Cannot import videos in the Lightroom library.

I have a problem to import video files (.) (MOV), coming from the iPhone in video.

When I press "import...". "and choose my files (video only 10 sec, 28MB in size), the window of exploitation would freeze for a while, then video preview could not build.

However, I always press low import, the photo still can import with success, but video cannot, and the task bar would freeze FOREVER.

(The photo then the video also could not import too.)

The Lightroom had been updated to the latest version (5.6), OS is Mac OS X Yosemite.

I searched the previews, included discussions

Lightroom restarts, restart the computer, delete and rebulid preference "com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist" files

Remove and reinstall Lightroom

Delete and re-create the catalog

Remove the video covers (by lightroom preference, file manipulation, clear Cache.)

Then, I found that I do not have the video cache files in my user library

Users / [username] / Library/Caches/Adobe /.

Do not display the Lightroom folder from other computers of Lightroom installed. (Another mac also use OS X Yosemite and import fine.)

I press down right, check that I have "Read & Write" permissions the Adobe folder.

The question is: How can I tell Lightroom to generate the video cache files?

Or are there other reasons the problem of import?

Please help me, thank you very much.

Finally, to solve the problem by myself.

a. force quit Lightroom 5

b. remove the file and the folder below:

1 /User/[username]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist

2 /users/ [username] / Library/Preferences/Adobe

c. re-open the 5 Lightroom

Now, everything's fine.

The video preview generate well and quickly import.

Hi, I managed to record some videos (coming from a VCR) with media Center. I would like to handle videos with software and then burn it to a DVD.

    Hello

See this FAQ Toshiba on saved files.

  • No Audio when you import videos in the timeline?

Hello everyone. I came across a problem that I can't get my head around.

I tried to import a set of videos I recorded Via an ingame recording software called Overwolf. The clips will work perfectly with audio on VLC + Windows Media Player drive. However, when you import videos to the Prime Minister to be edited, they do not have any audio file attached. I searched around other topics similar to this one and have had no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    OK, files not real camera.

Still think you should try the brake hand.

  • Cannot import videos using Photo Gallery - "the video device is currently in use"

original title: impossible to import the videos using Photo Gallery

Whenever I try to import a video with Photo Gallery, I get the message,

    "Importing video.

The video device is currently in use.  Close any other program that is using the device and try again.  If you need to start import video, turn off your import device and then turn on again. »

No other program does use the video device I can say.  I tried to restart my computer, but also a gallery of photos of uninstalling and reinstalling, but I can't seem to do anything other than give me this message.

I use Windows 7 64-bit.  I'm downloading an older video camera, using a firewire cable.

Anyone have any ideas?  Thank you!

Personally I remove sd card from the device and try this way.

Then click on the Start button and the computer.

Insert the sd card a sd card reader slot is available, if you need to buy one,

You can access the SDCard like any hard drive, it is the list, and then select open, do a right click

Manually, copy and paste the files into a new folder.

If it's an older device, you can try the factory site and search for win 7 drivers for the camera first.

You kind of mutilated the terms, but if the camcorder needs a firewire IEEE 1394, your PC cable card cannot accommodate a.  There may be some devices that claim to USB conversions, but normally, they will not work with a camcorder.  It seems that another PC is going to be necessary or another camera.

See if you can download the files to a folder on the desktop with the Finder or the transfer of images and try importing from there in the library.  If that works reformat the memory card in the camera, take a few test shots and try to re-import from there.

  • I cannot import video from an SD card in movie maker

I get an error message that says: I need to codec - is it possible that this is done automatically whenever I want to import video from my camera, my SD card or my pictures folder?

No, it is not automatic and it is possible that the
video is not compatible with Movie Maker.

What is the video format (extension)?

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

  • Cannot import anything in the timeline.

I just bought a new laptop today. and cs6 pp installed on it.

It seems to be a problem, I've never seen before, I can't import anything in the timeline to edit.

It's not even the usual audio/video tabs showing.

I use Windows 8, its an i7-3632QM Acer Aspire 2.2 ghz with turbo boost up to 3.2

Intel HD GRAPHICS 4000 with up to 1 760 dynamic video memory MB.

Someone I bougt garage the laptop just to make video stuff, and now I can't get anything done, can help please.

You have created a sequence in the project Panel? You will only be able to drag files to the timeline since you have a sequence in your project. If you do not have a sequence, just double click it to open his chronology.

Another way to automatically create image sequences must drag the item from the project Panel to the icon of a new element at the bottom of the Panel even. This will create the sequence and import are the images too.

  • Importing video in the first

Please forgive the question, but a novice at Adobe, when importing video in first CS5.5 files, why can't my video to go in the folder I want?  He always goes to the bottom of the list or just disappears.

    Thank you.

Instead of using the file > import, try just double click in the empty location to import.

  • Re: Satellite A100 - cannot get video off the LCD screen

Hi, I'm fixing a Satellite A100 for someone. I can't get the video on the LCD display, an external monitor, either the s-video port.
The system turns on and you hear the fans from the looks of the lights, the HDD seems to start windows.
I reinstalled the two RAM modules and tried to use the FN + F5, but no luck.

Is there a common problem with these machines?

    Thanks in advance.

    > Y at - it a common problem with these machines?
Sorry but I don't understand this question. I have 3 years old A100 (PSAA9E) and it works perfectly. If keyboard suddenly stop to answer should I think it may be a common problem with this model of laptop?

Back to your problem: FN + F5 will work if the operating system is fully loaded. You hear sounds? You don't see anything on the screen?
    Experiment with RGB port also.

  • Cannot open videos of the Sony CyberShot DSC - TX1 10.2 MP digital camera

I downloaded the camera in images, photos are OK, but I can't open the video captures.

    Hello

What happens when you try to view the videos?

How you try to access videos?

You try to access the videos on the computer or the camera?

Your computer requires the codec appropriate to view the video on the digital camera.  Most of the videos taken with a digital camera is stored in. AVI format.  Normally, you get the CD of the software supplied with the camera. Check if you have the software on the CD and install the same or try to access the site for manufacturer of digital camera and try to download and install the software or codec.

Please check the link and check if it helps.
