Cannot open my library iPhotos in photos

I got my photos on a MacBook Pro OS 10.6.8. I had iPhoto ' 08, 7.1.5.

I moved the library to my new computer, a Mac mini 10.10.5, with a processor clocked at 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i5 OS. There pictures 1.0.1

The move succeeded. I see that the file and all 49 GBs are there. I can even access it from my Facebook account to publish photos on Facebook. However, Photos not open it. I applied iPhoto Library of valuation, by following the instructions. I tried now hold the Option key pressed when opening pictures, but the library migrated is grayed out and I can't open it. When I try dragging the album on the Photos icon to open it, I get this error message:

"Cannot open the migrated library. The content of the 'IPhotoLibrary.migratedphotolibrary' iPhoto library has already migrated to the Photos. Open the Photos to display your library or use a compatible version of iPhoto to open the iPhoto library. "

As I have indicated, Photos won't let me open the library.

I can open other libraries in Photos, but not the migrated.

Hope someone can help me with this. Thank you.

"Cannot open the migrated library. The content of the 'IPhotoLibrary.migratedphotolibrary' iPhoto library has already migrated to the Photos. Open the Photos to display your library or use a compatible version of iPhoto to open the iPhoto library. "

Change the extension of filename fo the iPhoto library FRO ".migatedphotolibray" back to the '.photolibrary '.  Then try again to drag it to the icon in the Dock to open Phtos.

    Hello!

For a few weeks, I have been unable to open my library Photos... States of photos that the library was created by a newer version of Photos, and that I do need to update 'Photos' a newer version.

It is not the case. The latest version will update the library and the earlier version will not open it.

  • Cannot open a pictures using Windows Photo Gallery

    BAD WINDOWS PHOTO GALLERY!

My Windows Photo Gallery says it cannot open the image because it is used by another program? I'm trying to save some pictures of fotoflexer, he saves but the pic appears blank in the folder when I try to see...

    1. I don'thave open other programs

    2. I can see the other images that are saved on my computer

Can someone help me with this problem? I had no trouble using windows photo gallery it any other time so far...

    Hi MsNesha,

What is the exact message you get?

As the message States, it could be used by fotoflexer. A probability is, after you have changed the images that you would not have saved it in fotoflexer.

Close the fotoflexer application after you save the photos and then try to view the photos edited in Windows Live Photo Gallery.

If the problem persists, you can remove (delete) the photos published of fotoflexer and then make a folder and paste and he discovers via the Windows Photo Gallery.

  • Cannot open JP2 and corrupt JPG photos

    Hi all

The photos I made four years ago now seem not.  I try to open these JP2 and JPG photos but cannot.  Is there a way to easily change the properties of these by copying and using "save under" and pointing to a new type of file?  If possible, how should be saved?

    Thanks for any comments.

  • Got a new iMac, cannot open my library

Hey there, my old iMac 2011 crashed (Yosemite running), and I was back up with a Time Capsule. Bought an iMac brand and transfer all the files. Everything is there, except the Photos. When I try to open it, I get this error message repeatedly:

This happens even when I hold down the 'Option' at the opening of the Photos and then click "Choose Library". I was on the phone with Apple Care for hours yesterday... no progress... I restored the photo library of the 2 previous backups on my Time Capsule and still have the same question.

I also get this message when I simply click on 'Photos' to open:

I kept a copy of the photo library in there, so I would have two choice... but when I followed the instructions here, I can't choose 'Preferences' to define whatever it is by the photo library of the system.

The library is about 17 GB. It seems that the library is corrupt, but it won't let me 'Fix' when I hold down the Option/command.

ANY ideas would be helpful! Thanks in advance, Carol

Where your photo library is stored? It's on an external drive or in the folder images?

If it's on an external drive, which is the file system on the disk?

How did restore the library of Time Machine? Do you have Time Machine restore t library?

I also get this message when I simply click on 'Photos' to open:

Have you tried to double click to open the pictures on it, the photo library? If this is not the case, try to repair the library while pressing the command-option key combination and double click on the library you want to repair, not on the Photos icon.

Could you please put the code you are using, and the exact error you get. In addition, please check the env variables, as CLASSPATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH and etc. here (java.sql.SQLException: problems with the native/lack of loading methods library )

  • Cannot open the folder of IMAGES on SONY NWZ - E383 Walkman using Windows Explorer.

I loaded several songs, videos and photos on the Walkman NWZ-E383.

The PICTURES folder has become inaccessible to Windows Explorer (cannot open to add or remove photos).

    Any ideas?

    Joffrey:

I tried your suggestion, but I am still unable to access the folder IMAGES using Windows Explorer.

The progress bar green in Windows Explorer at the top never quite reaches the right side.

MUSIC and VIDEO files work fine.

I even tried pressing the RESET button at the back of the Walkman, without success.

What other ideas can you suggest?

    Thank you.

