Cannot connect to content content/URL/default

About once a month, I get a PopUp stating the following:

Printer software update available

Because HP values your privacy, we would like to ask permission to connect to the Internet for this quick update.

It then lists a privacy notice and then asks if I want to continue.

When I click on 'YES', after a few seconds, I get the following message:

Cannot connect to content content/URL/default.

I have two printers connected to my desktop of Windows 8

(1) photosmart C7180 is network connected

(2) photosmart 5510 connected to the wireless network

I do not know which printer the PopUp's from East does not identify a printer.

This has happened for the last 3 or 4 months.

Does anyone have an idea what to do with this error

Welcome to the HP Forum.

You can control the schedule on these applications update - even turn off checks altogether.

Once your stable printing software / installed, you don't need raises unless you like around.

Pop-up messages - HP updates

The software is from one of the few locations of remote server - the errror is probably a mistake to match missed server.  If the error condition is traceable to your side, the evidence may be in your Event Viewer logs.

You have the option of checking / downloading the software to print manually at any time.

    I understand that you have an Officejet 4500, which attempted to run an update recently, but failed. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm absolutely going to do my best to help you!

    Generally, the hpqusgh is related to the program HP Customer Participation, which can be removed from your computer and affect all the features of the printer itself. As @lions99 said in his post, he would have just remove the section HP Customer Participation program programs and features or add/remove programs (depending on the version of Windows you have).

  • Adobe Content Viewer cannot connect to iPad only

    I finally thought to it. I connected to the DPS on the desk and received a confirmation email. Then, when I went back to the iPad, the connection worked. Thanks for getting back to me.

    On a model MC540LL/A iPod running iOS 6.1.6 I get this alert:

    iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod "IPod of Carl Carlson". Go to the summary in the iPod preferences tab and click on restore to restore the iPod to factory settings.

    There is no summary tab or the restoration.

  • Cannot display the content

    I just got my wireless key, trying to make it work with my iphone 6 and the last ios. WiFi connection works good and the firmware is updated to the latest. However, the application cannot display the content on the stick. It seems that the application cannot access the memory at all. Whenever I try to create a new folder, it appears "invalid file name". And while I'm trying to backup contacts, he says: not enough memory on the stick. I tried to access it from the Web page on my computer, and it says not installed memory card. At the same time, access to USB works.

    You have 2 drives to 32 GB. You didn't happen to format discs exFAT file system do you have? 16 and 32 GB models do support FAT32.

    If you have not formatted the disk to the file system on the disk may be corrupted. Connect to a computer and see if you can access the drives it. If not try formatting the drives and see if that allows them to access. You will need to use the FAT32 file system.

  • Cannot read the contents of the phone

    My husband iPhone 6 has attracted 13 GB of data.  I use my phone more it does and I only use 6. Something has been bad for months, we have both called Verizon and nothing has helped. I'm trying to upgrade his phone now and iTunes tell if cannot read the content and I need to reset the phone.  I don't want to do it in case it is not completely saved.

    He was frustrated with his phone for months, may not have music on it, full, etc...

    I saw a solution in a similar thread, but did not want to download a 3rd party app to try to fix it.  Waiting for people to apple to help me understand this. Thank you!

    If you're still using OS X 10.5.8. That being the issue. iOS 9 requires 12.3.x and this is the notability on OS X 10.5.8.

  • I iput a dvd rw drive in my computer, formatted and cannot locate the contents of the dvd anywhere on the computer and the drive seems to have been deleted.

    I put a dvd rw drive in my computer to play music from the disk, formatted and cannot find the content of the dvd anywhere on the computer.  I accidentally delete the dvd?  When put the DVD back in my camcorder it's empty!

    A DVD RW Formatting erases it.

    I develop a Facebook app and would like to be able to view the content of the iframe (my app) FB through edge inspect. When I inspect the code on my iPad, I'm able to do all the way up to the iframe cannot see its contents. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

    Yes. Facebook is load our app from another area in the iframe. I could find a way around the problem of the iframe displaying our app directly in a browser without all the dressings of the Facebook page. I wanted to just make sure I was not doing anything wrong.

    I am get InDesign CS6-oriented and I try to use it for the production of digital publishing. I downloaded the Patch Adobe as well as CCA App Builder and Folio edition producer tools for CS 5.5 but I'm not having any luck get Adobe Content Viewer to launch. I get the message "Cannot find Adobe Content Viewer" when I try to get a glimpse. It is a Cloud Creative CS6 version — which would have nothing to do with this issue? How can I make it work?

    You got the C00D1198 error message when you use Windows Media Player. The following information can help you resolve the problem.

    Unable to connect to the server

    Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server that hosts the content you want to listen to. You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    • The name of the server that hosts the content is not valid. If you typed an address Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in the open URL dialog box, verify that the file name is spelled correctly and that the path to the file is correct, and then try again. If you clicked a link on a Web page, the link isn't valid.

    • The server is not available (for example, the server is busy or not online). Try again later.

    • For Windows Media Player proxy server settings are not configured correctly. Verify that your proxy server settings are correct.

