Cannot get wireless driver to work on dv4-1160eo

Hello

I formatted the hard drive of the laptop new and everything works great except for the wireless network.

It shows as unknown device manager and tried all the different drivers on the driver page.

Very grateful for the help!

Hello:

The string ID of material you posted lists the device as the Broadcom WLAN Wireless-N.

These should be the drivers for it:

  • Cannot get wireless driver to install - how?

    Hello

I just bought a refurbished 2100(te?) tecra notebook and again, I have to get the wifi working. I have a yellow exclamation beside 'Network controller' in the Device Manager on XPSP1 pro. I downloaded what was labeled as a driver on the toshiba site, but when I try to install the windows driver responds with a message stating that the driver does not match my hardware and therefore won't let me install the driver. I also welcomed windows 'Search' for the driver via the internet, of course, it was without result. Please let me know if you have any ideas to solve this problem. Here's the info from the laptop:

    Serial number - 53015241SU
    Part number - PT210U-02D3L72
1.8 GHZ P4, 1 GB DDR, RJ45 (10/100 NIC), RJ11 (modem), integrated 30 GB HD, DVD, wifi (Yes, it should be not only the switch and internal antenna) and other normal stuff.

Any help would be appreciated in the sovereign.

    Thank you
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy

You later built in wireless card or wireless card has already been built by Toshiba? It is very important to know who is the producer of this wireless card, because different drivers are available for the various producers. Jeremy can you check this?

Ive downloaded and installed all the network drivers that Ive found here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5170...

but none of them works. I have searched my Wireless Chipset on google for the drivers but still have not found one that works.

I had windows ultimate x 64 on this pc before and I found a driver that works but after a long search, but this time I couldn't find.

    Any help please?

    Sorry, that didn't work.

    Run the driver again.

Go to Device Manager and click on the network controller.

  • Cannot get the USB to work HP G6-2278dx

My girlfriend just bought the HP 2278dx g6 with pre-installed Windows 8. Unfortunately, she's not worried about her and is pretty set on Windows 7. So I bought his windows 7 Ultimate and installed on his computer. I downloaded and installed all the drivers I could find, but I can't the usb on the left side of the computer at work. In Device Manager"also of shows me some other stuff that does not work (I would like to list, but she of not here right now and has the computer with it and won't return until Wednesday)

I thought it would be a chipset or something I need to download, but NOWHERE on the internet find a chipset for the HP g6-2278dx win7 64-bit. Sort could someone help me? (btw, the only usb that works is on the right side next to the power input charger.)

I just installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit version on my G6-2278dx. For me to get my USB 3 ports to work, I installed the drivers for the AMD chipset from this page.

    http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/raid_windows.aspx#2

I believe that the network card is the 8168 8169. I don't remember the hand. You would like the Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 driver (Version 7.065) I'm not on my laptop, so I'm out of memory which is not always good. Wireless network card works since the drivers used by Windows 7 if I remember correctly, because that's what I used to download all the drivers I needed for the other stuff.

I'll have to check which driver I used for wired LAN port, but you can get them from Realtek on these two pages.

  • try reinstalling - cannot get Windows XP drivers working but material out Linux LiveCD work

After having picked up some malware on microtour DX7300 of my wife, I decided to reformat the disk and reinstall.  For years and do not have a copy of the diskette of HP recovery that was created when we arrived first of all the computer.

I have a copy of Windows XP Pro, installed in such a way that very well.  Device Manager is reported the driver problems with a large part of the devices as ethernet controller, audio, video etc.  I guess I can install most of the people afterwards, except the network/ethernet because I need, obviously, to connect to the internet.  Would have hoped that these devices are plug n play, but apparently not.

I used a Ubuntu LiveCD to connect to internet.  So I know the network interface hardware works, and even audio and video resolution were out of the LiveCD.

Found the drivers on this site:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3251397&...

Those downloaded across the network.  In reading the DX7300, it is clear to me if the network card is the Broadcomm one or Intel.  Rebooted WinXP, I tried installing the Intel driver, got an error message no Intel device not found.  So I guess that's the Broadcomm one.  This driver, installation actually installed.  However, even after a reboot the network device does not work and presents itself as an error in the Device Manager.

Thought I'd try to manually install the drivers by pointing "drivers" unpacked in the directory of installation above.  Windows indicated that the correct drivers were not found there.

I'm at one end.  The material seems to work under linux, but cannot get the win to install the drivers.  Advice or help appreciated.

    Hello:

This is exactly what I need.

First install the Chipset driver and reboot:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3251394&prodNameId=3251397&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ir-57823-1

    Then, install the graphics driver;

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3251394&prodNameId=3251397&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=vc-68806-1

Then, install the MS UAA HD Audio Bus driver:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3251394&swItem=PSG_I23303-108286&prodNameId=3251397&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=3

    Then, install the HECI driver:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=3251394&prodNameId=3251397&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ir-46941-1

Now for your pesky NIC... It's a NIC from Intel.

