Cannot find the server

I just hung a new Linksys WRT160N router and a Linksys WMP300N Adpater card.  Router works fine and adapters see the router. I can connect to the network created by the router wireless. When I try to explore or browsers Fireox both return 'cannot find server '. What habve of parameters to change to fix this?   I tried D-Link adapter and got the same results...

If you don't have access to the Internet on another computer then, your router is not configured and you must configure your router...

To configure your router,

If your Internet Service is cable follow this
If your Internet Service is DSL follow this

If you have Internet connection on any other computer and then, on the computer that has WMP300N wireless adapter, click on start > all programs > Accessories > guest... A black box will appear (command prompt)... In the command prompt window type ipconfig and press "Enter"... Find the address for IP, the subnet mask and default gateway connection wireless network...

You should get an IP of 192.168.1.x, Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 192.168.1.1...

"If you do not get the IP above, then your computer must be set to a static ip address, click the Start button > settings > Panel > Network Connections - right click on the wireless network connection icon and go to properties - in the"Général"tab select"TCP/IP Internet Protocol"and click on the properties button - select"Obtain IP address automatically"and obtain DNS automatically"...

  • "Safari cannot find the server.

I have not had this happens in another version of Safari, but since the update more recent (9.1.1 on May 17, 2016), I get the following message several times a day: "Safari cannot find the server. Refreshing the page does not help. After I visit some other sites, I am able to connect to those that I had a problem with. Most of the information I could find going back five or more and seems not applicable. It is not necessarily the same sites that don't load. It is random and occurs throughout the day. It's annoying and sometimes embarrassing, but I'm dealing with it (I didn't wish)!

Does anyone else have this problem? Is this a bug in the latest version of Safari and there at - it an easy fix? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  • Can not find the server/problem loading page

I've made a few changes to a CFC that caused it not to compile. When I tried to access my web application it gave me the error as planned CF, pointing to my invalid code. I commented on the service out and reloaded my app. When I tried to view it in the browser, I'm greeted by an error can not find the server. What disturbs me is that I am able to access other web applications without an error cannot find the server in the browser. Does anyone know why an application would cause an error of cannot find the server and not others? I hope this is clear :) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently I WASN'T looking to another web application, but a prototype html that the browser displays because he had no tags CF. The problem is that somehow the CF Server service was not working. It works... problem solved.

  • P1102w - cannot find the printer

    Hello

I'm unable to print using a wireless connection.

    the printer is p1102w.

operating system is MAC OS 10.10 Yosemite

Whenever I try to print something I get "printer is not connected / cannot find the printer" message.

I tried the solutions on your support site, but nothing helped.

For sure, printer is connected to the same network as the computer. I see it on the print configuration page and I can connect to its IP address via a web browser (but I can't use web services).

All software and drivers are up to date. Update Apple is nothing new to me. Niether have your site.

I tried to move the printer closer and further away from router. No results.

No web proxy is related to my network.

To make this work, I have to remove the printer from my system, reinstall it using the USB cable, and then add it again via wi - fi.

But some time the problem reappears.

    It's really frustrating. Help, please.

    Hi @xopot ,

I see that you have problems printing via wireless network. I would like to help you today.

Since you can access the printer embedded Web server, the printer would have a valid IP address. Most likely, it has something to do with the software that the printer uses.

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the name and the correct password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

Configure a static IP address for the printer.

The printer is not found during Installation wireless.

Do not take into account the title. Select the Solution 4: assign your printer a static IP address.

If you need help, let me know.

    Have a great day!
    Thank you.

  • Remote Desktop error: the system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\ < LANG_NAME > \mstsc.exe.MUI

Came across an interesting problem this morning. After starting my PC from various applications (OutLook 2002, Management Studio of SQL Server 2008, etc.). I was able to connect to a server by using Remote Desktop (RDP, alias). On trying to connect to a second system, I started getting the following error message:

The system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\\mstsc.exe.MUI

Will always be connected to the server, I tried to launch a second instance using RDP, but received the same error message.

I googled the error and found different solutions (the best solution to examine ishttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/thread/164d1e0b-51e6-4201-9dc2-3f4a0ccb14e5), however, none of the solutions seemed to work.

I tried checking the virus/malware, etc, but nothing was found. I tried to re - load the dll and the exe (s), but still not received the error message.

The next solution was to try to see what can be changed on my system (new programs, etc.). I noticed there is an update downloaded to my system (C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log): AutomaticUpdates content success install successful and Restart required for the following update: update for Windows XP (KB969084)... the update is related to remote desktop.

I rebooted the system, still not received the RDP error messages. Is I did a complete "install updates and shut down ', and then restarted my system that started working again.

For the record, here is some information on my system:

    XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.091208 - 2036: Service Pack 3)

    c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe: 6.1.7600.16385

I wanted to just post this in case someone else runs into a similar problem...

    Thank you!

I have a machine with the same problem

XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600

I installed the update for Windows XP (KB969084).

It does not, but a reboot is required because the system is running on the old dll

    MSTSC.exe works now

The only thing that seems to not work is calendar Office Print Wizard. I deleted this file and the problem persists. Also, I have not found anything in the case where the viewer that relates to this error. The only mistake I found was an issue with the .net framework. I removed all the facilities framework and their updates. Restarted the computer and ther error disappeared and was replaced by errors in programs that require this file to work. I reinstalled .net framework 2 and returns the error. I left all the machine off separation executives. I did a repair on the .net framework without change.
