Cannot log on to any user account in vista!

I cannot log in as guest and all user accounts to work in mode safe mode, but when I try to log on to a normal user account, it says welcome, then blinks and said disconnecting, can anyone help? Online virus scanners, ran clear at all.

1. go to Safe Mode.
Shut down your computer > turn it back on and immediately and repeatedly press F8 key until you see a black and white screen. The top/down arrow and select Safe Mode

In safe mode, do a system restore. Choose the date where you did NOT have this newspaper to the problem as your restore point.
Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, click
> Next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done
.

2. start a virus scan. Make sure that your computer is clean.

3 run a filesystem check. It's to look for corrupt files. If found, it will try to fix them if possible.

Start button > Search box type cmd > look up, do a RIGHT click on cmd.exe > click run as
Administrator
> in this window cmd black and white, at the flashing prompt, type sfc/scannow > press the ENTER key.
Note: there is a space between 'sfc' and ' / '.

  • Logging on to the user account

I tried to connect to my computer at home today however, he did not accept my password.  I don't have I changed password so I'm not sure why this problem occurred.  There is only one account on the computer, so I don't know how to log on to the computer at all.

The error msg I get is the following:

The user profile Service service has no logon.
    User profile cannot be loaded.

This error can usually be fixed by following the steps below. All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

1 log on to a different user account with administrative privileges. If you neglected to make an account additional administrative steps 2-3. Otherwise, continue to step 4. See also General information on setting up user accounts in Vista at the end of this post.

2 in Mode safe boot. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. That you will get to the menu on the right where you can use your arrow key to select Mode safe [Enter]. The built-in Administrator account is disabled by default in Vista. However, if no other administrative accounts exist on the system it can be activated. If this is the case, you will see an icon for the administrator on the homescreen mode without failure. Login to the administrator.

3 If you don't see the icon for the administrator mode safe account, then the built-in Administrator account is always disabled so you will need to work more.

    a. If you have a Vista DVD installation (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [Enter]

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD, you can do a repair file Vista bootable DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD.

Now remove the rescue CD/DVD, you have done, reboot Windows and log on to the built-in Administrator account, you enabled.

    4. try a system restore to when things worked. If you can log in to your user account, you are finished. Otherwise, continue to step 5.

    5. the critical files are under % systemdrive%\users\user-account\ntuser. The ntuser.dat file is actually a registry hive. Run Regedit high and select HKEY_USERS and "load hive" in the menu. Now, go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

There is a line for each profile. If a profile is bad, check:

    (a) that the name of the key does not stop in ".bak" (remove .bak If it)
    (b) that the RefCount value is 0 (change it if it is different)
    (c) that the State value is 0 (change if different)

Make the necessary changes, close Regedit and try to connect as this user.

    6. If that doesn't solve your profile, it is corrupt. At this point you can either make a new user account and copy your data on it or simply make a new user account and delete the old a corrupt. Do not delete the old account until you have recovered data you need! Post back if you need help by creating a new user account and copy of data to it.

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is an OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  • How solve 'cannot log in to my administrator account on Windows vista?

I try to change my password in safe mode. but seems still does not...

You can change your password to something that you remember another administrative user account. If you had only an administrative user account and you have forgotten the password, all is not lost. You can then follow the general recommendations for implementing user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]
NET user [insert here the name of your user account] [insert the new password of user as 1234 here] [press Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to connect to your user account by using the password that you set; for example, 1234.

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

Once you have fixed things, log on to the additional administrative account you will be made by the suggestions below and disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments.

It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. • Cannot add blank screen Standard user accounts

Hello.  I recently added a Standard user in Vista Business.  When I logged in this account, he said it was "Preparing Desktop" for a few minutes then indicates that she has been put in place personal settings in Microsoft Windows Mail 7 and produces an error message saying "Windows mail could not be started because MSOE." DLL cannot be initialized. "Note that I don't even use Windows Mail.  I clicked ok and it sat for a few minutes and then gave me a blank screen.  Now if I connect to this user account, it just goes straight to a white screen.  If I change the rights of a Director, it works fine.  Back to a standard user, and I get a blank screen.  I hit CTRL + ALT + DELETE to the blank screen and run explorer.exe but that does nothing.  I started in safe mode and it does not work.  I ran make System File Checker (SFC) and it found no errors.  I restored back a few weeks, but that has not helped.  This can be a problem for a long time that I have never tried to add another user before.  I have the same problem if I turn on the guest as a standard user account.  Admin account all the works and any standard account does not work.  I searched the forums and cannot find a solution for this problem.

