Cannot change to Classic view

I tried to change my mind from Windows 7 to Windows classic according to this site: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Change-Windows-to-Classic-view

When I get to this part: click the Start Menu tab, click the start menu classic and then click OK

There is no classic Start Menu option

RE: Start menu seems to have changed to Classic view

Right click on the Start button > properties > click Start tab Menu > click on the dot to Start Menu > you should see a blue dot on the front now. Yes?
    Click OK when finished.

    RE: possible virus attack.

I think that your Norton had done his job.
But, if you want additional coverage, suggest you download and install malwarebytes.

    http://en.kioskea.NET/Download/Download-105-Malwarebytes-anti-malware

Once installed, open malwarebytes > it will prompt you to update. Click Yes and let it update. If it's not hum update you, click Update and make an update > click Scan > click perform complete scan > it will take a while > it will give you a report summary at the end.

  • Cannot change the timeline view Speedgrade CC!

I want to zoom in on the timeline to see my videos better.  I can't find a tool for this.  Help Adobe says: 'Select the master Timeline view in the view menu on the upper left side of the Timeline.' and then use a combination of wheel/ctrl to zoom.  Fine, except that the button I need to click (which is labeled "All") is either a or disable toggle.  The illustration accompanying on the help page shows it as a drop-down selector.

Set the timeline view with the menu on the upper left side of the Timeline.

    Timeline view menu

I don't have the combo on my version of Speedgrade CC.  I can either 'select all' (which highlights this blue) or clear (which he becomes gray).

    Does anyone have a solution?

Deselect the button 'all '. Move your cursor on the timeline and everything by pressing the 'Alt', scrolling with the mouse to zoom in and out of the timeline.

  • Control Panel in Classic view

How can I keep the control panel in the classic in Winodws Vista Ultimate display after I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled everything? He worked prior to cleaning, but do not now.

Thank you. You put me on the right path. Here is the step by step instructions on how I made the change.

Right click on start > properties > Start Menu tab (make sure that you have it on the Start Menu under the Start Menu tab and not the Classic Start Menu) > customize, then put a check mark in the display menu in Control Panel.
This of course now has you in the Vista Start Menu, which I don't like. Although it is in the Vista Start Menu, go to control panel and make sure that it is in or change it by clicking on classic view on the left side of the screen to Classic view. Create a shortcut on your desktop for control panel that you have now changed to Classic view
Change the Start Menu back to Classic view by clicking on Start > properties > Classic view > apply > OK.
You can now drag the icon of the control panel from your desktop in Menu quick start at the bottom left of the screen or use your desktop and whenever you click on the Control Panel icon, it will come in Classic view.
Thank you once again. This can be useful for others who are facing the same problem.

  • In windows media player, cannot change the album art view in the list of music icon.

    * - Original title - in windows media player, I can not change the album art view in the list of music icon...

I recently deleted a lot of my music library, the Media Player (not while in the music folder in my library, but all using the MP). but now, in the classic view (and when I click on an album cover to view follow-up for an artist or album), it will only allow me see the tracks/albums with expanded tile or Details views we don't let me use the display of the icon; Indeed, this listening option is grayed out. I don't know what I did, but before that I deleted the music I could see the icon display in the library. Can I fix somehow?

Here's how I put it in an e-mail to a friend, maybe the problem is clearer in this way:

Very well - so the other night, I did a purge in my music folder, deleting a lot of tracks how much I did not listen. I was doing this WMP. Now, the default view in my WMP since always the view icon, with the great icons of the album covers next to the track. (large, compared to other views) But now, I can't get that discover more, not when I'm looking for the titles of music st - only when I look by Album, artist, Genre or year. In the opinion of music suddenly the only options I been authorized were expanded tile and details - icon option is grayed out and the purge he was not! I looked in the WMP folder in Program Files and there was a folder called icons; It was empty. I had never watched there before; so I don't know if this is normal or not. How can I fix it? I remove and reinstall WMP?

