• Computer laptop ThinkPad X4F-not not connect to internet via wifi

  I only am not computer savvy so please keep answers dummied down if possible. I used this laptop last Friday and it starts today and cannot connect to internet via wifi. No problem whatsoever before that. Checked with other computers and devices in the home and the wireless network and internet are working properly.

  Checked this notebook and the wifi is enabled (airplane mode), says its connected to the router (in the connections) but the Scrolls right and said "identification" tray icon Using the LAN works fine. Looked at the wireless card and it says device is working properly and is fully updated.

  This computer is running windows 8, which I still have a problem navigate through the.

  FOR INFO. Lenovo has solved the problem. They refreshed / reset my computer to factory settings and then flashed the video card to install a firmware update.

  It seems that this should be done before they sent me this computer three weeks ago...

  Windows 2012 is fully compatible on ESXI 5.0, IF you have the appropriate update to build 821926. Since you indicate you cannot select Windows 2012 as a BONE, I want to say that you do not have this update installed.

  In short, I don't think it is at all appropriate to run Windows 2012 on your environment without updates.

  If you apply the updates, of course, it makes sense to apply later and install update 2.

• Cannot install Windows on MacBook mid 2012 El Capitan 10

  I struggled for a few days to the new installation of Windows 10 on my MacBook Air mid 2012, 13 ". I just upgraded to El Capitan, but my bootcamp still shows the version 5.0.4 (473) when I go to install Windows 10 via USB bootable 64 bit, bootcamp opens with "older versions of Windows are not supported. Please use a Flash DRIVE or a Dvd that contains Windows 7 or later. "I don't know how update bootcamp separately, because the only updated to bootcamp 6 can I download is a .exe, which does not work on my Mac. Is there a way to get around this? Am I missing something? I also saw on other forums where there is a menu actions in bootcamp to download windows drivers, but my bootcamp is not a drop Action.   1 is it possible have two installations of Mac OS X or your upgrade is not yet complete. Please check the about this Mac and confirm.

  2 has been upgraded to El Capitan made using the App Store?

  3. you have more than one boot disk for your Mac?

  4. you can always re - run the upgrade of El Capitan, which will be re-install/update the missing files.

  5. What is the name of the .exe file that you can download? What is the source?

  6. If possible, use a USB2 flash drive. USB3 drives can cause problems.

  Two days to work on this issue and I am puzzled. Here's what I past Windows 7 box connected via cat5 to switch 8600 more connected via wifi. All other contracting parties times hard wired or WIFI print. Win 7 box can see all PC and network devices on the net at home (and view the shared files) just not the 8600 (also box can not ping to the address given for the 8600 dhcp). I checked Norton does not block the printer scanner and also tried hard not defining the ip addy of the printer in the wizard go. What I'm going to try tonight is to hard wire the printer from the box and see if things are getting better but it is a shared printer and must reside in a central location. ALL the thoughts in this matter would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my end of strings with something that should be and easy plug and play.

  System: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit with Service Pack 1

  Router: Netgear N600 model #: WNDR3400v2

  Cable router: SBV5220 Surfboard Motorola

  Now several months ago this desktop computer once more had SOME programs lose the ability to access the internet via an Ethernet cable.

  Affected programs:

  MS Internet Explorer

  Mozilla Firefox

  Avast! Security Suite

  Work of MS Security Update

  Ping works sites (Yahoo, etc.)

  Other computers connected to this network via WiFi - no problem getting on the internet.

  Run the network troubleshooter advises all is working properly, no suggestion.

  Attempted fixes:

  Turn off all extensions on IE (but don't forget Firefox and Avast! are also unable to access.)

  Disabled all start-ups and the package process

  Restarted in Safe Mode - still not able to access.

  Ran check complete virus, then check virus run start. Minor ad-ware 'virus' not found, all corrected automatically.

  Rebooted the router and the computer to infinity and beyond! s

  Tried other computers using the same ethernet cable connected to this wireless routers cable, no problem accessing the internet.

