"Cannot find Adobe Content Viewer" CS6

Hello

I am get InDesign CS6-oriented and I try to use it for the production of digital publishing. I downloaded the Patch Adobe as well as CCA App Builder and Folio edition producer tools for CS 5.5 but I'm not having any luck get Adobe Content Viewer to launch. I get the message "Cannot find Adobe Content Viewer" when I try to get a glimpse. It is a Cloud Creative CS6 version — which would have nothing to do with this issue? How can I make it work?

Thank you

Jenny Lee

  • Could not find Adobe Content Viewer

I have to start Adobe Content Viewer manually to get a glimpse of my problem on my Mac.

However, after a upodate is on my application portfolio more. I used to find it there.

Can someone tell me where to download the Adobe Content Viewer for desktop PC?

    Jeroen

OK, listen carefully to that I'm not going to say this once.  Download Folio tools (and extract).  I then copied the file extracted in my Adobe file (but I don't think that this was necessary).  The set up, then go into the payloads folder, then file AdobeContentViewer.mul with AdobeAirInstaller (which could be already installed), and then set up file AdobeContentViewer , and as magical everthing should work fine.  And if you read this and it solved your problem you prefer to write a solution to a future problem in some forum somewhere (for Karma and everything).

  • Cannot test folio PDF Desktop Adobe Content Viewer

    Hi all

I get an error when I'm testing my folio PDF format on my desktop Adobe Content Viewer.

I get the error in Dutch (my language), but it translated: "this folio contains one or more fireplaces that are not yet supported for the viewer of content for the office. PDF batteries are only supported in iOS-viewers. »

This happens when I click on 'Preview' in the folio Builder. I work on a Macbook with Mac OS X Lion.

Help would be appreciated since I can't find anything about with PDF format folio on the internet!

    Thank you.

Well known limit and that is exactly what it says it is.

You cannot use the Office Viewer to check PDF folios.

  • Adobe Content Viewer cannot connect to iPad only

    Hello

We did a folio and shared with a client via digitalpublishing.acrobat.com.

The client creates an Adobe ID, received an email from adobe and clicked the link to check the validity of the e-mail address.

He has agreed to the terms on the Adobe site.

On an iPad, it cannot connect to the Adobe Content Viewer.

But... it works very well on an Android tablet.

I asked the customer to go to digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and accept the terms, but it still does not work.

How can I solve this problem?

Adobe Content Viewer is our showcase for potential new customers that we are able to do. If I can't show... I can't get new customers.

    TIA.

I finally thought to it. I connected to the DPS on the desk and received a confirmation email. Then, when I went back to the iPad, the connection worked. Thanks for getting back to me.

  • Adobe Content Viewer installed not on V28

Today, I've updated my CC and CS6 versions of InDesign, so I now have tools V28 of DPS, however there is no content available for my Mac (Running) SX 10.8.5). Viewer application

When I try to get a glimpse on the desktop via the Folio Builder Panel, an error indicating that the content viewer Adobe could not be found appears.

All Adobe Support documents go through the process to find the file AdobeContentViewer.air in the folder/Library/Application Support / Adobe / installers / AdobeDigitalPublishingCS6 / ContentViewer, but I did only three files in this folder:

    1. Adobe AIR Installer.app
    2. Install Adobe Content Viewer.app
    3. Install the DPS App Builder.app

So, I can't double-click on it to reinstall it.

My Air is up to date, my updates are all so far and I can't find how to uninstall InDesign (I am a cloud creative subsriber).

I used my backup Time Machine to move the point was get it up, but it would not install when I double-click on the old version (I was getting desperate!)

However I can listen to samples of the same Folio on my iPad connected, running the latest version of the Adobe Content Viewer application

After a live chat, then more than two hours for some technical support UK on my land line and a little more than an hour on my cell phone, more a call Skype around the United States 800 number to be informed of the most wait an hour here and discover UK support is only during office hours and after nearly two hours , he has spent 17:30, I had to abandon the official technical support from Adobe and use more searching on the Adobe forums, but have found nothing to CC or CS6 which I have not already tried, with the exception of unistalling and reinstalling InDesign. But I can't find how to do this via Creative Cloud. At a given time, that I had to tell a member of staff of beautiful Indian 'technical support' not to get back into the same loop that I had been twice until I was close to tears. He sympathized, but said that it was not his area of expertise - surprise, surprise... Not a good day.

Pleeeese, is anyone else having this problem, or if someone else has solved this problem?

    Thank you in anticipation

Thanks Neil, who worked once I had installed directly in the Applications folder, not in a subfolder.

