Cannot load Windows Virtual PC on Windows 7 Professional

I have recently updated our laptop to Windows 7 Professional and it seems to work very well.  Then I tried to download the file for Windows Virtual PC. When I click on step one - print screen flashes and does nothing.  What is going on?  I checked the hardware-assisted virtualization and the motherboard has the feature turned on.  Help.  Thank you!!

    Hello

I see that you have a problem in the installation of new Windows USB port. It seems that your HDD was not detected, right? It's because your laptop uses a SATA HDD.

what you need to do are:

    1. download the driver AHCI SATA website of intel. (just google it)

    2. copy the files (size 700 KB for 6 files) into the new USB

    3. reboot and install your laptop with win 7 (dvd/usb)

    4. by the time win 7 installation reached the drive to install (none detected), click load drivers.

    5. now load your other USB SATA drivers.

    6. then will show all disks in your system.

    7. continue with the installation process.

    hope this helps.

  • Blue Screen of death - now cannot load Windows (even in safe mode)

Laptop last night (Satellite L500-19Z;) Win 7 64 bit) crashed while playing CIV4. Had a blue screen of death. before I had the chance to read one of the error messages about the computer restarted.

It loaded windows in SafeMode very well then and informed me that he had loaded OK the problem safe mode will be linked to some recently installed software and I should uninstall programs I had installed until it loads normally. As it was late last night I closed and thought I would sort the morning (with the benefit of hindsight it may have been a mistake...).

Today, when the computer tries to start, it tries a startup repair; Unfortunately it does not work every time and it says "Startup Repair tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem"

I looked at the paper it produces, but it passes all of the individual tests.

I can't access also advanced recovery options system & support, that appears in the Startup Repair dialog box as it requires that I be connected, which apparently I am not (probably the machine never got to the windows screen connection before attempting repair system). The error message reads "you must be logged to access system recovery options. If you encounter problems to connect, please contact your computer administrator for help. Please click OK to restart the computer. »

I had a go at the start in the advanced options (safe mode, safe mode with command etc., but the result is the same).

I also tried the repair of your computer to the screen option options advanced boot, but after the screen where it asks you to choose the language and keyboard, I get the same error of connection mentioned above.

Is it possible to repair or even run windows based hard drive recovery (do not have the DVD of recovery with me as I'm away from home for a few weeks) without connecting to windows? I expected here, but have not yet find a way to do it.

(there is no disc in the disc drive, no other devices connected to the laptop - I tried with power outlet and the battery and have not noticed differences)

    Thank you
    James

    Hello

Pitty, you cannot retrieve the HEXADECIMAL code
On this side, I think that your HD or registry is damaged and you have to reinstall the entire system

    Good luck

  • Cannot load Windows 7 - Satellite C660 guard freezing

    Hello world.

This is a biggy. I have a Toshiba AMD Vision Satellite C660 / C660D laptop without Windows installation disc. Last week, it has become very slow, the interface resembles that of the interface of safe mode, then finally, he became completely unresponsive, therefore, through F8 on start-up I selected the option to return to the factory settings (I have this option)

The BACK screen appeared and started normal loading then who responded, then I rebooted only to see Windows starts for the first time and carry the load, before that I had to create a cd boot from my other laptop to reboot the system that I had lost the boot mngr.

The last part of the installation process begins whereby a white Toshiba screen appears with a green progress bar which is responsible for some drivers (see attachment). There are 39 steps to this process and I remember before the computer should keep restart itself, but it keeps freezing after about two steps. I kept turning it off and eventually the locked system administrator accounts.

Once more, I restarted the PC, but this time in safe mode, the operating system did in fact load in safe mode and I created a few new accounts with administrator privileges, however, I still cannot load all of the operating system because it keeps freezing during the last part of the process.