      To check your proxy server settings

      1. Click the arrow below the now playing tab, and then click More Options.

      2. Click the network tab.

      3. Check your settings in the Streaming proxy settings area.

        • If you don't know what your proxy server settings should be, on the network tab, select a Protocol, click on configure, then select Autodetect proxy settings or use the the proxy settings of the browser (available for HTTP protocol only).

    You may have installed one or more variants of the malware "VSearch' ad-injection. Please back up all data, and then take the steps below to disable it.

    Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

    Malware is constantly evolving to work around defenses against it. This procedure works now, I know. It will not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a couple of days or more after it was published should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.

    Step 1

    VSearch malware tries to hide by varying names of the files it installs. It regenerates itself also if you try to remove it when it is run. To remove it, you must first start in safe mode temporarily disable the malware.

    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for other instructions.

    Step 2

    When running in safe mode, load the web page and then triple - click on the line below to select. Copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

    /Library/LaunchDaemons

    In the Finder, select

    Go ▹ go to the folder...

    from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

    A folder named "LaunchDaemons" can open. If this is the case, press the combination of keys command-2 to select the display of the list, if it is not already selected.

    There should be a column in the update Finder window. Click this title two times to sort the content by date with the most recent at the top. Please don't skip this step. Files that belong to an instance of VSearch will have the same date of change for a few minutes, then they will be grouped together when you sort the folder this way, which makes them easy to identify.

    Step 3

    In the LaunchDaemons folder, there may be one or more files with the name of this form:

    com Apple.something.plist

    When something is a random string, without the letters, different in each case.

    Note that the name consists of four words separated by dots. Typical examples are:

    com Apple.builins.plist

    com Apple.cereng.plist

    com Apple.nysgar.plist

    There may be one or more items with a name of the form:

    com.something.plist

    Yet once something is a random string, without meaning - not necessarily the same as that which appears in one of the other file names.

    These names consist of three words separated by dots. Typical examples are:

    com.semifasciaUpd.plist

    com.ubuiling.plist

    Sometimes there are items (usually not more than one) with the name of this form:

    com.something .net - preferences.plist

    This name consists of four words (the third hyphen) separated by periods. Typical example:

    com.jangly .net - preferences.plist

    Drag all items in the basket. You may be prompted for administrator login password.

    Restart the computer and empty the trash.

    Examples of legitimate files located in the same folder:

    com.apple.FinalCutServer.fcsvr_ldsd.plist

    com Apple.Installer.osmessagetracing.plist

    com Apple.Qmaster.qmasterd.plist

    com Apple.aelwriter.plist

    com Apple.SERVERD.plist

    com Tether.plist

    The first three are clearly not VSearch files because the names do not match the above models. The last three are not easy to distinguish by the name alone, but the modification date will be earlier than the date at which VSearch has been installed, perhaps several years. None of these files will be present in most installations of Mac OS X.

    Do not delete the folder 'LaunchDaemons' or anything else inside, unless you know you have another type of unwanted software and more VSearch. The file is a normal part of Mac OS X. The "demon" refers to a program that starts automatically. This is not inherently bad, but the mechanism is sometimes exploited by hackers for malicious software.

    If you are not sure whether a file is part of the malware, order the contents of the folder by date modified I wrote in step 2, no name. Malicious files will be grouped together. There could be more than one such group, if you attacked more than once. A file dated far in the past is not part of the malware. A folder in date dated Middle an obviously malicious cluster is almost certainly too malicious.

    If the files come back after you remove the, they are replaced by others with similar names, then either you didn't start in safe mode or you do not have all the. Return to step 1 and try again.

    Step 4

    Reset the home page in each of your browsers, if it has been modified. In Safari, first load the desired home page, then select

    ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ General

    and click on

    Set on the current Page

    If you use Firefox or Chrome web browser, remove the extensions or add-ons that you don't know that you need. When in doubt, remove all of them.

    The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you reinstall it never. A few small files will be left behind, but they have no effect, and trying to find all them is more trouble that it's worth.

    Step 5

    The malware lets the web proxy discovery in the network settings. If you know that the setting was already enabled for a reason, skip this step. Otherwise, you should undo the change.

    Open the network pane in system preferences. If there is a padlock icon in the lower left corner of the window, click it and authenticate to unlock the settings. Click the Advanced button, and then select Proxies in the sheet that drops down. Uncheck that Auto Discovery Proxy if it is checked. Click OK, and then apply.

    Step 6

    This step is optional. Open the users and groups in the system preferences and click on the lock icon to unlock the settings. In the list of users, there may be some with random names that have been added by the malware. You can remove these users. If you are not sure whether a user is legitimate, do not delete it.

  • Aspire E 15 cannot connect to wifi

    My laptop suddenly cannot connect to WiFi (error "Unable to connect to this network").  I run the Acer care center, and it says that my system is up to date (including drivers).  I used the health check to identify the problem, but "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem.

    The wireless network card is Qualcomm Aheros QCA9377. I went to http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers and there are 3 Atheros drivers listed.  I don't know if I should install a new driver and install since there are 3 of your choice.
