• Cannot print to HP Officejet 4500 wireless

  I have a HP Officejet 4500 wireless printer I have ever managed to get print wireless. It connects to my wireless very well, but when I install the device driver and go through the steps of setting up on my computer it always stops with this message:
  Your computer is unable to communicate with your printer to 192.168.0.21. This can be the result of firewall software. If you use firewall software, make sure that the 427 UDP port is unlocked for the incoming and outgoing traffic.
  Your PC cannot communicate with your printer at the address of 192.168.0.21. Check all cable connections. Make sure the printer and the PC and the router are powered on and connected to the network.

  My PC is a HP ENVY Phoenix h9-1360ea with windows 8.1 desktop computer (he has never worked with either 8.0). I have it connected to my network wirelessy and via ethernet. Neither work.

  So far I have tried:
  Uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Software Download Center. The file I downloaded is OJ_AIO_4500_G510n-z_Full_Win_WW_140_408. I installed this as administrator
  Disable my smart firewall from Norton Internet Security. I also added the printer to the network card.
  Adding a rule to my Netgear DG834GT router firewall to allow inbound and outbound on port 427 UDP traffic.
  Try all the suggestions of troubleshooting on www.hp.com/global/us/en/wireless/index.html?jumpid=ex_r11400_go_wirelessprinting

  I checked online on various forums, but so far everything has led to a deadlock.

  Now run out of ideas and could use some help please.

  SE based on what comes to express, the material can work. However, the software / firmware does not work correctly.

  Thanks for your reply. I did all these things and more... Finally observed that the IP address of the printer was 2 'off' the IP address of the iPad numbers.

  I've corrected the printer IP addy... and viola.

  IPad and laptop computer are once more compatible with the printer.

  I installed a lexmark 3500-4500 series printer and when I print a test page, I wonder the bidirectional printer value.  When I go to properties/ports, the enable the two-way box is not available for me check.  What should I do? I am an administrator on dell inspiron 1545 running Vista Basic.  When the printer installed software, it also installed a fax-to-print option, which the bidirectional value. The printer is a 3550 (not running wireless) assigned to a virtual USB port.   I use Norton secutry suite will be normal firewall disabled.  Norton is the manipulation.

  problem solved - software disc that came with the printer did not support Vista.  Uninstalled printer and software, downloaded lexmark driver software update supporting Vista 32bits.  Re-installed successfully.  Printer doesn't work.  I got this suggestion of the Geek Squad.

  OK just figuredb out. had to remove the old printer definition Bundeskunsthalle windows 8.1. Once I did that, win dows 10 find the printer on the network and use it correctly.