I have very limited knowledge of loading operating systems, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

First of all, it was a big mistake NOT to create a recovery disk Toshiba.
The recovery of HARD drive that you were able to start pressing F8, is only possible if the HARD drive is not defective.
I think in your case I think that there is something wrong with the HARD drive because there was a Bishop of startup notification which means that this laptop can not find a boot manager to boot the system.

I have no other idea about trying to reinstall the system using the Toshiba Recovery disk or another drive in Windows 7 (of course if you have one)
If the recovery fails, you will need to investigate on how much material could be affected. I think in this case it of needed to start with HARD disk check.
Possibly the HARD drive needs to be replaced. Of course it is possible that I m wrong part is affected, but at the first step you should check the new installation of the OS.

A recovery disc can be ordered here:

  • Cannot load Windows 8 Appstore

I'll try to open the app store, but it gets stuck just loading forever. After some time, he will say something on it does not either due to a server error or network has expired. But I know that's not my internet because I fast fiber WiFi

    Hello

Since when are you facing the issue?

There could be several reasons why you cannot open Windows store. It could be because of the proxy connection or any what third-party antivirus or because of the cache store.

I suggest you follow these methods and check.

    Method 1:

    Disable the proxy connection

If you use a proxy connection, and then follow the steps to turn off the proxy connection.

    a. click on the gear box in the upper right corner in Internet Explorer.

    b. click on Tools and then click Internet Options.

    c. click on the connections tab, and then click LAN settings.

    d. uncheck it use a proxy server for your LAN box.

    e. click ok.

    Method 2:

    Disable the third-party antivirus software

If you have any third-party software installed on the computer, then I suggest you to disable the antivirus software and check.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3:

I suggest you to clear the cache to store and check.

Follow these steps to do so.

    (a) on the screen, press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

    (b) type WSReset.exe and press enter.

  • Laptop cannot load Windows 7

After attempting to clear the password at startup in the BIOS I was going into a more serious problem. Whenever I try to turn on my laptop it appears a black screen saying: "cannot start Windows. A recent hardwqare or software change might be the cause. "And there are two options, repair and start Windows normally. So I chose the repair, but it just goes to another black screen saying "Windows was able to start" and has instructions on how to "fix" the problem. At the bottom it says "status: 0 x 0000225 Info: the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible. Also, when I pres "Start Windows normally" the Windows 7 Logo flashes and then after a second, it allows just the black screen, I described above.

Here's what I think has caused:
When I was trying to get into the BIOS, I entered another Menu by pressing F10. It is the recovery of the system, according to me. Then he said something on three partitions. I used to have three partitions, a Local, recovering HP and one for my records. But then I got rid of the partition for recording and has developed at a Local level. So, I am confused on why he said there were three partitions. The system recovery may have done something for the operating system. When I press F8 and go into options it also leads to the black screen, especially the Safe Mode.

    Thank you!
I need to fix this ASAP, and I am not system restore I have many family Photos.

    Hello

If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7.  Download the ISO relevant among the links below.

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  One time created, or if you already have this, insert the rescue CD in Notepad and restart at the start of it.  Select repair your computer and choose the command prompt.  When this charge, enter the following commands and press on enter after everyone – including spaces as shown.

    DiskPart

    list disk

select disk x (where x is the number of the disk to the partition is on - probably 0 (zero))

    partition from the list

Post back with all the details of all the partitions that are shown.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot load Windows 7 using Boot Camp

I am also unable to load Windows 7 on my MacBook using Boot Camp. When Boot Camp prompts Windows Setup disc, I put in the disc of Windows 7 Edition complete software Home Premium that I bought, and then my MacBook again request the Windows Setup disk and ejects the disc of Windows 7 Home Premium. On my MacBook, I have OS X version 10.8.2 and I've updated memory to 4 GB. What I am doing wrong?

Delete and re-create the Boot Camp partition. If this does not work, use the Boot Camp Assistant to create a bootable copy on USB and use it to boot from to start the installation.

  • Cannot install Windows 7 Professional. Problems with partitions.

