Cannot delete a file in a folder that I can see his name in the list of directories

I can't delete a file that I can see in a folder and a list of directories of files.

The name of the file is "000" without visible extension. Don't know if there is a hidden extension, but it isn't.

I went into the same folder using the "Command prompt" window

However, to enumerate the files in the command prompt window, the file name is not visible, but the forlder report indicates that there is a file whose size is 15 bytes.

The file is not readable in a normal DOS window or text editor, which means that a file such as 'Crimson Editor' Editor opens the file, but there is no visible ASCII character.

How can I delete this file?

Try using one of the following free products to remove the file. Assassin http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php of files (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/) or Unlocker to: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml. I am the owner and administrator of my laptop and a single user. I am running Vista Ultimate. I have video files, that I can't remove. In the Properties window, it says I have full access and permissions for the files and folders. However, I get the message "Destination folder access denied." Or "you must be authorized to perform this action." I get the window with the options RETRY or CANCEL. So boring. Any help would be great. A lot of time and effort was exercised in an attempt to find out WHY. I wanted to not just fix the symptoms. It concerned me greatly as a basic function of the operating system does not work. He was not fit for purpose. In the end I found that a third-party application compromised of WINDOWS VISTA 32-bit operating system. So I downloaded the MS debug tools and confirmed my suspicion of dllhost.dll using REGEDIT to set debugging on that.
To cut a long story short, it's DivX 7.2 which caused me grief. In particular, the file DivXDecH264.ax 'has an access violation - code C0000005 (first chance). It has been autonomous in DivX Plus DirectShow Filters.     Thus, when it has been deleted (starting other Articles to original install DivX) through Control Panel of configuration/programs and features my system worked perfectly well.

I know SFA on the architecture of Windows but why was this DivX file loading and cause an access violation whenever I used the windows Explorer? How an operating system may fail in a basic function of by a third party issue? There are some newspaper where this access violation was recorded? It was only possible to identify it in debugging?

1. Restart your computer if it is running.
2. Press the F8 key after your computer powers initially.
3. Once you see the menu Advanced Startup Options , you can stop tapping.
4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
5. Select Safe Mode with network and press enter.
6. You should see loading drivers and then Please wait.
7. You should then be on the Welcome screen.
Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

Hello everyone, I'm pretty stuck here. I can't delete a file in windows 7 or any other do with it besides. Says "the specified file name is not valid or too long. It has a funny name [~ t] and no extension. The file type, say "file". The properties are all screwed looking with a mistake on the Security tab, a size of 0 k, is a Windows (c) \Windows\en-US.The other files in this folder appear normal. The computer seems to work very well without any obvious problems. The only problem is my anti-virus reports with a kind of syntax for the file error and indicates it cannot parse this file. I do not. I can't do a thing with it either. Cannot open, rename, move, delete, change passwords, properties, permissions, nothing. It may be necessary for a good part with 0kb. Hey bud, I figured out how fix it earlier. I am so happy. I came to remember a command called chkdsk which worked very well for various issues, that I had since the construction of my old 2000 Professional machine. I think that one was my first NTFS system. I always liked how well he error correction. Seemed a lot better than the old scandisk. I have a folder that I can't delete on my PC running Windows 7. The folder was created about 4 years ago and has not been used for several years.
