Cannot, in the start menu, Windows XP Home on my Satellite P200D edition installation

I have Satellite P200D-12f and I got from Vista Home Premium with laptop.
When I try to install Windows XP on another partition empty, and when I try to boot the CD with Windows Xp, laptop turns off after 10 seconds.

I tried several times, but the same thing happens every time.
Why is this happening?

I may be a protection for which I can't install anything except Vista?

Your problem is that you don't have the drivers for the SATA controller available when you move windows XP vanilla Plains. Without the SATA drivers, windows xp will not be able to see the partition that you created on the SATA drive.

Good luck, but I suggest that allow you to manage such things as you may turn your laptop a very expensive pouf your place of purchase.

I have a desktop HP Pavilion last month. I have a search engine, searchconduit.com, invading my OS. I ran Windows Defender Quick Scan and full Scan, do not show any threat. Hello

There is a good guide on this withdrawal on the following link.  I would just say using the method 1 related to ccleaner and MBAM - also please note that you must use the versions free of these 2 applications.

  • Cannot access the Start Menu - 6 Ultra

I realize there are other threads on this problem but mine is a little diiferent.

I just replaced memory in both my Ultra 6 s. The steps were:

    Ultra unit has

    Deletion of records

    New memory installed

A run the memory test (past)

    Replacement discs

    Fact

    Ultra B

    Deletion of records

    New memory installed

Could not access the Start Menu to run a memory test.

Shared memory of unit A and B of the unit (with 'good' memory)

Could not access the Boot Menu

Blank placed in drive B and turned on.

Could not access the Boot Menu

    Disk spent

Has started doing a factory reset to unit B

I pulled the plug when I saw "pending RAIDar.

So it seems to B unit works fine except that I can't access the Start Menu.

I guess that the reset button does not work on Unit B or is it possibly caused by something else?

    Here is my MAIN question:

What should I expect when I put the original disks to unit B?

I noticed that Studio B was assigned to a new IP address, so I'm a little unsure of what to expect.

Ah, that could be just a bad reset button.

  • Cannot access the calendar from Windows Vista Home Premium all of a sudden... get error message indicating it is disabled... Help, please!

After 1 year with the help of Windows Calendar on Vista Home Premium, I'm suddenly not able to use it (impossible to add new appointments and stored all appointments have mysteriously disappeared). I get a message saying "You cannot add appointments to a calendar that is disabled" the details of State "access denied." ... How is - it happened 'out of nowhere '? How to activate it? It's very frustrating... I searched the forums and Microsoft google the question. I found some results suggesting to either change the registry or download the fix automatically and manually merge in my registry. I tried both with no result. I have event tried to remove the old calendar and create a new one... still nothing. Any suggestions? Help, please!

    Hello NYintelligentinvestor,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Sorry, you have a problem with that.  What type of entry you are trying to add?

Look at the calendar and on the left side, to half way down you will see a small block that will have something like "NYintelligentivnestor schedule" - there is a small block to the left of this one. To activate the calendar, click on the box to place a check mark in it.

If there are calendar shown in this block, then go to "file" on the main toolbar and click on "new calendar" - one should then appears in a block with a check mark in the box on the left.

I hope this helps. Please let us know status.  Thank you! Engineer James Microsoft Support answers visit our Microsoft answers feedback Forum and let us know what you think.

  • Equium A60-692 - cannot open the start menu and keyboard problem

I have a problem starting my laptop A60-692 and I'm not near the points of service.

When I push the power button the screen goes through its startup routine gives her marching band welcome charge to the top of my desk.
But when I click on the start only the start window flashes for a split sec and remains standing. If I press the windows key on the keyboard I can then click on the start and the start window appears on the screen.

However if I open a program like note book or internet explorer, the keyboard will not and only gives a Bell sound when I use the keyboard. If I click Start, then shut down and click on restart the laptop turns off and then restart everything works fine!

It's very boring and tedious. I'struggled with this for a long time, although it was not like that when new.
Everyone had the same problem or have any advice to give?
    I would be very grateful!