  Disabled functions package

  Off MS Firewall

  IP Reset configuration (memory: netsh ip net reset c:\resetlog.txt - without DOUBT NOT EXACT - OF THE MEMORY.) Command worked)

  As I said, this had happened before and then miraculously fixed itself after a short period (less than 1 week). This time, no joy.

  Of course, it's one of two things:

  (1) a configuration problem I just can't find/understand.

  (2) the problem of equipment more strange, more selective, in the universe.

  I wanted to thank you for your help. I finally broke down and reached out to our friends at Microsoft directly for assistance. They had me a role through all the things that you suggested (again). And finally (after many hours of phone and chat discussions) came up with an answer: "* shrug * we don't know what is the problem - choose a restore point and come back to that.» What I did. This has solved the problem of internet access, but created other problems I'm trying (nothing that I have to post here, they are specific to a particular program package).

  Still, I wanted to thank you for your time and effort on my behalf. I'm very, very happy!

• Running Powershell script with ESXCLI commands via a scheduled task in Windows 2012 does not work.

  I'm trying to run a powershell script of a scheduled task in Windows 2012. The script calls the commands ESXCLI and ends with success (exporting to a CSV file) but the file has no data inside.  If I run the script manually without the scheduled task file has all the I expect to exit.

  I wonder if there is a framework with Powershell or a PSSnapin I need to add to the script for it to run via a scheduled task.  Has anyone done this before with the ESXCLI commands?

  panhvr - you may to something.  The process account that I use to run this script has only read-only access in vCenter.  I logged on the server I am running these reports with the process ID and tried to run the script.  He gave me errors indicating permission to perform the operations of esxcli was denied.

  I think we found the culprit!  I'll have this process ID in vCenter rights upward.

  You say that you install on Windows 2012.  If you are using the latest installation programs (which adds support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8), the mandatory update is already integrated and does not need to be installed again.  If you were using one of the older installers, then you download the last being and use it.

  I also have this exact problem.

  To be clear, I have:

  WIndows 8.1 device (Surface Pro 2)

  Sony Bravia KDL-48W600B

  I tried several times to connect to the TV and it just doesn't work.

  I ran into issues and methods of connection I have tried:

  1. Go to the "Input" menu and selecting "Mirror screen" on the TV and then adding the device on my 2 Surface Pro; the television told me to follow the instructions on my computer, my computer told me to follow the instructions on the TV
  2. Go to 'Configuration'--> 'Network'--> 'Settings Wifi Direct'--> 'Options'--> 'Manual'--> 'Other methods'--> 'Options'--> ' WPS (PIN);  This did not work as my Surface Pro 2 was not prompted for a PIN code and just try to add it with the same result as above
  3. Turn on/off 'Notification of registration '.
  4. Reset TV factory
  5. When he 'Add' device, whenever I have expressed on the screen, it just goes black

  Hi, I struggled for the last 2 days and can't seem to find how to create a windows partition and installed it.

  Note: I have a 27 inch mid 2011 Imac and run MacOS Sierra 10.12.

  I have problems with bootcamp especially at the stage of the process USB drive.

  2. I prefer to install windows 7 on my partition, bootcamp, however 'install windows 10', which means that I can't install an older version on my partition? I tried to install windows 7 via a win7 .iso file AND a win10 .iso but none of them works.

  3. whenever I try to install windows, the system do not recognize my USB (it would be with .iso win10 associated drivers or Win7 .iso. + drivers associated) and constantly asking for a disc to be inserted.

  

  My USB has been formatted through disk as MS-DOS (FAT32) volume and all utility used .iso comes from Microsoft. I don't understand why I can't have my. ISO recognized by the system.

  This is normal and expected behavior. Your 2011 Mac does not support the USB Windows installation. You must use a physical DVD burned ISO. Your Mac does not officially support Windows 10. The ISO files are available at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/home .

  Documentation on Apple's site shows not all models. Please visit https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/mac/5.0/help/ for an older version (FC5).
