  Sharing the fix in response to the post here:

  The 'Unknown error' error was due to the fact that underlying configuration of HFM with Foundation was broken and so HFM complained of another error, "the system cannot find the path specified".

  Then as an effort to solve the problem, in a scenario where I had to uninstall, reinstall and re-config component HFM which solved the problem.

• Impossible to remove an unknown account, get the error 'cannot delete the unknown account because this object inherits permissions from its parent.

  I have several programs that when I go to security there is an unknown account and when I try to delete unknown account I get this message that you cannot delete the Unknown(S-1...) account because this object inherits from its parent perssions. To delete the Unknown(S-1...) account, you must prevent this object from inheriting permissions. Turn off the option for the inheritance of permissions and then try to delete the Unknown(S-1...) account again. I tried the edit and advance features in respect of security without success. Why have I not control over security permissions?

  Found a solution to this problem.

  Go to the folder parent of the folder that contains the files with this unknown account number:
  1. right click on the PARENT folder, and then click Properties.
  2. on the Security tab, go to the advanced options (bottom window)
  3. in the new window, click the button change the permissions in the bottom.
  4. Select the Group (NOT AUTHENTICATED, just of users USERS) users
  5. check "replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable of this object.
  6. click on the OK button or apply and done, fixed number.

  Hope this helps anyone else having this problem, for me it happened after reinstallation of win 7 on the same machine and keep my images on another partition, so it was spared by the new facility, so the old user account was always on the file permissions.

• Cannot change the guest account group

  Long story short.  The guest account is somehow in the Administrators group.

  I use Windows Vista Home.

  When I am logged into the guest account and I look under the name he said administrator.  I'm going to change the type of account, it shows that it is in the standard group.  It won't let me even change for the management group.  It is in the Administrators group or what?  READ MORE that it gets better.

  When I'm on the command line and I type net user comments he says that membership in the local Administrators group.  Now, here's what I don't understand.  I do net localgroup guests comments / add and it will add to the guests group, and it is then in the customers and group administrators.  I can then do net localgroup guests comments/delete and it deletes it.  Now I CANNOT net localgroup administrators/delete comments because he says that it is not within the group, BUT if I net localgroup administrators comments / add that also says that he cannot do it because it's already in the Group?  That continues.  A I royally mess up something or it's a certain type of problem?  Please help me.  Thank you

  c. right-click Guest, and then select Properties.

  I activated the account "guest" and even tried to create a new.   It seems that you cannot change the administrator.

  Perform the steps mentioned below and see if it helps.

  a: Click Start and type gpedit.msc in the Start Search area and press on Enter.

  b: Navigate to the following location

  c: Under this click user rights assignment.

  d: Double-click access this computer from the network and verify that EVERYONE is added to the list.

  The "Test" account was probably the original ' administrator' account until you have renamed it. It cannot be deleted. You can find as follows:

  1. Click on the globe to start, and then type the three letters cmd into the search box and press ENTER.
  2. Type these commands and press ENTER after each:
     net users
     (to see a list of all accounts)
     NET user test
     (to see all the details for the test account)
  Anyway, as one admin account is a bad idea, even than having just a key to the House. What would you do if something was wrong with this single account? At all times, you should have two accounts admin fully tested and documented.

  You cannot use a Standard (Local) account to change the administrator account. You can only use an administrator for this account.

  Open the control panel (place the cursor on the bottom/left corner of the screen... and right click, select Control Panel from the menu

  In Control Panel, select user accounts.

  Select Manage another account.

  This will show all the user accounts on the computer. If there is an administrator account, it will show this designation.

  To log off and log on with an administrator account.

  Back to the account user/screen control.

  Select Manage another account , then select the Standard account you want to change.

  Select the option Change the account Type .

  Select the administrator option to change the account and click Change the account Type .

  If there is no other administrator account, let know us and we can try another method of recovery.

  I have a script to create user in AD and assign the user in the Group (same account name in WCC with sign @). I integrate successfully the AD with WLS. The user and group are already in WLS. The problem is when I connect in WCC, the user is not tie with account even I already created the account with the same name I created in AD. I try to make the credential mapping at WCC also does not work. I tried before in Windows, it works well, but when I apply the same configuration on Linux, the user connect has no account at all. Here is my configuration:

  1. I have create group which is the account name as @aibb_002 (RW) in AD.

  2. I link A user in this group. With success at WLS.

  3. I create the name of the account to the WCC as aibb_002

  4. I log in as user A, but UserA cannot see the document with the aibb_002 account.

  Then, I tried to make the credential mappings

  1. I go to the server of the University Complutense of MADRID-> identification cards and put the name of the card.

  2. Enter the mapping like this:

  @aibb_002 (RW), aibb_002

  3. I navigate to < domain_home > / ucm/cs/data/suppliers/jpsuserprovider and open provider.hda and enter ProviderCredentialsMap = < name of the map as in step 1 >

  4. Once restarted, also cannot work...

  I missed a few steps that I don't realize, or there is nothing wrong with my setup? I tested under Windows before but everything works fine...

  Really need your help...

  Check first on WLS - security - providers, that your AD provider is on the top of the list and the flag is set to chat. If so, check the default authenticator indicator (it should be second in order) is the sufficient value as well.

  If this order is not followed then the users and groups / AD accounts or any other provider will not be in service to the server of the University Complutense of Madrid.

  After the change is made, restart wls admin and ucm managed server.

  I am trying to add my Google account to synchronize contacts and calendars on my Mac. When I go to Internet accounts and add the Google account, I am stuck in the login screens. • Cannot remove the iCloud account / an unknown error has occurred

  My iMac started having weird errors on mail.  It started when I started to post and all my accounts were gone.  I tried to re - add, but it hung on the iCloud account.  Doing some research, I found suggestions to check my settings to iCloud.  When I checked preferences, only Photos has been verified, and when I tried to activate all the others, they were immediately disabled. I tried a disconnect... and he'd let me say that I had to remove my first iCloud email account. Go to preferences of Internet, my icloud account has been marked inactive, but wouldn't let me remove it.

  Then, I went to my iPad and verified devices on iCloud and removed my iMac, hoping that this would fix it. (I had stopped the iMac so it would not automatically recognize itself.)  From my iMac I am preferences iCloud ti, and the account was exactly the same, still couldn't delete mail account iCloud internet accounts and when I tried switch off and return to the front he iCloud parameters, I received a message "an unknown error has occurred."

  The iMac is my main machine, so I want a little to get this working again once... Any suggestions?  Is there anything I can check in the console logs for more data about the error?
