Cannot remove. EML files in My Documents

Strange behavior!

If I drag the files of .eml WIndows Live Mail (WLM) on the desktop I can remove it by using the DELETE key or click Remove/law

If I drag the files of .eml in an X in My Documents folder, and then close the Winows Explorer and reopen the case, I can't delete them using one of the methods above are the only ways to remove:

1 double click to open individually in WLM, and then use the delete WLM button; or

2. drag the X folder on the desktop, open it and delete the .eml files using the DELETE key or right-click right/remove

This also happens with the Thunderbird .eml files, isn't WLM that causes the problem.

I read a registry hack that could solve this problem, but I prefer not to do that - probably, it's a bug in W7?

Hi Mogojohn

I ran into this problem yesterday

I found that if I right click on the the .eml file and select "open file location" documents open in a new window and when I right click on the 'clear' same .eml file is an option

  • Cannot remove orphaned files

If you know how this works and it should be simple. I ran check all links to the site. I pointed out the orphaned files on the Link Checker tab. There are many of them - plus 6 000. I want to delete these files. I select them all and press the button Delete, nothing happens. I select a bit and try the same thing. I try with both buttons remove and cmd-delete (which works in the Mac Finder). I even try to check to see if there is a delete option under the right button of the mouse.  Still nothing. (unless somehow, these files are deleted invisible but always appear on the list?) Shouldn't the name of the file disappear from the list when they are deleted?) I checked my keyboard and the delete button works.  Any ideas what is happening? Any other method can I use to remove these files?

  • Cannot remove illustrates file listed in the file Explorer Vista - does not exist?

I managed to create a zero-byte file "bomadvice11.cycs" from a coded application that appears in the Explorer of files, but when you try to remove it receives the message "unable to find this article. It is not located in... Check the location of the item and try again. Also can not delete it from the command prompt. File is also crashing the synchronization software. Have you tried a check disk to reboot to clear it but no luck. File is not in a folder protected etc.

    SystemsEng,
Try the following to try to remove the directory that the file is in.  If this does not work, I recommend looking into a third-party file removal tool.

    Open a command prompt
    * Go to the drive where the file undeletable. For example, C:
    * If you are type c:
    * Go to the folder where, in my case it was located in C:\_cache\delete\ folder problem
    * The folder I could not remove called him "happy tree friends" (friend of tree C:\_cache\delete\happy) then I typed:

    C:
    _cache CD
    removal of CD
(as you can see I do not open the folder problem itself)
    * Type: dir /x. Directory listing is displayed containing the 8.3 names of folders and files, in my case it showed: happyt ~ 1
    * And then type: rd happyt ~ 1 (replace happyt ~ 1 with the name of the folder see you)
    * The folder is deleted.

  • Cannot remove/change files after upgrade to Windows7

After the upgrade from Vista to Windows7 due download my files to Carbonite. Now, impossible to remove or change anything on these files & had to copy them all to have control.  When I try to change information about the files, I received a "must be an administrator to change the files' - who I am.  Because I had duplicate files it also reproduces the space used and am running out of space.  Help, please.

Your post raises a number of questions.  What is your hard drive?  How big are your downloads?  You have the download in a folder marked read-only?  Are some of the downloads in read-only or system?  You always have the Vista files in something like Windows.old?  Do you receive messages of UAC?  You have a laptop or desktop?

On the problem of disk space, you can buy 1 TB disks, for desktop computers inside or outside for $50, and you can buy a 16 GB FlashDrive for less than $20.  You can also do a disk management, since you have two copies of downloaded files and possibly the old Vista files.  With very large hard drives as cheap that they lost, it's pretty easy to solve the problems of disk with a new disk space.

    Good luck.

  • Cannot remove baggage file named 'none '.

    Hello

I use Adobe Robohelp HTML 8.0.2.208

I opened my WebHelp project today and noticed that I have a file missing luggage, simply titled 'none '.

    rbh01.PNG

When I right click on it, the option delete isn't there.

    rbh02.png

When I click on properties, all it tells me it is that he is named 'none', and location, size, creation and update are all (unknown). By clicking on the button 'Open file' simply takes me my source folder.

    rbh03.PNG

My project has no connection broken of any kind. I checked that my index, table of contents, references, in the world. The project (to the best of my knowledge) is impeccable. I even went a stretch and ensured that all my pages are W3C validated.