    Hello

I suggest you try the following steps to refine the question:

Step 1: Disable security software, follow the steps mentioned below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Important: Activate security software once everything is done.

Step 2: Check with another standard user profile

If you do not have a different user account, you will need to create a (see link below).  If everything works fine with a different user profile, you can infer that the user profile is damaged, click on the link to find out how to solve this problem.

  • Lost access to the programs, not a virus or registry problem. Lost the rights to the user (?) but cannot access restore or modify user accounts

1st, I tried almost every fix suggested on this relatively common problem with no joy.  It is not a virus, unless it's something very new not found by all the usual scanners.

Only way to access the programs EXE is to run the command prompt by going to with CTRL - tour of the new task (run) in the Task Manager menu and then navigate to the appropriate directory and run the program from the command prompt.   Run virus checker and run various registry fixes recommended here with no joy.  Safe mode does not help with the launch of the EXE.

Because I get the 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.  When I try to run an exe from a link, I think I have lost the user privileges.  But, since I can't change the accounts of users or the restore, I can't try to do anything there.

This problem occurred after uninstalling several old unused programs followed by performing a disk defragmentation.  (everything is done using Microsoft System Tools).  PC worked after doing these things in vain after the next reboot.

Curiously, I CAN start the web browser from the start menu to post this message.

Another clue: I can't start programs by clicking on them, but I CAN run the program by opening a file type associated with this program, i.e., opening a file named text.doc will cause Word to open.

I am a fairly experienced user, but I'm stumped.  Any suggestions?

    Found solution...

Looked user accounts change program but cannot find or identify it was so impossible to try it.

I was finally able to identify (in trial & error) the restore program and run it using the command window.

The program (rstrui.exe) was found in C:\Windows\System32\Restore\rstrui.exe

I was able to run and to restore to a date when this problem started and that fix.   Still don't know what was the problem of the root but happy to be able to fully use this PC back again.

Thank you to everyone who made suggestions.

  • Black screen after logging in to the user account

Hi, I hope someone can help me?
After I start my computer, I get to the login page of user account, I select my user account, after that, the Welcome screen appears for about 15 seconds then my screen turns off completely. I've discovered since I manually launch Explorer.exe with ctrl, alt, del and run the new task from Task Manager, whenever I connect - which is obviously not ideal!  This only started 3 days ago and I think it can happen when I inserted an SD card in someone elses computer in my own to upload photos, when I tried to log in the next day, that's when the problem started.
How can I prevent that from happening in the future and he can start on login?
I am running Windows Vista 32-bit operating system on a HP pavilion slimline.

    Hi Bearsby1972,

Thanks for posting on the forums.

I strongly suggest that you start backing up your files now, just in case. After you have saved your machine, try to run the System File Checker and restore your system prior to 3 days if possible.

    From Article

How to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212/

    The System File Checker tool

To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. click Startand type cmd in the box start the search .

2 right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator.

    Collapse this includes this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue

    3. at the command calls, the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved. If the problem you are experiencing is not resolved, use the procedure that is described in the section "the System Restore tool.

    The System Restore tool

Other troubleshooting methods, such as using the System File Checker tool, cannot solve the problem. If they do not resolve the problem, and the problem you are experiencing started occurring recently, you can use the System Restore tool. Using this tool, you can restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. click on start toreduce this includes this image, type System Restore in the Search box, and then click System Restore in the programs list.

    Collapse this includes this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point, and then click Next.

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    4. click on Finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

Hope that will solve your problem, please post back and let us know.

    Hi B Pick,

Thanks for posting us the Forum of community of answers.microsoft.com.

Since he had been some time since your last post, we marked this as resolved.  Recently I saw messages and found that you had posted about it recently.  Sometimes if a thread shows solved it do not get reviewed again, so, my apologies, it took some time to answer.

A point of interest in considering the issue of "unable to create a user account having administrative rights" is can create you an account that has no administrative rights from another account and then you use that has administrative rights?  Information Justin had submitted and information, I'm reviewing, it would be very beneficial for our steps in troubleshooting to have this documented as being verified.

You would present to us in the forum if this is something you are able to accomplish in a new administrative account that you create for this system?

In another order of ideas, it would be that there are suspicious software loaded on the system.  Try running scan of Virus and malware removal tool.