I have a problem installing WIN 7 Pro, I think that I managed to install a re - install Win 7 ultimate disc that came with my DELL laptop. As the disc, I guess that for a single use, something happened to prevent its use. Unfortunately I cannot start my new Zoostorm ACPI x 64-based PC successfully because windows will in the repair attempt, but can not correct now.
When I load the new Windows 7 pro, I get that, where you want to install windows, where

The detail shows: Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. Windows must be installed on a partition formatted in NTFS.  Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. The partition is a partition of EFI (ESP) system.
Disk 0 Partition 2; total size: 128 MB; Free space: 128 MB; Type: SC (reserved). The warning on this is: Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. The partition is a partition MSR (Microsoft Reserved).
Disk 0 Partition 3; total size: 698,4 MB; Free space: 670MB; Type: primary. The warning on this is: the partition might contain recovery, system files or software files important computer manufacturer you. If you format this partition, all data will be lost.

On the three I haveoptions: Refresh; Delete; Format or load drivers.

I think I can segment the readers already, so don't want to do it again.
I can't start windows successfully, cannot use the update option.
If you have any ideas on this one I would be most grateful. Best regards Steve

Yes, you must delete all partitions, this will ensure that you will be able to start a clean slate with Windows 7 Professional.

  • Cannot install Windows XP Professional x 64 on Inspiron N7110

I have problems installing Windows XP Professional x 64 on my N7110. I get this error: "a problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. "Technical information * STOP: 0x0000007B (0xFFFFFADF938323C0, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0 x 0000000000000000, 0 x 0000000000000000)."

    Hardware specifications:

    i5 - 2430M

    4 GB OF RAM

    HARD DRIVE 640 GB

    GeForce GT 525M

    BIOS A07

I thought it was a bug in the BIOS so I went to download the latest version of BIOS and to my surprise, it was the version A06. Does this mean A07 was buggy and Dell returned to A06?

I also found this page http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=266327 that says N7110 BIOS A05 and A06 have lots of bugs ACPI but N5110 has not. This is perhaps related to my problem?

    Thanks in advance

If a version of BIOS for a bug is detected, Dell normally does not 'pull'... that they usually emit an A08 to fix.

Your blue screen is related to your storage driver.  XP cannot access SATA drives, you will need to load the driver for the SATA controller:
    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&DwnldID=19607&ProdId=3321&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%20XP%2064-bit%20Edition * & DownloadType = drivers

XP cannot get these drivers by diskette at the F6 prompt during the installation of Windows, so, unless you have a USB floppy drive and floppy, you will need to use nLiteOS.com to integrate the driver of your installation media.  This will create a new CD to install XP.

Keep in mind that not all modern hardware is compatible with XP - XP is not a modern OS and you may have trouble getting all your devices to work properly under XP (64-bit, no less, who was quite unstable itself compared to 32-bit).

  • How can I load windows xp professional on my g72-250us?

I bought a windows xp pro (sp2) and the driver ahci integrated and tried to load it on my laptop g72-250us (it came originally with a 64-bit windows 7)...

When I try to boot from the xp pro cd, after loading the driver page it blue screens.

can someone guide me pls on how to load windows xp pro on my laptop.

I do not think that the G72 series uses a controller ICH9M-E/M. do you run CPUZ as suggests to find the correct driver? Dan has a more comprehensive guide mainly on CPUZ and SATA drivers HERE

  • [Workstation 12] Cannot install Windows 10 Professional x 64 (RESOLVED)

I think it would be a pretty normal scenario but I can't finish one out of the box of Windows 10 Professional x 64 installation.

    1. I mount my ISO and read the notification "Could not detect which operating system is in this image to disk." and click Next.
    2. I chose Windows 10 x 64 that the version since it is what it is, and then choose the location.
    3. I choose the type of BIOS firmware as EFI would not work.
    4. I choose 1 processor with 2 hearts.
    5. I chose 8192 MB RAM.
    6. I chose NAT for networking.
    7. I chose LSI Logic SAS because it's my only choice, the two other State not supported.
    8. I chose (recommended) SCSI
      1. I also tried IDE
      2. I also tried SATA

Installation of Windows 10 starts and basically, it runs until it asks for a driver, probably because he feels like he can't install on a disk. I mounted the ISO VMware tools to see if he had any useful drivers, but it did not.

