The exchange of treatment was so painful and frustrating it is doubtful I will be never buy another product from HP. I think it's a totally fraudulent way of doing business and for my part will think very hard never to do business with HP again. It's a shame because I've always liked the HP product and I have been a loyal customer for many years, having spent thousands of dollars at HP. I was ashamed of HP for the way they dealt with my problem. I was told that I could still use the e-gift card that I was "stuck" that now for other HP products. Why would I do this after getting scammed by buying the e-gift card in the first place. I finally finished and re - placed an order for a 2nd laptop, but this will probably be my last relationship with HP. They are a great company to deal with until something is not, then the customer may be left holding the bag or in this case, the e-gift card!

  HP DISCLAIMS ANY form of additional funding other than a gift card from HP when the purchase involves HP E-financing credit card. In other words, if I use my credit card of HP and I have enough line of credit for a transaction, the ONLY other form of funding that they will pay the difference is a gift card from HP. No Visa, no Master Card, not American Express, etc... Gift card ONLY. Believe me, I've exhausted this issue in detail. The only combination accepted when you use your credit card of HP is a HP combination of gift cards / credit card. You can combine nothing else than a gift card with their E-financing (credit card of HP). No more credit cards not authorized HP gift card/cheque ONLY.  It was my point worldwide and is the reason why I think it's a way to get the customer to 'use' a gift card.

  I have some major problems with a purchase. Thursday (four days ago), I got a quote for a chat for 13 Chromebook sales representative. I couldn't buy then because I had to wait until my gift cards has consolidated. (None of them are promo gift cards.) Today, I checked and gift cards have been consolidated (yay!), so I looked to the top of the quote to complete the purchase. He had nowhere to enter the gift card and apply it towards balance. The only mention of gift cards, I could find was in relationship with (and with) a financing statement. I didn't sign up for an account, but the word "gift" is not even on other pages until the final payment button.

  I spoke with someone in the chat, and he said to select "Gift card" payment type drop down. There is no such don't fall down I can find. The payment page has text links for the different forms of payment that each have their own page. I tried selecting the option 'Pay with two credit cards', but the card does not appear as an option of credit card here.

The only place that I can use the maps from Microsoft wants $199.99. To add insult to injury - I can't use gift cards for purchases in line-HELP! We waited 2 months just to be left out... I am very disappointed by Microsoft.

  I'm not use horrible service or ignored as a client, but the way they treat the process of promotional gift card after a purchase is made must be the worst customer service experience I've had over the years... and I'm usually a fan of Dell.

  After recent purchases, I'm done with two gifts, compensation in the amount of $100 and the other $ 25.  I wanted to buy an item for $125 on the Dell site and learned during departure that they will apply only one gift card per purchase, but I could consolidate gift cards if I called it 1-800-624-9897 Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 CT only.

  On Monday, I called and waited on hold during an hour and a half before having to hang up.  Tuesday, I waited more than two hours.  Then I remembered and chose the option to leave a voice message for a return call based on the message that I would hear something "in 2 hours", but I have not received a call.  I left a second message Wednesday after an hour and did not get a call back that day there either.  I left a third message Thursday and did not receive a reminder.  Friday, I held again for a few hours and then left a message before.

  Needless to say, I do not have a reminder to a message, that I left and never got through no matter how many hours I did.  I can't believe that Dell would force customers to call to consolidate gift cards if they do not have the manpower to accept these calls.  It is the customer service terrible promise calls in two hours if the customer still waiting for 6 days later.  This purchase could already achieved and delivered now!

  I guess I'm just a customer so I'm not sure that Dell would care if they lost me or not, but I just wanted to give a warning to others even before to perform the process of consolidation of promotional gift card.  Even don't waste your time.
