  • Cannot install Skype because impossible to uninstall

  • Cannot install Skype 6.18

For the past week or so I try to install the latest version of Skype on my computer laptop windows 7. Whenever I'm trying to update my computer crashes and continues to do so until I have start the computer in safe mode and restore to a point before that Skype has been installed. If I boot it normally following an accident it will crash once again as long as the software Skype is on my computer. Blue screen, it gives me after the crash said something about a system Service Exception, I don't have a pretty good look to see any useful information on the blue screen. I checked and all my drivers and programs are up to date, but no matter what I have installed the latest version of Skype causes my computer down. And go back to an older version and waiting for a new version or fix is therefore more a viable option now that the old versions eliminated summer, and they are no longer available for download anywhere anyway. Desperately need help, fixing this problem

    Try to start Skype.

  • Cannot install Skype because I can't uninstall the old version

This problem happened some time ago, but I didn't post it here

I had Skype version 6.9 and then there was an update to version 7.0, I tried to do the update, but it wouldn't let me for some reason any. There was a certain days until that my Skype would be more usable because of the version. After many days, I tried to remove and then reinstall the new version of the Web site. I downloaded it, but when I went to run it, it says that I can't install it because I need to uninstall Skype 6.9, I had already done. I have tried everything to uninstall the version 6.9, but none of them worked.

    Any suggestions?

  • I tried to switch from Firefox 5 to 8 of Firefox, but a message box indicates that I have insufficient privileges to install. How can I continue?

I received the alert to update Firefox, but during download and try to install, by moving the Firefox to the Applications icon, receive the message "insufficient privileges" box

If he has problems with the update or the permissions then simpler is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a clean install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the file on the desktop disk image (dmg)

    • Trash the present application Firefox to do a clean (re-) install
    • Install the new version you downloaded

Your profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you will not lose your bookmarks and other personal data if you uninstall and (re) install Firefox.

  • Insufficient privileges. I can't install Adobe Flash!

I can't install Adobe Flash Player due to insufficient privileges.

I'm the only one on my computer. I am the admin. I downloaded the Adobe Flash player.exe and right click 'run as Admin '.

Always said that I don't have sufficient privileges. It becomes so boring. Someone please help me with this task easy.

How to become admin with these sufficient privileges?

Solved, kind of...  At this point, I am confident that the problem was caused in fact viruses that I found on the computer.  Once I removed the viruses I then applied a restore point (I had to go back 30 days). Now, I could install Flash 11 and then re - apply Windows updates.

I was never determined the exact cause of the error, so I don't have any advice for someone who doesn't have to fall back on a restore point.

  • Cannot re - install Skype on Windows 8

I uninstalled Skype because it was in trouble, but when I go into the windows application store it says I already have this app and won't let me download again. How do I download Skype?

    Hello Xela007,

Here's how to install Skype again. Shop open, sweeping upwards slightly at the bottom, a bar at the top should appear, select your apps.

In your applications, there will be a drop down menu that says Apps not installed on this PC, change this for all applications. Find Skype in all applications, touch. It will get a check mark and at the bottom of the screen, you will have an option to choose Install, select it. This should install it Skype.

Please let us know if it works for you.

QUESTION: Why I can't connect to the new database with service_name = neworcl?

Net Oracle connections as sysdba usually require a password file. Have you created a password file for your database?

You can check the content of $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and see if you have a file named "orapwneworcl". If you do not, you can create it using the orapwd utility. Change your password for SYS in sqlplus must automatically synchronize the password in the password file. The password file is necessary for remote connections, since you cannot authenticate using the OSDBA group and the database may in fact not even begin to verify your password.

    For more details, see https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/dba007.htm

BTW, when you connect AS SYSDBA using Protocol inheritance, you can use any user name and password and will always connect to the SYS schema, which case authentication is made by the OSDBA group identifier. For example, you can use any user name and password, such as "humptydumpy/blablaba sqlplus as sysdba".