I then installed again and point 8, I chose SATA and it did not have a difference however run diskpart shows that a drive is available! I've added another car also, an IDE, the same hard drive, now I see two drives but I can not install either!

What everyone by installing Windows 10? I expect, it is a breeze as all the other BONES, and considering how many people are commenting on VMware with Windows 10, I can't wait for each VMware Workstation user jumped through hoops to make it work... it's frustrating!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Your image ISO of Windows 10 is almost certainly corrupt.  Check the size of the file and the MD5 or SHA1 checksums against those who are posted to the Microsoft Download page and maybe download a new copy.

12 workstation will not report "not able to detect which operating system is in this disk image" for a picture of Windows 10 ISO complete and valid.

    See you soon,.

  • Qosmio F - cannot load Windows or anything

Yesterday, while studying the other day outside another student struck the table on what I was studying. I would say 'typed' as it was not so difficult. The normal message where it says that the laptop will move the hard drive to a place course, etc..

Shortly after maybe 10-20 minutes, I get a message on the screen of the laptop asking me to 'save the laptop', because there was a major error or failure. I clicked on the 'further information' and he said basically all my C:, G: readers and everything I had failures of the disc or something. Not able to backup of the laptop as I have no CD present themselves to back up with I got it home I do today.

The laptop won't load even in windows at the moment. Cannot back up or anything like that. Custody of loading in the options of the system repair, restore, etc. memory diagnostics help nothing.

I only bought the laptop since oct/nov 2010. NA not start using it until January/February of this year. Should I try to open the disk HARD as he might have loosened out back or? Should I send it to the manufacturer to look? It's time for critical review for me and that's devastating! Also flight overseas late June after exams and wishing to take the laptop out there. Help, please! Thanks for all the tips and suggestions.

    Hey Kyo,

Your ad is a little hard to understand and a screenshot of the error message would be useful, but if you get a message on the failed HARD drive and all partitions, please contact a service provider authorized in your country.

Your laptop should still be under warranty, so guys can replace the HARD drive for free. If you need some important data, you can ask if they can save some files and make a backup. An alternative you can try it yourself if you buy a box for example external HARD disk. Then you can connect the USB HARD drive on another computer.

  • Cannot load Windows 7 after installation of 2 critical updates (KB2436673 & KB2296199) - 0x800f0816 error Code

At 03:00 today, my computer automatically up-to-date with 8 updated reviews.  The computer unused satellite, power, up to 15:00 when I got home, date on which windows was trying to 'fix', because windows could not be loaded.  I did a system restore to a point before the updates were installed (02:00).  Goodbye My observer of events and concluding that none of the updates have been installed correctly, I have taken note of the errors for each (most were 0x800f0816, but we've been 0 x 80242016) and went through each update individually and install.  Two of these updates will not be installed.  After the system restart after installing, windows attempts to load.  The system automatically restarts and begins to repair windows.  Windows repair indicates that the system cannot be repaired automatically.  I chose a restore point from before the 'bad' updates are installed, and everything is fine.

I get the same error for the two KB2296199 of KB2436673 & failed installs: 0x800f0816.

Is it possible to fix this?  Or I'm just not going to install it these updates?  It is a newly built computer (last week), all the new kit stripped of equipment, new OS.  I have very little installed on this system.  I found no information regarding this error code or the latest MS updates online, or if anyone else has similar problems.

Any response would be appreciated.  Thank you!

    J.

Of course, if you cannot start the computer, uninstall the updates would be moot & system restore (or 'last good' known) would be your only recourse.

    Again, see http://www.microsoft.com/security/pypc.aspx