    Concerning

    Hello

Believe me it is not easy to say what the problem is here.
I would like to know where the mouse you are using. Use you touch pad s notebook or external mouse?
If you use the s key to laptop please disable it with FN + F9 and test with an external mouse only.

What about the response of the keyboard? You can also try to test with external keyboard only. Only in this way you can see if this issue has something to do with the internal keyboard.
Please do some testing to see if this issues can be related to defective portable equipment.

  • Cannot install the drivers for Windows 7 Home overcharging.

    OT: pilots.

I bought a new hard drive. Re-install my windows 7 Home premium. I had no internet drivers so I install those wireless of my acer site. Still miss me driver, and now with my internet windows must be able to update. Whenever I hit the update via the web it says it's impossible. I don't know what to do because the acer site does not have the same names of those that I'm missing. His two drivers work of frame and the ethernet driver.

If family win7 premium shipped preinstalled with Acer, did not create the recovery media according to the instructions of Acer, which would have included all the drivers?

Updates of .net framework are not drivers

All the required drivers are obtained on the Acer support site, specific to your model

    Hello

I just reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop and I am trying to install the appropriate drivers.
Everything is fine except for the controller ethernet and networkcontroller.
Could you tell me where I can find these drivers and how to install?

Type of laptop: Toshiba Satellite A50-110.

I hope you got all the information you need, if not, please let me know.

    Kind regards
    Delirium

    Hello

All the drivers you need are available on the Toshiba support page > http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads > support home > scroll after download and go to download drivers.

Under product type, choose option Archives and subsequently your laptop model and as an operating system choose Windows XP Home edition.

Download driver driver LAN and extract it in a folder created on your desktop. After having done that, go into Device Manager and install the driver manually. When you navigate in the place where the driver is registered just browse to the folder where you extracted downloaded the driver.
    All that s.

You can use Windows Steady State, but he was supposed to have been removed from the MS Download Center by December 31, 2010, because Support for it will end June 30, 2011.
All that being said, it is always available on the Download Center and it's free – Windows SteadyState 2.5

  • Cannot access the start menu

I have a HP Pavilion m7590n. It was in the light of household use for about 4 years and finally the master hard drive died.  I thought that I would put in a new drive and while I'm at it install windows 7 as well.

The problem is that none of the F keys seem to work. I can't access all the settings of the bios or boot menu for I can boot from a CD.

The blue screen of the HP says that esc = Boot Menu F1 = Setup F10 = system recovery

None of these keys work. I tried every other F key without success and some good faith 4 different keyboards, including the USB one supplied with the computer. No idea what is the problem? Or what I am doing wrong?

I just need to boot from the windows 7 CD so I can install the operating system on the new hard drive.

Thanks for any help on the subject.

    Hello

You should be able to access the bios without a hard drive.  I disabled the sata ports in the bios for hard drives and I can always access the bios.

    Try this procedure:

Disconnect the PC and open it. Clean all the dust. Carefully, remove and replace all the cables towards the mother board one at a time. Do the same for memory DIMM and the video and the sound of cards if you have a.  You can buy a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the heatsink from the CPU.  Plug your PC back in and give it a go.

Try this procedure and see if you can locate the problem. Troubleshooting problems of energy supply. Do not skip steps.

  • at the start of Windows XP home, I get the error '0x7c919af2' and 0x00000010"something to do about memory

takes a long time to start and sometimes also freezesduring research

    Something like this:

Application error: the instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". Memory could not be "written".

It seems that the last update for Windows Media Player may contribute to this problem when the system has the Windows Driver Foundation Service active and running.

Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you should disable the WDF Service.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

Click OK to launch the Services Applet

Locate the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Service, right-click right the Service, select properties and choose disabled and OK your way out of the Services Applet to save the changes.

Note that you will not be able to 'Stop' Service first, but it's OK.

Restart your system (the WDF service is now disabled) and check your failure condition now
