  • BACK-flashable BIOS for Sony Vaio VPCEB2AFD (PCG - 71311L) and Miss firmware 0.0.0.0

I have a laptop Sony PCG - 71311L (VPCEB2AFD) died, it stops a few seconds after the start because of some missing BIOS files I think. I wonder if there is a site where I can download a BIOS that I can Flash BACK. Those appearing on the Sony website , I hear cannot be flashed BACK, I tried, and of course, I get an error. Another thing; my BIOS reports the following:

    BIOS version: R0300Y8
    THIS Version: K0300Y8
    ME Version: 0.0.0.0

Can ME lack firmware be the culprit? In the few seconds after posting before his stop, I get this error: "ME Firmware Update Failed. Please try again. "If there is something that someone here can suggest that I try, I'll be happy to hear it. Thank you.

PS: a few months ago my laptop fan started to spin so fast and the laptopwould autoshut himself down. I checked the Sony Web site and found the new BIOS (R0300Y8) who promised to "regulation by better fan", that I installed it according to the instructions in the link. but after installing my laptop started to close less than a minute after I turned it on.

  • Cannot access BIOS for Compaq CQ35

    Hello

    I have a Compaq Presario CQ35-213TX.

The original with Windows 7 hard disk crashed and I managed to change and installed Win8.

However, I can't access the BIOS.

The BIOS resides in a hidden partition on the hard drive of origin who had disappeared after I change it?

Hope you can teach me how to restore the BIOS.

    Thank you.

    Derrick

    Hi Derrick,

    Try the following.

Turn off the laptop by holding the SHIFT key and clicking on stop - this will temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

When the laptop has stopped, press next to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to launch the Start Menu, and then select the Bios Menu ( f10 ).

  • Help me. I need win7 32-bit driver for sony vaio VPCEB3QFX/Wi

I can't find win7 ultimate 32-bit driver for sony vaio help .please VPCEB3QFX/Wi me thank you very much...

VPCEB3QFX/WI is supported by Sony for the operating system, that he's come up with, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, there is no driver for Win 7 32 bit on the support site. You can certainly try the 64-bit driver packages because many of them will be for 32 and 64 bit:

  • Cannot restore Note anytime for Sony Vaio

I got the Sony Vaio Duo 11 (SVD11215CDB) with 8 Windows Home edition from a sony store. It was a demonstration unit, so he came already configured as to be ready for use. She had installed the edition notes any time Sony Vaio (as announced on page 11 of the Duo). I was able to use the buttons for the stylus - a single button would choose the other, it would be possible to erase.
Because it was a demo unit, I decided to do a factory reset and start again. After using the partition dedicated to restore the 8 I also put a Windows 8 Pro serial number key to upgrade the machine for the edition of Windows Pro.
It restored very well, all applications including Vaio Care, clip etc - except Note Anytime Vaio edition - Activ seemed ok thinkng I get it from store windows.
I could find the free version of Note at any time on the store of windows, but the stylus buttons are not active. I can only pan with the smaller of the two buttons, forget selection or clear features.
I spoke with one of the technicians of live chat for Sony and he suggested to update software Activ Clip (he gave a link for this) but it does not magically installed the Note at any time for Vaio computers.
What did wrong, how can I re - install this software?
Is it because I installed the free version of Note at any time that I don't have the Vaio edition? Could it happen because I hit my Windows 8 Pro Home edition?
It is worth noting that the Vaio windows Store applications search returns nothing.
All the ideas are really appreciated, thanks in advance!

  • Re: Software for Sony Vaio

My father recently gave me his Sony Vaio VGC-LS25E and I am running WIndows 7 32 bit. I get an error message on my display driver.

"NVIDIA Compatible Windows Vista Kernel Mode Driver display driver, Version 167.43 not responding and has successfully recovered."

The computer crashes before I get this screen, it happens a few times a day and seems to get more long term.

    Help?

If you continue to have graphics drivers for your One VGC-LS25E desktop computer errors, all try first reinstall the graphics driver so you can get on the desktop.

If you can't, try to run the [F8] safe mode at startup.
If it loads properly use msconfig and disable the start-up services and non-Microsoft and restart normally, and then install the driver.

If you are unable to enter Safemode try our hidden partition. Press [F10] to the POSITION immediately after the logo of VAIO appears. Once, it says to change the options to start just press on enter, if it loads you can reinstall the video driver from there.

If she gives you access to the rescue partition and you have exhausted all other measures, data rescue are there to help you back up your important files. Perform a C drive recovery to wipe the system back to the original factory specifications.

  • Cannot access BIOS after own Win 7 installed on the new HD

The machine is HP Elite E9240F. Here's what I did.

1 replace the plant HD with faster player - went well

    2. clean install Win 7 on new drive - activate - went well

3 reinstall the disc supplied with the box in the first place & format - went well.

Now everything starts fine, and loads of Windows. NO problem BUT I cannot access the BIOS more. Not that I need at this time, but I would like to know that where I did it, I could.

Repeated F1 or F11 at startup pressure will produce the black screen for the Windows Boot Manager.

I removed the CMOS battery and retried - same results. I can access the blue screen when I select the boot sequence by pressing ESC but never can I go back in the system BIOS.

    Thoughts?

All these systems are a bit different but F10 to enter the bios to me.  If it is your PC then F10 to enter the bios: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01925486
