  I run cleanmgr after each session MSN.  The category "temporary files" has recently begun to show 81299KB.  Every second time I run cleanmgr, this figure shows upward, so that the files are not really be deleted.

  I therefore did a search using '%Temp%' and found the "wlsetup_cvr" file in a temporary directory created on 06/05/2010, since the Windows Live installer.  This file is the SAME SIZE as the file above, 81299KB.  I deleted this file, but it comes back.   Why a temporary file 'install' does not remain on the system?  I wouldn't be able to delete as any other temporary file and have it stay deleted?

  This file is supposed to be there in the folder temp for the windows live messenger continues to run, that is why even after deleting it will come back.

  I got this file from my friend got sent - is a word document, I had on their computer.  So I tried to use Disk Cleanup to delete temporary files, temporary internet files and files program downloaded.  Does not work.

  When I check the properties, there is no security tab so I can't transfer ownership in this way.

  Try to start your PC in safe mode by following the steps below and see if you can delete that folder/file from there.

  How to start in safe MODE

  1. Restart your computer if it is running.
  2. Press the F8 key after your computer powers initially.
  3. Once you see the menu Advanced Startup Options , you can stop tapping.
  4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
  5. Select Safe Mode with network and press enter.
  6. You should see loading drivers and then Please wait.
  7. You should then be on the Welcome screen.

  Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

It has a funny name [~ t] and no extension. The file type, say "file". The properties are all screwed looking with a mistake on the Security tab, a size of 0 k, is a Windows (c) \Windows\en-US.The other files in this folder appear normal. The computer seems to work very well without any obvious problems. The only problem is my anti-virus reports with a kind of syntax for the file error and indicates it cannot parse this file. I do not. I can't do a thing with it either. Cannot open, rename, move, delete, change passwords, properties, permissions, nothing. It may be necessary for a good part with 0kb. According to me, I want to just delete the thing. Please, anyone? Thanks in advance.

  Hey bud, I figured out how fix it earlier. I am so happy. I came to remember a command called chkdsk which worked very well for various issues, that I had since the construction of my old 2000 Professional machine. I think that one was my first NTFS system. I always liked how well he error correction. Seemed a lot better than the old scandisk. Low and behold, I tried and star ANISE, it is went through it, found this file almost from the beginning of the analysis and a few lines later, he said has been removed.   How what you are trying to delete? Have you tried to delete the attachment it yourself or the entire email. Have you tried to delete the entire thing on the server using a web browser?

  I am the owner and administrator of my laptop and a single user. I am running Vista Ultimate. I have video files, that I can't remove. In the Properties window, it says I have full access and permissions for the files and folders. However, I get the message "Destination folder access denied."  Or "you must be authorized to perform this action." I get the window with the options RETRY or CANCEL. So boring.
