Cannot cross the installation window.  Where is the actual program?

I bought last week at 5.2.  Downloaded from the page of my Mac purchase.  Click on my downloads, open and the installation window popped up.  I clicked on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5. pkg and opened the window of installation process and I went through the Setup screens.  He said that the download was successful.  So, where is the program?  Whenever I click on the Lr icon, it opens the window of installation even with the .pkg and the ReadMe.pdf 5 of Lightroom.  At this point, I went through the installation of two or three times thinking that something different is going to happen (silly).  I have not been able to cross to install.  I feel extremely stupid but can't seem to understand.Screen Shot 2013-09-23 at 6.59.55 PM.jpg

That's all that I keep seeing.  Help!

Thank you very much.

  • Flash Builder on Mac Lion 10.7.5 4.6: cannot run the Setup program: certificate revoked

    Hello

You are aware that FB 4.6 is not install more OS x 10.7.5 and maybe OS X in general?

Because I really need design view last FB does not offer, I just downloaded 4.6 FB for OS X from Adobe: Adobe - Adobe Flash Builder 4: for Macintosh: Flash Builder 4.6 - Mac OS: thanks

My real OS X is 10.7.5, Lion.

Launch of the install.app, it appears an error window:

Please be aware that I know that this message comes from Gatekeeper, see for example: OS X: on Gatekeeper

The fact is that this problem is not solvable, apparently.

The problem is with the application signing certificate, as you can see issuing the command:

    bash - 3.2 # spctl - has Install.app

    Install.app: CSSMERR_TP_CERT_REVOKED

So, here we have a certificate of _revoked_, not a certificate/developer unknown or app unsigned.

Indeed, unfortunately the problem persists even disabling Gatekeeper:

    bash - 3.2 # spctl - status

    co-pays disabled

since apparently a revoked certificate is not an error that can be ignored or circumvented somehow.

As far as I KNOW, the idea behind this is: Apple actually provide no verification quality on applications (they are not "approved by") but may possibly (if there are "problems") block a via the recall mechanism. Because of this, the _revoked? _ check cannot be bypassed/disabled. I'll try as soon as POSSIBLE an upgrade of the OS to see if with the Mountain Lion (10.8) I can possibly force execution Install.app, but chances appear to be rare so far.

So, Adobe, can you help me please?

Maybe sign with a certificate valid for this installer...

FB4.6 is essential because it is the last version with DV. I had to install FB46 on Windows to keep working, but it's no doubt slow me down as everything is on Mac.

    ARO

    a pro developer.

Hello all, good news: after updating to 10.8.5, Mountain Lion I was able to run the Setup program and all went well.

Mountain lion allows the user force execution through the command open context menu (CTRL-click) and it works, just as simple as that.

So my advice is: If you want to install or reinstall Flash Builder 4.6 on a Mac with Lion installed, updated to Mountain Lion or better to avoid problems.

Apple introduced some (not all) Gatekeeper 10.7.3 and following features, but apparently you need a full-fledged 10.8 to also have what you need to work around a revoked certificate error.

Since usually OS X has auto update active, if you run Lion you find with 10.7.5 and do not install FB46. If you manage to somehow hold 10.7.2 I guess you should be able to install FB46, sincerely I don't check it out. In any case, it is simpler and safer to move to 10.8.x.

  • Cannot locate the downloaded programs - that I thought was deleted, but make their appearance during a scan

I spent my Toshiba Satellite laptop, running Windows Vista Home Edition Premium, I was cleaning up unused programs and unnecessary files.  I noticed that when I run a scan, a number of files that I thought was deleted see the upward in the analysis.  Files appear too fast for me to read their locations and are not in the program files.  I tried to use the windows Explorer search, but I don't have the files correct names.  I went through all the files I could think on my hard drive manually.  They are large files and I want to delete to free up memory.  Where else a downloaded program would be if not in 'Downloads' or 'Programs' files?  Help!

If the files have been downloaded using Open instead of save or save as, the file can still be in temporary files. You try to use Disk Cleanup to delete temporary files and check:

For some reason any, since I first linked the default program to open files .dll with Visual C++ 2010 Express (which is not truly attempt open, but instead of it gave me a message somewhere near the lines of "File not supported - Type does not open", incidentally) by chance I could not change since. I also tried to select a file after having hit the "Browse" button, but it didn't open anything. I tried several programs in the present to open, much less to change the default value (these are two notable examples): Netbeans - primarily an IDE for Java, but can open binary files even if she's not actually modify them (note: I changed absolutely nothing on any of them even if I has modified it to make it the default program but this problem affects more than just the ones) (, and it did not start until the last default) and Notepad. I went through the 'Open with' dialog box, and this is where I first encountered the problem of it (described above) outside the Control Panel, which it wouldn't let me change the association of file of it in particular, even if I didn't have one of these questions with any other type of file I tried to change, before or after this madness.

original title: New Data - Program for Windows 7

I just bought a new computer with windows 7.  I am trying to install programs, for example, installing a program to C:\program data\Quantum.  I go to 'my computer' and can not find the folder "program data".  Is it possible that windows is hide it?

    Sandy

    Hi Sandy

The program data file replaced the all users in previous versions of Windows.

Open Windows Explorer. Click on organize / folders and Search Options / View tab.

Select the option Show hidden files, folders and drives, and then click apply/OK.

Navigate to C:\Users. In this folder, you will see a folder named all users with a shortcut arrow or the layering of padlock. It is a symlink pointing to the ProgramData folder. Right-click on the folder and select properties to see this data.

Your programs are not currently installed just for the ProgramData folder. This folder is used to allow any user (for all users) access to an installed program that allows any user to operate this program.

Many times, when you install a program, you will see an option to install the program for the current user only, or to install for all users.

Another way, you can see it is to click on the Start button, right-click on all programs, and select open all users. This will open Windows Explorer to the

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu folder.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Concerning

  • Cannot change the default program to open certain types of files more

I opened the month .package file type by using a specific .exe designed to cope.  I got this morning and by clicking on a .package file brought to the top of the screen "choose default program".  I chose the appropriate program, but it does not appear in the screen of the recommended program, and I can't find any way to make it use the default .exe.   I tried to change it in the area of selection of the programs in the the control panel by default and hot at the same result.  I can still open the files by starting the program manually and choosing the option 'Open', but it is a tedious and repetitive task!  This program is used to group graphic files in a specific format, and it is not uncommon to open and close files .package 5 6 times in a period of 10 minutes.  I really need to fix this ASAP.  My productivity has come to a near standstill.

I'm on Win7 64-bit, the program in question is a stand-alone that has always been in its own folder in the downloads library.  I tried to move to the folder program files (x 86), but that did not help.  Windows recognizes the program when I make the request to select the default program.  When I try to use it however, it is not an option.

I was going to link to the Microsoft Developer Network instructions, but it's a pretty large amount of information for it, so, let me suggest a small program that should be able to do it for you.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.
