pass.

Fourth optional phase: one of the things I've taught students when we started using processing in elementary school was never press the space bar twice in a row. You need a space between the words, no space between a Word and punctuation after the word and a space between the mark end of a sentence and the first word of the following sentence in the same paragraph. This pass of find/replace removes extra spaces using find: replace two spaces: a space.

Repeat this step as many times as necessary (until find/replace reports "none found" or a similar message).

    Kind regards

    Barry

PS: This method can probably also be written in an AppleScript, who would have shot on the necessary measures and simplify everything.

Remove temporary files from the local disk c/documents and settings/user/localsettings/temp name

By definition, this folder should contain only the elements you don't need.  If I understand correctly, this temporary folder is a place where temporary files are stored during program facilities and the facilities.  However, I have seen references other sites to help saying some programs can store folders and files.

I do my own temporary file elsewhere, name it accordingly and move all the files in the temp folder to the new folder. Use your computer normally for a while, and if nothing complains about missing files, you have a good indication that none of the moved files are important and should be safe to delete.

    Hello

You tell us what partition you get low disk space message.

If the partition is installed on your operating system, follow these steps:

This free program allows you to see what is taking place.

    http://www.Jam-software.com/treesize_free/

By default system restore also includes 15% of the capacity of your hard drive.

You can change the size of it:

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/76227-system-restore-disk-space.html

You can clean your hard drive using these two methods.

    "Delete files using Disk Cleanup"

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup

    Using the free CCleaner program:

    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner

In NO case use the registry cleaning Option in CCleaner

Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

And Norton Backup, if you are using Norton, can do strange things with filling of hard drive space.