Had the same problem and you probably already figured out the answer, but it's here... Media Player 12.

HERE a THE FIX... go to the top near the top of the media player window and directly to the left of the search bar in the media player is a drop down for the choice of the view menu. It is somehow changed to "Détails" view in the mine... CHANGE "Expanded Tile" view and your icon appears again in the Middle as I had initially.  ;)

FWIW I currently have started 8 is installed on my laptop HP G60 - 447CL no touchscreen but disabled it all simply because I came to use and really like the new modern UI (aka metro) window.

  • Why cannot change a model mode live view?

As soon as I create a model, I find that I can not change it in live mode view, even if Ive defined editable regions?

As far as I KNOW, you cannot change the Template.dwt files in Live View mode.

They are editable Code view or Design.

This is the main reason (legacy) fluid grid layouts are impossible to work with.

There is no design view available unless trick you DW into thinking that they are regular layouts by adding an X in your CSS file.

  • Cannot change system settings in Vista

My Vista machine is in a strange state where I can't seem to change all the settings. For example:

Opening Control Panel and clicking on "Classic view;" changes the display but the next time I open the Panel it's return to the standard mode
Opening of "Folder Options" and selecting "Show hidden files and folders" having no effect. next time I open the Folder Options, it's back to the 'hide hidden folders ".
    * Every time I open IE, I get the dialog box "IE is not your default browser." I select 'Make IE my default browser' but that selection, never 'stick.' I am warned again the next time I open IE. Ditto for the client to Outlook e-mail and by default

Also and apparently my Start menu not displayed any programs recently used or pinned items.

I did a system restore to a point at which everything worked - didn't help, so it doesn't seem to be a registry setting that does this.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I suggest you run a full scan of viruses and malware.

    Also a scanner of SFC.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click on launch, and then type cmd in the box to start the search .
    2. Right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator.
    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue
    4. At prompt command, the following line, and then press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

      I hope this helps.
      Peace be upon U.
  • How can I get rid of multiples (same thing listed 3 to 4 times) in my control panel "Classic view."

When I go into my control panel "Classic view" things appear too often, just after, below, on the other (and I can not delete additional ones)

Examples: "Accessibility Options" is listed FOUR times in a row.

"Add Hardware" is mentioned THREE times

Then "Add or Remove Programs" is listed TWICE

Oddly, the following list is "Administrative Tools" and it appears only ONCE! (As it should be)

The following list is "Automatic updates" and it is listed SIX times!

Curiously once again, the following inscription "Data Sources" is only registered correctly, ONCE (as it should)

Return to chaos, the following inscription "Date and time" appears FOUR TIMES

And these strange, random, multiple registrations continue at the bottom of list 'Classic view' on my control panel.

    What should do?

    Hi Saratonin,

-Did you of recent changes made to your computer before this problem?

-Have you run an anti-virus program to check if it helps fix the problem? If not, run the same and check if it helps fix the problem.

I would also recommend to start safe mode and check if the same behavior is noticed there too.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

See this link for more information about starting in safe mode:

When I then click on the "Advanced" tab, image duration shows only 5 seconds with the transition period only 1.25 seconds, which is the default setting and that is also what I want. However, when I play my project in Movie Maker, it accelerates through each clip. I also noticed that when I press the title of 'Clip' in my headings at the top left and then click on 'Properties', the duration of each clip shows that only 00:02 seconds. Which is why my speed clips too quickly.

I would have thought that setting my time of duration in the Tools section would then set in the Clips section, but this is obniously does not. I don't understand why everyone would show differently and wonder if you can help me to slow down the speed that my movie is playing.

The change of setting to: Tools / Options /.
Advanced... tab applies only to the added clips
to the timeline * after * you change the setting.

If you switch to view "Storyboard" and select
all of the clips as a batch (select one and the type...
CTRL + A)... you can add the 'Speed Up, Double.
or "Slow down, half" effect of changing the

the effect on the menu... Choose...
    Add to storyboard table.

'Speed Up, Double' cuts the duration of half.