So if anyone has this problem, install the Desktop app CC Viewer and he works for CS6 and CC.

NOTE, you must double-click the file Install Adobe Content Viewer.app , do not have a file called install Adobe Content Viewer.air in accordance with the instructions, as they are obsolete.

Phew, I finally got all my DPS back features and have created an app V27 using V28.

  • Private distribution app: dev version / testflight / adobe content viewer / b2b distribution

    Hello Adobe Community!

I'm is developing an application for my company which is supposed to be distributed only at our distributors. Apple rejected my request to the company since our distributors are not our employees. I wanted to summarize my distribution options now and you ask for feedback. I do not plan to use the App Store.

    1 B2B distribution by apple

I can broadcast custom b2b app by Apple, but it is available only in a few European countries, and this does not meet our needs, because we are unable to provide to all distributors. Also, the process seems very complicated, and I would not use it.

    2. distribution of content adobe Viewer

If I tell my clients to download Adobe Content Viewer and connect with my Adobe ID, the latest version of folios is automatically downloaded to their fate?

Also on the Adobe website, it is stated that my folios to be uploaded automatically to the Adobe servers - but they are not. From what I read on the forums I realized that it is only available for subscribers of creative cloud, is it good? If I sign up I'll be able to use this way for as many users I want?

    3. developer version

Finally, I know that I can broadcast the dev version. I'll have to save devices UDIDs but they expire (after what time?) and how UDIDs can I register (I have read in various places that I have testers of 50 or 100).

    4 TestFlight

What I undestood is so far that facilitates the distribution of version developeloper, but I would not be able to use this tool for everyone UDIDs expiration?

    Thank you very much!

With the company DPS and Apple company account, you can build and deploy a signed application enterprised internally within your organization. Create the application, deploy and host internally, so that anyone with access to the link can download the application. Not sure if the terms of Apple allows your distributors from outside your organization to access and download the application hosted internally within your organization, to check this with Apple.

Terms if Apple does not allow, you can use the method of distribution of DPS limited to deploy the application on the Appstore, but allow a person access to content unless they are authenticated through the app, called direct payment or a restricted distribution. Click here for more details: using a distribution restricted with Digital Publishing Suite

Registration to LCA does not automatically download the last folio. Your folios are always uploaded to the Adobe servers, you cannot host somewhre else. Anyone can create, download folios and see the folio in the Adobe Content Viewer. But the folio can be attributed to an editing application requires a subscription DPS.

You can save up to 100 s UDID on the Apple dev portal. I do not think that the UDID expires as long as your Apple Dev account is active, but the certificate expires one year exactly to the day, it was generated.

There is no obvious path to the Adobe Content Viewer library, either?

Completely. I work cross-platform all the time using a dropbox folder for

    my files.

Make sure that you use the OpenType fonts to avoid problems there.

  • Folio not listed is not in the Adobe Content Viewer on a few iPads

I worked on the development of an iPad app in InDesign CS6 using Adobe DPS. In most cases, the process has been working smoothly until recently. Once connected to Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad third generation, folio fine watch and downloads as expected. However, when others with iPads older download Content Viewer and connect, they do not see the folio in option. For example, a person with a second generation iPad, which has the latest iOS, could not see the folio in the Viewer. I stripped the app by the way 40megs, size of thought could be a problem, but after several users have identical results experience, I don't think that's it. Someone had a similar problem, and what I can do on my end to make the application compatible with a wide range of iPads?

What is the size of the folio? If it's 2048 x 1536, it will be displayed on the iPad HD but not the iPads of 1024 x 768. If it's a folio of 1024 x 768, it should appear on all iPads.

You can try manually install the Adobe Content Viewer by going to

I'm unable to connect to Adobe Content Viewer to watch some InDesign templates. What should I use for my username? I tried my Adobe ID and also my name of the account holder. Not good. Whenever it comes up with 'authentication failed.

Adobe Content Viewer is for the former work of Digital Publishing Suite.

  • Folio will not complete download to Adobe Content Viewer on iPad

I work in InDesign 2014.2 Windows and using the most recent version of the viewer Adobe Content (as of 24/11/15) on the iPad. He sees the folio (unpublished) that I created and some items are appearing. But other items will not complete the download process. They say just 'pending' or 'preparation '. They never get beyond, even after 24 hours. I tried to restart, signing in and out of InDesign and Content Viewer with no luck. I am able to view the full folio in the viewer of content on my desktop and my colleagues are able to download the full folio on their iPads without problem. How can I fix?

I deleted the Adobe Content Viewer app from the iPad and reinstalled. He is currently working.
