  Starts to go a little crazy here.  Been googling and scrolling of messages from the forum for a few hours without success.  Last thing, I have found/tried was (failed to load Internet system preferences panel).  No dice.

  Trying to understand when he started and believe that it was when I added another gmail account this afternoon. 17 accounts in total.  Bunch of gmail and then a lot of my businesses.  I started poking around when I became unable to send an email from my personal servers.  Very strange.  I then went to remove the new gmail and the - sign did not work... very strange.  That's when I thought something was up.

  No idea which continues and have seemingly tried everything so very open to suggestions.

  Have you tried to reinstall the operating system?

  Long shot - could be a corrupt .plist.

  Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

  Quit the application.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

  Restart your computer, open the application and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

  If the application is the same, return the .plist where you got it, crushing the latest.

  I want to remove an email account in Thunderbird. Could not find a way to do

  Right-click on the account on the left in the files pane.
  Select settings.
  In the lower part is in stock
  Delete account is here.

  Move all messages from this account that you want to keep in a folder under local folders before you remove the account. Any message that is still in the account will disappear with the account when removed.

  Please, back up all data. Rebuild the mailbox. Try again to delete the message. If there is no change, and if the account in question is on an IMAP or Exchange Server, see below.

  Select the accounts in the list on the left, then open the behaviors of the box tab, uncheck the box marked

  Store the deleted messages on the server

  Save changes when prompted.

  Go to view | Layout and turn off the preview pane.  Highlight the message without open it, and then hit the delete or shift + delete keys.

  Who should get back to you all unopened messages of all message lines.
