Cannot install elements 10, serial number incorrect

I have correctly installed disc 1 and then realized that I should have installed disc 2 instead, since I am running Windows 7 64 bit. So, I disabled that I had installed, uninstalled and then tried to reinstall using disc 2. Now he says that my serial number is not valid. I tried all types of troubleshooting, I can find online. Trying to get help from Adobe was very difficult.

What should I do now?

I wish I knew that this disc 1 would be sufficient. Ended up having to do a technical support chat, which is shocking only took 10 minutes. Then, I was able to reinstall correctly.

On top of disc 2, it says "to install for Windows 7 64-bit: start with disk 2. He also says "install for Mac OS: start with a 3 disc.  It says nothing about disc 2 being for Apple computers or tests of items. Now that I have installed the disk 2 and am Windows 7 64 bit, I'm going to run into problems when you try to use the program? I also installed Premiere Elements using the 2 disc...

I don't want to turn off, etc. and go through this brand new if I don't have to. Thoughts?