I searched the forums and web trying to find a person with the same or at least similar problem, and I found advice on Add/Remove the baggage files by editing the rhbag.apj file in Notepad or similar editing program.

Then I opened the file and I see a xml tree base with only two references; one in my RoboHHRE.lng file and the other to this mysterious 'none' folder.

    rbh04.PNG

So I deleted lines 9 to 13 and save the file...

    rbh05.PNG

And the problem seems to be fixed (temporarily). My project leader updates immediately and file who supposedly never existed has disappeared:

    rbh06.PNG

However, there is only missing until I close my project. The next time I open the project (whether to launch from the list of recent in RoboHelp projects or run the source folder .xpj file) file missing baggage is back in my project manager, and when I re - open the

rhbag. APJ file, the code is for the "nothingness" of the folder:

    <file>

    <name>none</name>

    <usercreated>false</usercreated>

    <comments/>

    </file>

Any other written file the rhbag.apj file is revealing in this file of baggage from the list, so ideally I need go to the source of the problem and find what file is responsible to write the file rhbag.apj and remove the reference here.

Problem being, RoboHelp generates a large NUMBER of files, many with extensions of file owner or obscure. Opening each one, one at a time, in Notepad and try to find a reference to baggage files (what I spent the last few hours doing many) seems to be hopeless.

Any help that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated! As functional as the project may seem, I don't know what (if any) problems/failures this conflict could produce in the future, and I would rather get rid of it now before the webhelp project expands a lot greater.

    Thanks in advance

    UPDATE

Well, I managed to find the place where the foregoing "data: image / gif" erorr came. I forgot that my css has been using data URLs to list styles for IE10 (if you're curious, see this article).

It seems that RH8 dislikes the data URL because it seems to confuse the mimetype of a real image file and the location and does not read the base64 binary image representation.

It is only there for IE10 support and because I develop for intranet is not critical, so I surrounded the reference with comment brackets in my css file, resaved my topic, closed HR and just for fun deleted the CPD file again and voila! No error popup more and no more mysterious 'none' file of luggage!

    I need coffee now

Thanks for the continued support on this problem of Rick, you motivated me to find a solution, soon!

  • Cannot remove CPTL file from the desktop using Vista

    Hi all

  • Cannot load MOV files within PDF documents in Firefox

Tell me this has nothing to do with XP, but my problem report on the Firefox support site, you can find at the following link, https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/831712#answer-199161, gave no solution, then maybe you can suggest a. And what relates to XP because the problem does not occur in Firefox on Windows 7 or Vista, but only on XP.

I have a website that loads a PDF file in the browser. Within each PDF are links to MOV files that should open in floating windows. Unfortunately, XP when I click on these links I tells me that the file is not found. It seems clear that the cause of this is that XP is looking for the MOV files to the same directory that he downloaded the PDF. The links do not specify the directory of the MOV on the server because they are all in the same directory where the PDF file. If you change the link to include the way full on the server, starting with http://, then the url www.aslparataxis.info, then the directory where the relevant PDF file and finally the name of the MOV file, then the link works successfully. But it would be a huge job to change all these links in this way, since there are 540 of them. And their incorporation into PDF files is out of the question because he too in each PDF, allowing a very long download time. In addition, if the material on the site have been moved to another directory, all links must be redone.

Internet Explorer doesn't have this problem on XP. And Firefox doesn't have this problem in Windows 7 or Vista. Again, I know that it should have more to do with Firefox Windows, but anyone can shed some light on how I can get Firefox (or Windows?) to know that on the server for these MOV files, it should look like?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

If the problem appears only in firefox, then you work with Mozilla on this.

    Support for Mozilla Firefox

You can try to perform a clean boot and check for the issue. A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

If your problem is resolved after the clean boot, and then follow the steps mentioned in the article above to refine the exact source.

After resolve you your problem, you can follow the steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    Hope this information is useful.
