Cannot create a recovery on my Satellite S50T-B008 media

I have just bought a laptop by Satellite S50T-B008 and recovery media creator, when I click on create it tells me to insert a greater than 11.8 GB USB flash drive. I have a 32GB Flash DRIVE installed.

I click OK and then another box comes up saying the same thing. I keep going round in circles and I can't create the recovery media. I tried with other USB flash drives and different USB ports on the laptop and get always the same.

Any ideas?

On my two machines I used ve 16GB USB stick from two various manufacturers and all went well.
I recommend you to use the USB 16 GB also. Try restarting your machine (full stop) and test again.
You can also try to format the USB key before starting the creation of recovery media

This problem occurs if the Toshiba Recovery creator tool cannot find the recovery image on the HARD drive. There are several reasons for this. Recovery image can be removed, deleted or structure of disk partitions HARD maybe changed. Just with the original settings and their State of origin HDD it will work.

Unfortunately now you will be able to create a recovery media or the installation of HARD drive recovery.
What you can do is a new and original for your model of laptop recovery DVDs and it is possible on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • Cannot create a recovery for my Satellite A300-1BZ CD

I tried to use the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator repeatedly and with many different brands of discs to create the recovery disk.
However each time as the laptop is about to finish burning the disc, there is an error and the operation not can be completed.

I don't think there is a problem with the drive as I have used for many other things including watching movies without problem.
Could Toshiba please send me a recovery disk instead?
    Thank you

    > Could Toshiba please send me a recovery disk instead?
A mail recovery disk? Very interesting. Mailed 4 GB image is not so easy.

I don't know what you're doing, but if you want good tip then use Verbatim or TDK DVD-R blank media. For the DVD-R.
I have too many Satellite A300 and recovery DVD, I created successfully.
Do you use DVD-R virgins too?

  • Satellite S50t-B008 / 00 H never worked properly - warranty issue

I m writing that, until that time, my last chance to get some help, cause everyone else rolled up useless.
I used to be a big fan of Toshiba, because I always thought that your products were first class and has never let me down.
    SO FAR.

11/15/14, I bought the D. Smith in Warringah Mall, a Satellite S50t-B008/00 H. I m, a graphic designer and I use it for work, that s how I make my living, so I decided to go with this model which was supposed to be a big piece of machinery.

After a month, he began to have problems such as the touch screen wouldn t work, she wouldn t start and it turned off by itself. This lasted several days until I decided to take it to D.Smith (31/12014) for a replacement (since I spent 1,100 AUD and any computer with just a month should do any of the things).

Of course they gave me bad excuse because we are resellers, we sell only the computer, Toshiba should take care of any problem with no intention of helping, and they just gave me a number to call.

I was a little upset at the time, but I still called the Hotline from the Toshiba Support, were a tough guy told me made me do a reset of the parameters, this work of t n and then said the only thing they could do (after two hours on the phone) to guide me through the steps on how to format it.

It didn't work either, so I called again, with the reference number, the guy gave me (I have it here if you need it).

Another guy, at least this one was a little more friendly, told me that the only thing I could do was to take the computer to a Toshiba official s technician to fix.

I asked him if he could give me just a replacement to D. Smith and he said no. (so, until one - and this time, I had spent $1,100 on a computer I have couldn t use, I was losing money and work, and nobody could help me).

01/08/15 I got the official technician computer and I was just able to pick up on Saturday (24/01/2015 a month after I started with it) and guess what, even after that, it is STILL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.

What am I supposed to do?
I still 1,100 AUD less in my bank account and a NEW computer that I had to format and replace various parts, for nothing, cause I still can't use it.

As a consumer and a Toshiba s fan in my opinion, this is a HUGE SCAM and I feel CHEATED (not to mention mad freaking).

Just to be clear, I n t want this computer no more and, of course, I don't want any other Toshiba, cause they can really down and same person takes the trouble to give me a solution...

Meanwhile, I was faced with a lot of trouble since I can t work without computer (and I don t want to even talk about how much money I'm losing)

I tried to contact someone by phone, facebook, twiter, then you have probably heard this before, can you please help me with this problem?

I need to work, and I need a computer to do.

