  When you set up my new Macbook, I chose to have the iCloud to load all the files from my Mac desktop, which includes Adobe CS5 software. I have earlier started working on a Web site and tried to open Dreamweaver on my Macbook and received this error message:

  No document types have been found in the Configuration/DocumentTypes folder. The MMDocumentTypes.xml file may be missing or currupted. Now leave the application.

  I could use some advice as to what it means.

  First turn it off under the Help menu of DW of one of the installation of the system back and you'll be fine.

• Cannot open Dreamweaver because of the error of Java.

  I click on "install" and the message "the software is currently unavailable.  To install a Java SE 6 runtime later, open Dreamweaver again. »

  I installed the update from apple (which is "Java for OS X 2013-005") as suggested from reading the other posts on this topic and the following message: "Java for OS X 2013-005 cannot be installed to this disk.  An error has occurred all in assessing the JavaScript for the package. »

  I'm on OS X 10.8.5 and Dreamweaver CS6.

  UPDATE - I was able to successfully install "Java SE 6 Runtime" by updating my Mac OS X version 10.9.2.  After updating my Mac OS X, I started Dreamweaver and received the same error message, but this time when I clicked on "install", he proceeded with the installation, and I was able to run Dreamweaver.

  Thanks for your help. I finally cracked. {tech support guy who set up my Mac for some strange reason renamed HDD {"/ /"}} * % no, I'm not swearing, he just decided to rename symbols such as random. Dreamweaver cannot open files that have symbols as their path name (I understand adobe dreamweaver help pages java script). As you can just rename a hard drive, I had to reformat my hard drive and start again at zero, but everything works fine now!

• Cannot open the CS5.5 in CS6

  I had a few CS5.5 - INDD of a partner. Some of them I can open it, others can't. CS6 inDesign freezes and must be closed. I can reproduce this problem on a Windows 7 64-bit and a computer Mac OS X Lion with two Creative CS6 InDesign clouds.

  I asked another colleaugue to open files in CS5.5 to register as IDML. It can open files without problems and create an IDMLs. When she sent me these IDML however, I get the same problem as at the opening of the INDD: InDesign freezes.

  I have tried several things to get open (IDML CS5.5 or INDD) files:

  * Reset the presets file

  * Disable plugins

  * Restart machines

  CS6 two facilities are up-to-date. Is anyone else having a similar problem with CS5.5 CS6 incompatibility or any ideas on the subject?

  Would be - this font related? InDesign plays nice with fonts but it cannot mentally handle the bad guys. The symptom you describe - a document opens very well on another system, but she and derivatives of the same file, stubbornly refuse to load on * your * system - could be due to one or more fonts that has turned into a 'wrong' on your system only.

• Cannot open the CS5

  Help please.

  I just installed Mac 10.7.1 Lion. Everything was fine, but...   When I try to open PS CS5 v12.0.4 startup banner appears, one or two seconds later, I get a message saying "cannot open a file because the disk is not available. I click 'OK', then the message box and the startup banner disappears and a new message saying "could not initialize Photoshop because the disk is not available. I click 'OK' and disappears from the box and close the menu of Photoshop (the only thing on the menu was the word 'Photoshop').

  Should I reinstall CS5? My old drive CS5 will allow even a reinstall?

  I read some posts in the section more "like this" on the right. One of them was to fix the problem, try Mac Command + Option + shift!

  It worked, moije! PS CS5 is now running, tho I have to redo all my preferences, but it's far from CS5 does not at all, or a reinstall!

  I downloaded the trial version of Dreamweaver CS5.5, but after the installation, I get the error:

• Transcription error when opening dreamweaver cs5.5 mac HELP!

  With all these missing files, it would just be easier to re - install DW?  You can re - install a single application of the sequence without affecting the rest.  In addition, local copy of DW same Site definitions are in this configuration file in the library which is obviously absent, so there is really nothing to lose at this point.  See David thread about the location of site definitions ( http://forums.adobe.com/thread/439283 ).

  Before you re - install but I would recommend a repair of the permissions running on your system to make sure that the installer can write there.  Located in disk utility (cmd + space for spotlight and type in disk utility to quickly find).

• Cannot open the CS5 extended download. What should I do?

  I have PS CS5 extended and recently got a new PC. I had to disable on the old PC and I am trying to install it on my new PC. However, I have the original installation CD, but the CD I don't cannot download the program. When I contacted customer service, they told me I need to download it and there is no support phone for this point. So, I downloaded it. 1 hour later, I can't even open the downloaded file.
  How should I proceed now? It is brand new built workstation PC. I don't understand why it is so complicated. It was not the first time that I downloaded.

  The installer is downloaded in the 7z format that can be extracted using WinRar.

  I want to access the photoshop cs5 I bought there are many updates to use a tool that is not available in cc2015.  When I try to open it by using the program search all, it loads cc instead. What should I uninstall cc2015 to be able to use cs5 or y at - it another way to use cs5 after the updates of cc2015?

  Pixel Bender is not available in later versions than CS5 and I need to use it.

  When you open the extension Manager you must browse the downloaded file plugin and install it.

  Once the plugin installed for Photoshop CC 2014, then you must run the Photoshop CC 2014 to check the functionality for the plugin

  Then, open the Photoshop CC 2015 it should show you the plugin.

  Hi all. I am working on a few illustrations in photoshop CS5 and save periodcally, but after closing the file I can't open up. I get the message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." I don't have any idea what may be causing this. I'm not openeing another file type in photoshop in other words, it has been started and saved as a photoshop document and now it does not open.   Navigate to the file using windows Explorer and see what the extension is.

  which should be .psd or. PSD for a photoshop psd file. Sometimes the files may end

  to the top with two extensions, which confuses photoshop.

  Example: my file.png.psd

  Also you may need to enable display the extensions of the file types in the folder options.

  Try to open the file in photoshop by using file > open and choose psd.

  Hello! I have a problem with the version of Dreamweaver CS4. All CS4 programs work OK but just Dreamweaver does not open. The splash screen is displayed and that's all. Nothing happens.
