  UPDATE - I was able to successfully install "Java SE 6 Runtime" by updating my Mac OS X version 10.9.2.  After updating my Mac OS X, I started Dreamweaver and received the same error message, but this time when I clicked on "install", he proceeded with the installation, and I was able to run Dreamweaver.

  Thanks for your help. I finally cracked. {tech support guy who set up my Mac for some strange reason renamed HDD {"/ /"}} * % no, I'm not swearing, he just decided to rename symbols such as random. Dreamweaver cannot open files that have symbols as their path name (I understand adobe dreamweaver help pages java script). As you can just rename a hard drive, I had to reformat my hard drive and start again at zero, but everything works fine now!

  Hello! I have a problem with the version of Dreamweaver CS4. All CS4 programs work OK but just Dreamweaver does not open. The splash screen is displayed and that's all. Nothing happens. I use 32 bit Win Vista Business edition on my laptop. Does anybody know a solution for this? Thanks in advance!

  The program was well last night. This morning, the spinning wheel of death appeared. Close without any problems.

  Tried, without success, to find preferences by going to the library > Application Support > Adobe

  Recently updated to Yosemite 10.10 on this machine:

  MacBook Po 2.3

  Processor: Intel Core 17 GHZ

  Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

  Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M 1024Mo

  Finally solved the problem.

  The first person to Apple is unable to understand what was going on. He proposes to backup all my files before (which I should have done before the first date). Dreamweaver could launch by a guest simply not for me.

  Returned this morning and after 30 minutes of trying different things, he asked if I had installed recently all the new fonts. I bought a new policy last week, asterism, and he asked permission to restore the Apple font book. He has restored the font manager of the operating system to the origin and Dreamweaver settings!

  I use Suitcase Fusion to manage fonts. But the problem is somehow that fonts system became corrupted during the launch of dreamweaver.

• Cannot open the PDF in Dreamweaver

  I am unable to open the PDF of Dreamweaver files, but I can access a PDF file of my part in the car.  I use Microsoft Office 7, DreamWeaver CS6 and Adobe Acrobat X Pro operating system.  I can correspond to the links and overview.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you, Karen

  Dreamweaver cannot open PDF. You can create links to the PDF file, but you need Acrobat or similar applications to open and view PDF files.

• Dreamweaver CS5.5 cannot open most files outside the ~/Sites

  Recently, I've migrated to a MBP under Snow Leopard for a Lion running. CS5.5 has moved from the old machine to the new as well as all the files.

  Now when I try to open HTML files that are not in the folder hierarchy ~ / Sites, Dreamweaver usually fails to open. There are two General scenarios:

  1. No error is displayed if I right click and open with Dreamweaver;
  2. a "file not found" error if I try to open it from inside Dreamweaver by using the file > > Open or using the files pane in the Dreamweaver UI.

  Not all the files fail to open. Some old HTML files can be opened. However, it is not as simple as to open files that were created before the migration, and not after - most of the files that I'm unable to open have been created before the migration. (I am unable to open any created later).

  What I've tried so far:

  • Repair permissions using the disk utility.
  • Check permissions to see if there's a different visible.
  • Reset the PRAM.
  • Delete the cache PCD [it was to solve a problem with Acrobat Pro out immediately at the start without error].
  • Relocation complete CS.

  Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

  I found the cause of this problem.

  On OS X, if any folder name in the directory path contains a vertical bar ("|"), Dreamweaver cannot open files at a lower level.

  This applies to at least CS3 and CS5.5 on Lion.

  I changed the value of LUA allow from '1' to '0' and the Dreamweaver.exe now opens files problem-free installation! I can now open my trial version of Dreamweaver.

• help with JavaScript errors when opening Dreamweaver CC

  Since 3 days when I opened Dreamweaver CC on my Mac OS 10.8.5, I have 2 different JavaScript errors: "InternalError: unexpected end of data", and "InternalError: cannot decode JSPrincipals" Dreamweaver seems to work ok, with the exception of copy / paste, but couldn't find a way to clean up the errors.

  Ahh... found, had to use go and type in ~/library to get there. Thank you!

• Cannot open downloaded applications

  Cannot open downloaded applications.    I can see the files in the program folder (windows 7), but do not see the icon of the .exe, nor do I see the applications listed with my other programs.  When I try to update these programs using the app Manager it errors.  I had downloaded these programs, but before opening my computer restarted * dreamweaver, photoshop, illustrator). I am able to us other programs that I downloaded from OK.   Just not these 3.  Any ideas?  Thanks - dave

  The error occurs usually when applications have been removed without using the uninstall programs.  You have a type of system utility that comes to your computer to a previous state?

  You can try to download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager of http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773.  Also what currently installed Adobe Creative Software?

  After downloading and installing, I get the message "Cannot open Adobe Dreamweaver CS 6 application because it is not supported on this type of Mac." This is strange, because Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. have been installed in the same way from the creative clouds and are okay.

  What can I do?

  You receive errors during the download and installation process?  You can also try to remove Dreamweaver download trial and the license then choosing this software option.  You want then enter your Adobe ID linked to your creative cloud subscription.

  Either a problem with the mail server or your internet connection.

  If you use the Mail of Mac application (not the email based on the web via a browser), open the messaging application.
