  • disable the button in the current state

    Hello world

I am new to catalyst, so my question may seem stupid probably ;-)

I build a small site in PS CS4 one try to bring it to live in the catalyst. My problem is the folloing:

How can I disable a button in the selected state?

I can configure the appearance when it is disabled, but cannot find an option to disable the button.

«for example, when I clicked 'links' - button, it must be disabled (and watch in a special way) until I choose another State and leave the links ' States '.»

    Thank you

    Hey dm.

Without seeing the layout of the fxp/how the custom button is configured, it is sometimes difficult to provide the right steps!

Hopefull this post will clarify a bit my last.

Regarding the change of the State of the button when you go to the States, it is indeed easier by checking a box in the properties panel.

    (1) navigate to the State in which you would like the button disabled (or enabled).

    (2) in the properties panel, in the common section, see the box "enabled."

    (3) check it so that a button is enabled (in the normal state) in that State. Clear the checkbox to make this option disabled in this State.

To make sure you have the right look, double click on the button.  You should now see four different States, which is a disabled"" State.

Check to make sure that the button looks like as you wish in the disabled state.

Using this strategy, navigate to a State and by setting the property enabled in the properties panel, you reach the look you're looking for?

I'm always kind of unclear on the button click/No seeing the disabled look?

Perhaps what you are looking for, is to add an interaction to the button, such as "click", in order to move from one State in particular, to another second particular State?  In which case, in the second State the button is disabled?

If you could clarify that would be awesome?

Or, if you feel you could post/send me your fxp so I can measure the best approach.

Let me know how it works for you, and if the enabled checkbox is indeed what you are looking for.

  • HP EliteBook 8560p: can not turn on WiFi: the button is orange, and nothing happens when you press

    Hello

I have a problem with my wifi. The button always orange and nothing happens when I press on it: no errors, no message, no reaction at all. This is why I can't use WiFi.

The laptop is a little new: I use only 2 months.

    1. number and product name

    HP EliteBook 8560p
    НР LQ589AW

2 operating system installed (if applicable)

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    3. error message (if any)

    No error message

    4. all changes made to your system until the problem occurred

My windows crashed and I got it from archive created a few days ago. Archive includes all data from hard drives, the system has been restored exactly as it was before the accident. I still don't know if this caused the problem (or if the problem occurred after that): it happened a month ago, and I had no WiFi available at the time and only tried to turn it on a few days ago.

    Additional details:

In device manager wireless card is appearing as functioning normally. In the management of the adapter Wi - Fi is on but says "no connection available. If I run diagnostic tests, he asks me to activate WIFI with a button on my laptop, which I can't do. In Mobility Center, it says "connection Wi - Fi is turned off". Activate the button is gray and impossible to click on.

    I already tried things:

    1. Reinstalled all the HP drivers from original CD.
    2. Card WiFi removed in the windows Device Manager (remove device), restarted windows, installed new drivers for it, rebooted again;
    3. Checked the mobility Center as suggested in one of the threads available on this forum;
    4. Do a hard reset for HP laptop (battery removed, push the button and hold for a minute).

    Thanks for any help!

    Anatoliy.

I managed to solve the problem...

Turns out that the problem was (apparently) caused by HP Power Assistant tool shipped with my laptop. Default profile has been showing the gray bluetooth and WiFi, and it was not possible to turn them on. I created a new profile, and even if all the parameters are identical to the default profile, it allows me to turn the BT and WiFi and turn off without any problems. Button is working fine now as well and goes from blue to orange when I press it. Active WiFi and it works.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

Step 1: Search for the issue in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. click Startand then click run.

    b. type msconfigand click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    c. click on the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    d. When you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Step 2: Try System Restore and verify.

  • By selecting the part of a picture in paint

When I open a picture in Paint in Windows 7, there is a small white square "handles", bottom, right and the lower right corner. I can use these to crop the picture from the bottom and right sides, but there is no squares at the top and to the left for some reason any. Why are these squares on the top and left sides? What is the point of them only being down and to the right? If photos open in paint with these grips on all sides and corners, it would make cropping extremely simple, since you have not all first select an area, you just move the margins to where you want the border of the picture to be.

So if I want to crop from the top or left, I opened the with the rectangular selection tool select and draw a rectangle around the area I want to keep. This works very well for simple cropping where the location of the agricultural frontier of dotted line is not critical. The defined area that results from cutting is described with a line dotted with the same white square "handles" on the sides and the corners, but this time, they are on all sides and corners, as it should. The problem is, once you release the button of the mouse and the harvest dotted area is defined, you can not adjust the crop box by entering one of the white squares and dragging the dotted line without DISTORTING the content within the cropped area. Why would you do THAT? I thought that these handles were there, so you can just move the initial harvest defined by the tool border select.

Does anyone know how to accurately adjust the selected area in a photo?

I have to admit that I don't know the details of the use of paint, but you could download IrfanView, which is free, able to view a wide variety of image format files, converts between these formats of image files and cultures of the images in the way you describe how you think it should work.

It is in IrfanView, you set the crop area by dragging on the area and can then adjust by moving the up, down, left or right (not the corners).  The image in the collection area does not distort.
