  My server contacted me and told me to check my spam using their webmail account, because it was full.  It seems that when I used the rules of the mail I had clicked on delete from the server, just "do not download".  My spam folder was so full that I couldn't receive. Thanks for all your advice!  Mark as resolved.

  I have the latest version of Thunderbird 38 and for some reason emails coming from gmail accounts (such as [email protected]) stopped coming through.   Did you check your own spam folder?

  You have a third-party program, probably Google Chrome or Firefox, which interferes with the Windows Internet connection.

  When you see the message in offline mode , open Internet Explorer and then press Alt + F to open the file menu. If work offline is selected, deselect it. If it is not selected, select it, wait a few moments and then deselect. Now check if Windows Live Mail is still offline. If this is the case, repeat the cycle to select/deselect in Internet Explorer until Windows Live Mail receives the message.

  No one can send to another, they can receive other domain names, but not a user on the same domain or themselves.

  Shortly after the installation of ios 9.2.1 my iPhone more than 6 cannot receive emails from yahoo. (Before that it worked very well for over a year.) My gmail works fine.
