  With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

  1) register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  2) books of forwarding Service

  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  3) restart

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

  I have Cox e-mail.  I received by e-mail on my Iphone, no problem.  I installed the HP E-Print application, everything works fine except that I can't add my email account. Always comes to the top (impossible to verify).  I have my mail installed on two different computers, using the same settings. I called Cox, tried to configure IMAP or POP, always the same results, impossible to verify.  Is there a problem with the application?

  I just read your message after having a similar issue and try to understand why the settings provided were not works on POP or IMAP mail servers.

  Here are the settings that worked for me:

  Email: User name only (do not use the entire email address)

  Description: Your choice

  Password: password by e-mail

  HostName: pop.central.cox.net (you can try West or depends on your location in the central square)

  Port: 110

  SSL off the coast

  Please can someone help me. I just got a replacement for my Blackberry Torch 9810 camera, as my old laptop had a flaw.  I backed up all my files, media etc. through the desktop software on my PC and successfully restored to my new camera.  I'm having trouble linking my hotmail account to my new camera. Whenever I try to put in place through the Setup Wizard, I get the message "the Blackberry Enterprise Server has not responded to your activation request. An error has occurred. " I get my e-mail address and password correctly whenever I try to connect, I also do not touch activation emails I get in my hotmail Inbox. I think the problem is that I have not been added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Please can someone help me here?

  In fact, unless you're on BES (and HotMail is definitely NOT BES), then you must stay away the company setting completely. Rather, on this screen, if you do not also have a choice for personal electronic mail or on Internet, then your BB/account is not properly configured with your carrier. I suspect that, in the context of the evolution of your device, they have successfully completed your your old BB to the new account. But the only way to get this is to them (Orange) ring to the top and talk to them on this subject.

• Cannot configure the e-mail account on Thunderbird

  Downloaded Thunderbird last on my Vista PC. GoDaddy, I had all the info I needed for my IMAP account for the incoming server, etc.. The GoDaddy guy said to use a manual configuration.

  When you try to configure Thunderbird, I entered all the info, but the 'Done' button is grayed out. My only choice was to "create new account", "re-test" and "Cancel". I tried to re - test & he said he was trying to connect to the server, but that went on for 5 minutes and the GoDaddy guy has said it should take 15 seconds. Therefore, there is no way to tell fact or finished.

  The help pages say enter info & "after the recording of these changes", you can get your email address. But how to save the changes when the OK button is grayed out?

  Thanks for the suggestion. I called GoDaddy & it turns out that I have NO SSL (the other guy said I did) that's why it didn't work before. Now, I have it configured. Thanks for your help.

  Recently updated to win 10 (1st error?).
  Accidentally set up a POP instead of and the IMAP. I followed the instructions to make POP IMAP and remove the pop account.
  I created a new account using IMAP, but always shows the server pop server setting
  My ISP is Comcast. Ports are set to 993, SSL/587 TLS. Thunderbird is set to the default e-mail client.
  I use Bitdefender Internet security 2015 to win 10. BitDefender firewall rules must allow Firefox and Thunderbird by any network, any protocol. This is about as much information I can provide. Help, please. Windows mail application will not send and receive unless the firewall is confidence, not the best option.

  Probably bad form answering my own post. Found the answer in another post. Should have set the port to 465 instead of 587 according to the instructions of Comcast.

  When you set up several accounts IMAP in the mail and are invited for more details into account. Try adding additional accounts without completing the user name field.

  The Mail app you will only send to the addresses for e-mail addresses of account (s) that is / are setup in the mail. If you have several e-mail accounts settings, you can select witch account that a message will be sent.

• BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphones - unable to access the e-mail account configuration

  9700 OS 6 on ATT

  The problem: the email accounts through the icon of the installer cannot access.  Configuration - mail accounts.  I can highlight the e-mail accounts in the Setup menu, but can't open it.  I can open all other options in the Setup menu

  I had this 9700 for 2 years and my configuration of e-mail account and operational full-time.  My email has been hacked and I fixed that on my desktop CPU but my 9700 will still not receive or send emails.  I did the following:

  2. Deleted service books

  Everything I could find on correcting my email on the 9700 account is that I have to reset my email from my 9700 account information.  Unfortunately, I can not access account configuration menu email form.  Help please.