  • Cannot open iphoto library after copy old HARD drive to the new HARD disk

I had to buy a new MacBook and recover my files, the old MacBook HARD drive is connected to the new via a USB connection and support base.  I have successfully transferred all my files to the new disk.   However, I can't open the iPhoto library that I just moved through without going through the old drive still connected.  I get a message like "cannot open the migrated library.   However, the new iPhoto on the new laptop is accessible OK.

Yu try to open the iPhoto Photos or iPhoto library?  "Cannot open the migrated library" alert indicates, that you opened the library on Photos for Mac and application Photos changed the name of the library ".migratedphotolibrary" file extension

If you open the photo library, but want to use with iPhoto, change the extension of your iPhoto in ".photolibrary" library file name

  • Cannot open iPhoto Library as it says library version is too old - have tried to download the iPhoto library valuation tool - still does not open.

Hi, I saved my photos on my passport, since I upgraded my phone and now I can't open the photos as it says that the version of the library is too old. I've uploaded my photos from my old laptop to my new office using my passport and still can't open. I tried to download the iPhoto library valuation tool but still does not open. Can someone please?

    Thank you

I tried to download the iPhoto library valuation tool but still does not open.

But install you and run the iPhoto Library upgrade?  Just the download is not enough.  You need to open the library in upgrader iPhoto library and let it prepare the library.  After installation, you will find the iPhoto Library upgrade in the "Utilities" folder in the "Applications" folder

  • I just upgraded to El Capitan, which automatically "upgraded" iPhoto in Photos.  When I opened the Photos, my thumb nails is blurred with the exception of those that have been published in iPhoto.  This never happened in iPhoto.  How can I fix?

I just upgraded to El Capitan, which automatically "upgraded" iPhoto in Photos.  Now when I open the pictures, my thumb nails is blurred with the exception of those that have been previously published in iPhotos.  When you click on a fuzzy thumbnail to select it, the picture is very good. The photos were initially imported into iPhoto via the camera memory card to JPEG.  Is there a way to fix this?  I take lots of photos for a local spca and this will really slow me down in the decision-making process on the pictures to use.  I'm not a very tech savvy person any help with this is greatly appreciated!

If you pick a few and twist and turn then back it is this resolved? -If this is the case you can do in large groups for the problem photos

  • Transfer the photo library in iPhoto to Photos

I have just passed my iPhoto library photos on El Capitan (10.11.3) on my new iMac and have lost some pictures, some were 3 years old from the originals and thus lost location information, faces and events.

Would this be normal?  Can I retrieve the original info. ? or do I have to revisit each of my photos almost 5000 and identify the faces and places all over again?

    NO.

It's the photo library is exactly the same as the iPhoto with converted albums - events library see How Photos handles content and metadata for iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

You have iPhoto 9.6.1? If not see if you can get it - can not update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store

  • Cannot open the pictures library after the data transfer to my new macbook

I transferred all my data from my old MacBook Air to my new MacBook Pro via a restore from time machine.

My first time to open my library on my News Photos Photos of MacBook says that he must perform the restore procedure (see screenshot in German language).

After the confirmation of this message Photos responds with a message telling me that it can't open the library (see screenshot in German language). The message to distinguish basically says Photos tried to fix the library, but it was impossible to open it.

Any ideas that I could do to fix this problem?

    Thanks, Gregor

Try saving the photo library and hold down the command and option keys while pictures of launch and repair the library it - that sometimes seems to be more successful

  • New iMac, library cannot open

    Hello

I bought a new iMac (end of 2015 21.5 inch, 2.8 GHz Core i5, 1 TB drive, all set to day fusion) and used the migration assistant to transfer my old iMac (21.5 inch mid-2010, 3.2 GHz Core i3, 1 TB HDD, all set to day) on my new iMac. I used my time machine backup.

Everything seems in order, with the exception of my photo library. It does not open and says that he needs to repair my library. It stops at 95% and says it can not open my library.

The library opens always on my old iMac. I don't know that I dared to repair this library (command + option + opening photos), because if that fails, I fear that I will not lose this library. My time machine is now connected to my new iMac. and actually, I sold my old iMac, so the clock is ticking.

I also use iCloud as a backup, so I tried to open the Photo app on iCloud.com, but that also failed to open. I can still access my photos on iCloud with my iPhone and iPad.

My old iMac-info poster: 485,87 Go to 17,669 points

My new iMac-info displays: 467,18 Go to 17,669 points

Does anyone know what I can do?

    Thank you

    Patrick

A way to create a new library on the new mac, refer to as the library system, log in to iCLoud and turn on iCloud photo library and let it download all since ICPL

This will not prevent the project or smart albums

to keep everything connect both systems together, and then drag the photo library intact from the old system to the new system images folder (you can use an external hard drive to the Mac OS extended (journaled) format to do that too) and the Photos on the new system launch