Let's try this 'one size fits all' network driver Intel: you want the first listed download (XP 32 bit).

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&DwnldID=18717&ProdId=1700&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%20XP%20%20Professional * & DownloadType = drivers

  • Satellite Pro P300-19 q - cannot get the Wlan to work

    Hello

Ive just bought the PRO P300-19 q and as many other people cannot get wifi to register even less to connect to any network. I will say that I am under XP Pro. I've updated all the drivers and everything is enabled.

If anyone can help with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. It seems absurd that Toshiba or Intel have not resolved that, as the problem is ongoing since 2005 - announcement earlier I found.

    Thanks for your help, Zato.

    Hello!

You have successfully updated the WLAN driver on the Toshiba site?
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

Try to update the BIOS of your laptop. You will find on the Toshiba site.

You use the same standard WiFi on your laptop as on the router? Check in the properties.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L350 - cannot get the keyboard to work with Vista Home Premium

I just reinstalled Vista Home Premium 32 bit but can not get the keyboard works. I tried to connect an external keyboard with the same results. I checked the disk manager that says that the driver is working OK I wonder if it could be a problem of system or a hardware problem.

    Any help would be welcome

    Jim

    Try the external USB keyboard.
If it works correctly, then the internal keyboard works bad and must be replaced.

  • Cannot install Wireless driver for Wifi

    * Original title: Wireless completely missing driver

I have a Toshiba Satellite L650 PSK1JA-0FN017, and recently he stopped to connect to a wi - fi connection. I checked the network adapters in the Device Manager and it lists only Atheros AR8152 PCI - E Fast Ethernet Controller. Ethernet works fine and seems the only way I can connect.
When I press Fn + F8 nothing happens (probably coz there is nothing to work on), but when I press the Fn, invented flash cards and the shortcut keys work for all other functions. I tried a system restore, recovery of hard drive, and nothing helps, it still does not work.
During the hard drive recovery process, I saw that he was installing Broadcom, Atheros Wireless Lan Intel AND drivers. I went on the site of Toshiba and re-installed all the wireless drivers, but nothing happens. I also tried updating my BIOS but that did nothing either. Because the wireless driver is missing, I don't know what specific driver, actually, I need to install so I tried lot but they did not work.
In addition, during the recovery process, I have 4 recovery disks, but it only used the first one as he did not invite me to insert other... Maybe that's where I was wrong? I also installed a Toshiba value pack...
Oh, I'm also running on Windows 7 64 bit

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Even if you think of doing the things I've already mentioned, I'll try again.

  • Satellite Pro P300-1EC - cannot get wireless to work

    Hello!

First of all. Excuse me for my English!

    TEC Spec.

    Toshiba Satellite Pro P300-1EC
    Intel WiFi Link 5100
    Windows XP Pro SP3

I have a big problem. I can't get the wireless LAN working properly.
And the customer has purchased this computer because his old computer stopped working with WLAN...

I tried everything I can. And I am a person of educated tech, so I think I should have the knowledge of this, but I do not have.

    Short version.

    1. install the latest drivers. (Also tried more aged)
    2 restart the computer.
3 WNIC takes about 10 min to find WLAN.
    4. While working perfect with 130Mbps on project N.
5.i can user logout and change and all.
    6. when I restart I'm back at number 3.

    Long version:

I installed XP pro since the XP downgrade Cd included and wireless drivers wasn't on that CD so I downloaded them. (And Yes. "This is the correct drivers.)
After that I installed the driver and restart my computer, I could not find wireless networks. Kind of weird because I have 4 routers/points of WLAN on my company with the range 60-100% and about 3 other public routers without security. I tried to update the drivers to windows update, and WU has found an update for me. I installed driver and the wireless highlight function. I scream YES and restart the computer. Then it stopped working. N° !!!
I was a little tired on the problem and began installing some other computers that I bought and when I looked the Toshiba computer that I saw that it was connected to my WLAN. Weird, but I thought it worked then I restart the computer again and then his does not work... again! Now, I have analyzedthe problem and it's like that.

When I start the computer the my WNIC does not any WLAN.
About 10 min (10m32s) after starting the wireless started working.
I am able to disconnect and change the user and it still works, but as soon as I restart the computer it stops and I have to wait another 10 minutes. And so on.

Anyone been trough something like this even if it is not not toshiba or my model?

    Hello

What is the Satellite Pro P300 - 1EC BIOS is up-to-date?
    Please check everything first.

You said you are using Draft N did you tried to establish the WiFi connection using other standard WLan as 802.11 A or G?

I also recommend changing the WiFi channel and try other channels.

In addition, you can change a WLan option that affects the WLan functionality. You can find these settings in the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab

    Good bye

First we need some basic information.
Have you properly installed WLAN card?
Wireless network card appears correctly in the Device Manager?

You can use the key combination FN + F8 to toggle the WIFI?
