  A few old machines will not recognize a USB keyboard/mouse until after Windows starts.  Look at the back of your computer and see if you have a PS/2 (round) connector for a keyboard and a mouse.  If you do, then you will need to use a keyboard with a round PS/2 connector or a USB-to-PS/2 adapter and plug the PS/2 connector on the back of your computer so that it recognizes the keyboard until Windows starts on your keyboard.

  The SATA driver applies to your hard drive.  A CD of start-up/installation of Windows XP does not recognize a SATA hard drive.  If you install Windows, you will need to hit F6 at the right time and insert a floppy with the SATA driver on this subject.

  I have a business requirement for a dashboard that we built location to get the users that belong to a certain geographic location to the default view of the dashboard with guests together in their geographic area.  He is just giving them a default view to enhance their experience when they connect each day.   Because of the way that we put the default value for the period of time they watch, with the HELP of SAUVÉ the CUSTOMIZATIONS IS NOT AN OPTION.

  I created the default values for the prompt called "area" in a block of initialization. This variable is called V_USER.

  My problem is that only about 80% of users have a value of 'Area' in the hierarchy of our employees.   I would like to someone else by default "(toutes les valeurs de colonne)". "  I was unable to understand how and where do.

  Some of the things I've tried:

  (1)	Setting the default value in the initialization of an empty space block ("in SQL)
  (2)	Setting the default value in the initialization "(toutes les valeurs de colonne) block '"
  (3)	Setting the default value in the initialization block 'null '.

  None of them have worked and the result is that the user who does not have an area ends with a load of zombie dashboard, and while the guest gave rise to fashion "- select value -", the user must press "Apply" again to get the dashboard to display the data.

  The text which lies behind the encircled area in green below correctly becomes the value of the variable to V_USER (it is empty as default and I don't have a box).

  For @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[USERS ']} the default zone must be @{biServer.variables ['NQ_SESSION.]} {[V_USER']} {}

  Thanks for your comments.  I was not able to make this work for my needs.  I have however to solve the problem by changing using a 'SQL result' for my default selection.  Then I created a query that returns rows NULL unless there is a correct answer:

  I see a strange problem when using the SESSION variable in OBIEE 11 g SPR for the level of data security.

  The RPD, I created a new block with the PRODUCT session variable init and wise initialization line is defined.

  SQL -SELECT DISTINCT 'PRODUCT', product_id OF BI_SECURITY WHERE UPPER (USER_ID) is UPPER(':USER')

  Condition of data filter is defined on the tables & Dimension in the application role

  Filter data based on products assigned to the user in the security table is applied.

  User A has produced 15 assigned ID

  User B has 100 product ID assigned

  The user was able to connect to the presentation of OBIEE and see assigned product ID are filtered in the report.

  But when a user B signs he sees below error, when you run the same report

  [nQSError: 23006] The session variable, NQ_SESSION. PRODUCT, has no value definition

  Is there a limit on the number of values in session variable can contain.

  Why the error occurs only for user B?

  Has anyone encountered this problem?

  We found there is nothing in the list of the product id is assigned to user B, so report OBIEE failed with [nQSError: 23006]

  Adding a NULL value is NOT fixed INIT SQL block this problem with access from user B.

  I have a Session variable, I am assigning it an initial value [3] during the loading of the page. But, during the drop value menu selection and the "submit" button hit, I update the value of the Session variable.
  The update is unsuccessful and the session variable is preserved the initial value. Here's the code used to assign the value to the Session variable:

  First of all, you cannot use EQ with CFSET comparison operator. It should result in an error. If this is done on the bottom, there will be an error and nothing is set.

  Also, are you sure that FORM. Offer exists during the validation of the form?

  This means that your init block does not work. Check the init block why its not leading is not to any data.

  only when the init block fails in the data, the server checks for the default value of the variable.

  Since there is no default value, you get this error.

  
  

  Init blocks can fail because

  1 connection pool does not work.

  2. the table or view does not exist

  3. no data in the table

  4. the filter in the sql in init block is not initialized if his coming of another variable of session.

  
  

  in general, no data should bring no results in a report.

  Since you have a session variable as part of the report, and this variable initialization failed, you get this error.

  Maybe I'm just not understand how function of session variables and
  I hope that someone here can help me to do so.
  
  I am trying to establish an auto-dialing for a client process report
  so when a person displays an online report, a number of declaration is
  generated and stored in a variable session and when information
  is submitted, download number of report and the additional information provided
  a database. Everything seems to work as expected, except for this.
  
  I use an application.cfm file to define the session management and to create a
  Report number and set this number to a session variable.
  
  When the person opens the report form page, there is a teaching section
  for their study, followed by a 'Proceed' button to go to the next section of the
  page.
  
  When they click on the "Continue" button, is when the number of report which is held in a
  session variable (application.cfm) should insert in a hidden for later form field
  upload, which seems to happen.
  
  Now for the part that I don't understand. I thought that both a session
  had not expired, the session variable would remain in use and so if
  the report page has been updated (reloaded) of the same session would be variable
  be used.
  
  What I feel, is that whenever the report page is to be regenerated,
  a new report number is loaded in the session variable. I'm not
  understand how to work the session variables? Am I missing some criticism
  piece of coding or point here?

  But if you want to stick with the application.cfm approach, there is a difference in what you say you do and what your code is showing. You say "I checked to see if the session variable has been set and he has been.", but I don't see any if/else logic in the part of your application.cfm code where you set the variable. Remember, the code runs on each page, including request refreshes.

  The xml tags are not converted to "" but "\uFEFF" (zero-width space non-bec), it is the character used to represent the tags in a text frame. Looks like the apple script converts a hexadecimal representation unicode values.

  It seems that you put the columns incorrectly in the user authentication server behavior. This is the SQL query that checks the credentials of the user:

  Is it possible to output report to the session variable value. If my report returns 1 row and 1 column.
  
  I have a dashboard command prompt where I select name, but I want to find the ID of the same name.
  This ID I want to move to a Fx column, to achieve this, I created an interim report and I got the code. Now my problem is how do I put this ID in the session variable.
  
  Please help if anyone knows...

  Dashboard invites on Month Name but the report on the ID of the month filter:

  If you have dashboard guest (name), then you can have that one report that is filtered by a name but present card to display or not id but use id in the service. Or two reports as in the solution in the second link above and the second report has id in the function and filter by the id of the first report. You need not define this ID in the session for this example variable.