    Please, give me a solution!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi cossoria

    Sorry to hear that.

It s really damage your new bought laptop is not working properly and I understand you very well its always annoying when the departure of the newly purchased device malfunction

    I guess you're the Australia.

I m not quite sure as the Australia, but in my country the consumer can return the product without assuming all responsibilities and without any reason within 14 days from the date of purchase.

The dealer is obliged to ensure the good work produced, and if the dealer is not able to provide a good working device, you should be able to return the product within the time limit.

Toshiba as a laptop to the manufacturer provides a standard 1 year limited warranty and if Notepad starts a dysfunction within the valid warranty period, the Toshiba authorized service provider would be able to repair the laptop under warranty conditions, free of charge.

What shall I say This is a user to user forum and I would recommend you to get in touch with the dealer of your laptop, as well as with Toshiba in order to clarify the issue

  • Satellite U840T - cannot create USB recovery media

Can someone advise please - I have a new U840T Satellite with SDDS and try to create a recovery media using a USB key.

The Toshiba 'Recovery Media Creator' inviotes I plug a USB key at least 10.4 G. So, I inserted a new USB 16G. The app clearly did not see this, even if it is recognized by the PC itself, no problem.

When I press 'create' to load the stick, the app just says: "the process of creation for all media was cancelled" is not only wrong spelling, but completely useless.

I do something wrong, ir is just a very poor app?

    Thank you very much...

    Hello

Format you the USB drive before you start the Toshiba recovery media creator tool?
Please format the USB key, then run the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.

I´d would like to know how can I create a recovery disc.
I cannot do it because the software image is not found in HDD Recovery folder using the TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator application. Is there another way?

N ° there is no other way. Have you removed the HDD Recovery folder?
If so, this is a big mistake. I just hope that you have read the reminder on creating recovery DVDs.

  • Cannot create a recovery image

    Hello

I just bought a HP Pavilion x 2, it has a 64 GB SSD.  I want to create a recovery image using the HP utility but when I try, it fails. I think it is because there is not enough space on the Windows partition to create the image.  I have a USB drive connected with 27 GB of free but looks like it will create the image on the C drive, before you copy it to the USB drive. I don't want to remove my recovery partition until I know that I have another copy and I can't find anything else to uninstall to get the 14 GB I need (have 12 GB free). I have only had the tablet a few days so did not have much here, have uninstalled everything I put here except for the updates of Windows that I did. I erased the wimy file temp user profile.

Does anyone have ideas, what I can do?

    Thank you

    Juliet

  • Failed to create the recovery on my Satellite A300-29N using Sony DVD disc

    Hello

Tried to do the recovery disk for Toshiba A300-29N using Sony DVD new, always make a mistake. Toshiba service center confirmed that Sony DVD is not compatible with this DVD player.

I do not use a Sony DVD but TDK or Verbatim DVD-R support. Whenever I used it I was able to create a recovery media. No problem at all.
I recommend you do the same thing. Believe me, it will not work correctly.

  • Cannot create a recovery key USB media

Tried to create a recovery without success media. Many people here advocate the use of flash drives, but it does not come without its problems. I had a problem with a swipe of the sandisk Cruiser 32 gb... the manual says not to use the flash drive, if it is compatible with windows 8.1 which is not.

Yet it still hovers zip nothing and I formatted and tried to fat 32 and ntfs.

So what USB flash drives are really compatible? seems to be the next logical question.

Or what I can try without having to spend more money on players flash compaible.

    Appreciated

It seems the SanDisk Cruzer Glide you try to use may be compatible with Windows 8 and therefore may not work. Please try another USB stick 32 GB drive which is known to not be compatible with Windows 8.

  • Satellite Pro A300-28V - cannot create own recovery disks

Have a portable Satellite Pro A300-28V with Vista Business 32. After a HARD disk recovery partition recovery, I decided to use the PC function full system backup to make a picture for later retrieval with all my current settings. Too inconvenient for factory reset default (Thunderbird 3.0 Mail, Open Office and some other small applications already running no problem for years on another computer in the office).

