I can't remove the temporary files of the disk (C :) in the cleaning based on my computer disc.  I can delete all other functions such as temporary internet files, but not temporary files.  Whenever I click on delete temporary files, they don't remove it. they remain.  I use Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have also the software Ccleaner deletes temporary files.  I've checked to delete the temporary files.  When I run the program, it is said

the files have been deleted.  However, when I go on cleaning feature drive once again, temporary files are still there.

I also passed to the Internet Internet Explorer-Tools-Options-general-Delete browsing history and chose to delete the history.  I clicked on delete and OK.

but temporary girls are always in the cleaning function disc.

    Hello

    Method 1:

Try restarting your computer in safe mode where in the computer will start with a minimal set of drivers and programs and then try to delete the file:

Even if you have used anti-virus software, I suggest you to run Microsoft Safety Scanner for any spyware or malware infection.

Note: the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • I want to delete temporary internet files. Note that I did not clear the cache. It does not work! How can I delete temporary files? Why did you take this feature? VERY frustrating that you would do that!

I'm looking for how to remove the temp int files and continue to flow upward with the nonsense of "empty the cache". This isn't what I searched. Clear the cache does NOT remove temporary files. Why do you want to take this feature here?

Firefox uses or not delete temporary internet files which use IE and a few plugins. Firefox uses the Cache if you are using Firefox on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux or some other OS.

  • Cannot delete temporary file 'wlsetup_cvr '.

I run cleanmgr after each session MSN.  The category "temporary files" has recently begun to show 81299KB.  Every second time I run cleanmgr, this figure shows upward, so that the files are not really be deleted.

I did a search using "*.tmp", found BITF3.tmp file size 81299KB, and I deleted it.  Two days later category "temporary files" started showing 81299KB again.  BITF3.tmp is no longer on the system.

I therefore did a search using '%Temp%' and found the "wlsetup_cvr" file in a temporary directory created on 06/05/2010, since the Windows Live installer.  This file is the SAME SIZE as the file above, 81299KB.  I deleted this file, but it comes back.   Why a temporary file 'install' does not remain on the system?  I wouldn't be able to delete as any other temporary file and have it stay deleted?

  • How can I delete temporary files?

When you click START, then RUN, I type temp and delete the files on all computers in my office.  Almost every one of them now has a list of .tmp files that are unable to remove.  They all start with LAE and range from LAE9F.tmp, LAE13A etc...   There are 19 in total... and they are all in blue, if that means anything.

When I remove them, I get the message "access is denied. Make sure that the disk is not full or protected in writing and that the file is not currently in use"

It's my understanding that they are... especially when it's the only thing open on my computer.

    How can I remove them?

I tried to go back and call the authorities, but to no avail.

    Thank you

    Patrick

I don't know what these files are, however, all files in the TEMP directory are safe to remove, but you can restart once, just to make sure that there are no "restart to perform this installation procedure" in the waiting.

Files that are displayed in blue are compressed.

If the files are older than 7 days, you may be able to remove them using disk cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr.exe > OK).

Otherwise you can probably remove them starting mode safe mode (F8 tap immediately after reboot sequence starts, before the Windows logo doesn't appear).

Alternatively, instead of Safe Mode, the following almost always works:

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK).
    • Navigate to the directory where the files of LAExxx.tmp are located using the cd command.

      CD C:\Windows\Temp {press Enter}

    • Leave the command prompt window, start the task (CTRL + ALT + DELETE) Manager
    • Find explorer.exe in the processes list, select it and click on "end process."
    • At this point, your screen should be empty except for the command prompt window open and the Task Manager
    • In the command prompt window, type the following command

      del *. * (press Enter}

    • Go back to Task Manager, click file > new task (run...) and in the "Open" box type

      Explorer.exe

    • Click OK.
    • Your office should be back to normal. Close the command prompt and the windows task manager and the files should be gone.

  • Deletion of temporary files in Win7 has bad effects in FireFox

I made a BIG mistake and went through the process of clearing the temporary internet files in WIndows 7. I have now several frequently used Web sites that are not set up correctly. For example, when I select ancestry.com there is a button to connect, but clicking on it does not give me a window of registration. My normal www.slac.stanford.edu homepage brings up a list of text items, but not the image that I was expecting. There are several others who should have buttons to click on but are not. It all works properly if I use IE, but something happened when I deleted temporary files that Firefox interact properly with these sites. There must be a setting somewhere that has cleared. Where to watch and/or how do I retrieve my familiar Firefox?

I gave up trying to find and fix the problem. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. No change when I told him not to delete my data and user settings. So I backed up my favorites and uninstalled again, this time to say things to clear the settings and data of the user. This time the resettlement seems to have solved the problem.

  • is it safe to delete the temporary files?

a game on MSN games froze the screen. The solution I got was to remove & reinstall Java, delete cookies, temp internet files.  I will lose any important data if I delete temporary files?

Temporary files because they are are temporary and can be deleted safely. Of course, when you remove cookies from Web sites that you visit often preventing login/password information and then you will have to re-enter.

The only time where it is not recommended to delete the temporary files is when you install a program, and if this program always needs to restart to complete the installation.

It is rare that any who save their important data in temporary since the temp files folders are always flushed when the user run CCleaner or all files temporary cleaner.

    Hi twittles9

Yes if you don't need the files for any other purpose or debug information you can probably remove these files from your computer. Please refer to the article for more information and check if this may help-

    I hope this helps.

  • temporary files?

    Hi all

I don't know that it is a pretty basic question.  I'm doing a disk cleanup and he asks me if I want to delete 'temporary files '.   Not the "temporary internet files" 'temporary files.   It gives me an option to delete internet temporary files and is not a problem, I know where those who are.  But I'll try to find the folder "temporary files" to ensure it's OK to delete what is in it.  During the disk cleanup, it does give me not an option to view the files located in this folder as it does with the temporary internet files.

It is said that it is safe to delete these files, if they have not changed in the last week, but I can not find the folder to see if files have been changed.  He didn't even if I do an advanced search.

Can someone tell me where it is?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi again bluefluff,

In fact, they exist but are probably hidden on your part according to your settings.

    • Click Start, and then type options recordsClick on the folder above Options.
    • Click the view tab.
    • Select to show the hidden files and folders.
    • Click OK.

Please let me know if that helps.
