Hello

1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

I suggest you try the steps from the link below that would help you to install the driver for the webcam.

For your reference:
If the device is not recognized, try to run a Microsoft Fix it that diagnoses and automatically repairs problems with hardware devices not detected or not working on your computer. To do this, go to hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows on the site of Microsoft Web and then click Run now.

  • Integrated motion Eye webcam does not work after installation of own Windows 7 64 - bit (Sony VAIO VGN-AR770)

Hi, I'm having so much worse for my webcam to work again after a clean installed Windows 7 64-bit (I used to run 32-bit vista). I searched the net and found many many people with the same problem but no solution yet that works for me. My last attempt:

I manually installed these drivers recommended on this forum: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-hardware-devices/1135698.htm

With the help of the method 'have disk '. Installation seemed to happen, but no program does not recognize my webcam. Skype, for example, seems to work, but the video is just black.

In Device Manager > features the webcam is listed as "RY5U870/VGA-CAM F01_UVC of Imaging.
"and noted that"this device works fine."" Many people have suggested to try to download the originals and installation using Vista compatibility, but I can't get these drivers to 64-bit, and when I download the 32-bit drivers, unfortunately they do not work.

I understand that I hit a wall here on my laptop model Sony support (now obsolete), but I feel that there must be a work around that people found out there somewhere. Can someone help me get my webcam goes again?

  • driver motion eye Sony vaio pcg-6wjp

Hello, someone can help me with my problem. I have a sony vaio laptop model pcg-6wjp, who came from Korea and delivered with the Korean version of windows vista. I've upgraded to a new hard drive because the previous hard drive was malfunctioning.now the problem is that I have the original recovery disk delivered on this laptop and im a windows vista 32 bit installed. can someone help me with the built in camera as is the only device works is not on my laptop. I already searched sony support site, but I can't find any driver and im having problem when I use msn messenger coz I can't open my webcam.

thnx a lot for the help in advance...

I'm sorry, but there is a problem, you deal with Sony (or with the manufacturer of the Webcam if it is different).  It is they who will have the appropriate device drivers.  Don't just look for the site, talk with someone who can help (even if only by CAT - but preferably by phone unless there is a cost to thishttp://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=CONTACT).  When you talk with them, ask for a supervisor immediately and explain the problem.  The manufacturer, brand, model and serial number of your computer AND your Webcam very convenient in case they need.  I too looked for your model and could not find.  In fact, when I checked Sony Global, Korea was not yet listed: so you have to work your way somehow to get to a live person without a model that they recognize.

If this does not work, give me the information I asked you to have available for them and I'll see if I can find a Microsoft driver (but I doubt it).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

BIOS updates: you should check to see if there was one, or sometimes several updates BIOS for the motherboard. Read (if provided) which solves the update. Sometimes a newer BIOS update will fix the problem. Read the instructions on how to your BIOS update/flash very carefully and be more you understand the process. There is a risk of a bad flash/update occurs which can make your system unbootable.

  • VAIO Motion Eye Camera stop working

    Laptop: VGN-SR190E
Problem: USB Motion Eye Camera stop working
    OS: Vista Edition Home Premium

The Sony Visual Communication Camera died in this laptop. I want to talk about the "Motion Eye" webcam above the screen.

In the Arcsoft window, frame (window of the camera) went black, screen resolution went to 176 x 144 (QCIF), whatever that means.
In addition, no image using Windows Live Messenger.

Worked very well (image capture), then quit. Removed and reinstalled the drivers. No help. In the properties of the device, he says: "this device works correctly. Well maybe, but no picture.

What else can I do to fix this?

I can't stand Vista another day. I ordered Windows 7. I hope that its an improvement. Could install Windows 7 remedy? I guess I'll find out.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Phil

    Update: not working yet.

Error message in Arcsoft WebCam Companion:
'Webcam not found or does not work properly. Please click the Connect button and try again.

    Previous post:
No help from this Forum, but I got the Motion Eye Cam working again. He would sometimes work for a minute or two and then quit. I thought it would be connected USB so I downloaded the registry USB patch (and a whole bunch of other updates and more) and installed it. After the patch USB Webcam has started working again. I don't know if it was the fix, but its working now. The Vaio "Updater" program did not work (it should be updated as well) so I had no idea there were so much software upgrades available for this laptop. I highly suggest that you check the Sony Web site for downloads (if you did not) available for your computer. Good luck.

    3. If an error code has been generated, the code appears in the status area of the device under the general tab

    3. click on the driver tab and then click on put the driver update and follow the instructions.