The system needs 5 to 9 DVD and he wrote the first DVD. Takes about 30 minutes. Then, during the audit of this disc, it crashes. Audit bar stops at about 30% complete.
Anyone with this experience? No, the company "Complete PC Image" works well on an OEM of Vista installation?
Or maybe it's the DVD player in need of an update? I do not use a 3rd party burning software.

    Hello

What program you use to create your own recovery discs? For example, I mean Acronis, Norton Ghost, etc..

In your case I would try with another program like Nero or CD Burner XP burning.
In addition, you can try to remove upper and lower filters in the Windows registry, maybe that will work.

Finally, and especially on the Toshiba site, you can check if there is an update to the firmware of your CD/DVD drive.

  • Cannot use the recovery with my Satellite A100 disc

I have the Satellite Pro A100 Series, when I boot it up it tells me "Windows could not starte because the following file is missing or corrupt" \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
I tried to restart with the recovery disk in and you press F12 for the boot menu, select CD/DVD and nothing happens.

Any help or ideas would be great.

    Nothing happens?
If I understand you well you are not able to boot from the disk? Have you tried another disc? I mean it might be that the recovery disk is noisy or something else.

  • Cannot create Backup factory or Rescue Disk on USB media

For my new laptop Dell Inspiron 15 with WIndows 8, I am creating a backup of the plant (~ 30 GB I would guess based on how many C:\ is used) on my 110 GB Western Digital USB external hard drive, and I am trying to create a rescue disk (~ 13 GB) on 16 GB PNY USB Flash Drive, but I can't do any task.

In the backup of Dell and the restoration, with my 110GB USB drive connected, I clicked on the recovery media, which shows the factory backup / recovery media screen.  I put the radio to a USB Flash drive instead of disks (disks = DVD).  You press to continue.    There is a clock spinning (similar to the familiar hourglass), but it runs just forever.  Most of the time, the clock turns just forever, but 1 time I saw instead an error like "no USB key found.

In the Dell backup and restore with my 16GB USB drive connected, I clicked on the rescue floppy, which shows the screen create a rescue disk.  Under drive contents, I checked the support of recovery, but no backup system.  Almost immediately, I see the error "no drive detected".

Interestingly, I am able to create the rescue disk my 110 GB disk, but it is a waste of space since only 13 GB is necessary, if I want to use the 110 GB drive instead to save the factory.

Yet, both the 110 GB of disk drive 16 GB are detected in Windows Explorer as a drive letter, and I can create a text file on them very well, so that Windows detects them.  To make sure that the drivers were updated, I clicked computer in Windows Explorer and chose to manage.  In the Device Manager. Disk drives, both drives are listed.  For each, I click right and select Update driver software. Search automatically, but the result was "best driver for your device is already installed."

I know that I can use DVD instead of USB media, but I'd rather have all the data in 1 place (well, 2: 1 for the backup of the plant and 1 for the rescue disk); In addition, using several DVD will be a lot of time and seems more risky for me.

    Help, please!  Thank you.

When I experienced this with a new 660 s Inspiron, I discovered I had reach the point where software began looking for the USB memory key until I inserted into the USB port.  But there is an additional condition, and it is that your memory stick should not have been inserted in the port at any time until you tried to use it to build all of the recovery.  I went through this as much as you did, first plug the USB into the computer, the implementation of the software and leaving far the beat of clock time that the software looked for the key memory.  No go.  I went back to start, started the backup software, waited for the prompt for a path to the memory stick, plugged the key and still no go.  Finally, returned at the beginning, reached the line and chose another USB port to the memory key.  Who allowed the application for relief as the computer should install the key in the new port to find the key.

All this is very frustrating, and I sympathize completely.  Good luck to you!

  • Satellite S50t - B008 a hinge broke

I wonder what to do - I regularly use this laptop and now a hinge broke. It has not yet been completely, but I'm afraid that it will be soon. It is still covered by the warranty? I didn't fall or something, it just happened one day a few weeks ago. How can I solve this problem? My laptop is still under warranty.

Same problem here, the right hinge is broken. He broke some time ago, but now it is getting worse. I guess because it is a matter of construction, I see a lot of people have the same problem (under warranty) and Toshiba does not.
