BlackBerry Smartphones cannot remove the e-mail messages after OS 5 upgrade

I just upgraded to OS 5 and according to the icons of the screen, I have 2 unread email messages.  This is not correct, but I have an email account where I got messages on the device before updating, but now I can't remove them and I think that the two issues are linked.  The email seems to work OK otherwise - just can't get rid of these old messages!

Thanks for any help

Try this:

  • Home screen > Messages > > search

Set as follows (may vary depending on your operating system device):

  • Search type: Local
  • Name: any address field
  • Subject of Message:
  • Include encrypted Messages: Yes
  • Service: All Services
  • Folder: All files
  • Living room: Open only
  • Type: all the

Who should get back to you all unopened messages of all message lines.

Good luck and let us know!

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) books of forwarding Service

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot remove the old emails

I had my auto delete on the device set at 15 days since I got it.  Recently I scolled back expected I'd be searching through 15 days of messages.  Instead, I found that I had old messages as in last October.  I managed to delete messages in January, February and March, but I could not delete messages in 2008.  I changed automatic removal at 30 days Beach, no difference.  I restarted the unit with the battery several times.  Any thoughts on this phenomenon?

Of course, it comes to connect the BlackBerry to your computer with the mini-usb cable and using the Desktop Manager software. Since in the Desktop Manager, you can go in the backup and restore icon, and then click the Advanced button. On the right, you will see the BlackBerry databases. You can select the database of Messages, and then click the clear button.

This to erase all messages (e-mail, PIN, SMS) between the unit and should solve the problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot remove the name of the audio album

I struggled to upload audio files to my BB Curve 8330 and had to remove several albums of songs because they do not play. Now, I downloaded the files that are going to play, but the name of the album (which include some songs) is still there. One of them downloaded the first time as a name and the second time than another, so I have two albums with very similar names; We're working and the other is empty. How can I delete album names once the folder/album songs have been erased?

    Hello

Without the help of Roxio, try the following.

Hang the BB to the PC and launch workstation.

Map of the media should look like a flash drive.

First, save the map media for security.

Look in each folder and delete all files named BBTHUMBS.

Find the name of the audio album you're trying to remove, make a note of the type of file and delete.

    Disconnect. Do a battery pull:

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-5 min. This will allow the BB for re index songs, without the BBthumbs.

See if the name of the album 'Phantom' is still there.
    Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot remove the weather bug

    Would appreciate anyone's help.

I downloaded WeatherBug App World, but decided to replace it with the Weather Channel app.  When I clicked on delete, he seemed to go through all the right motions and said restart the removal of WeatherBug is complete.

After reboot, the icon of WeatherBug was always in the downloads folder, but had a green arrow back under him and is labeled: (WeatherBug archived).   Hoping that it would help, I turned it off and took out the battery for about 30 minutes, but the icon is still there.   I went through all these steps on two different days to make sure I did it correctly.

This archived icon does not have an option to remove - only to hide or move.  Anyone know what I can do?

I don't know if he's still looking to run in the context or what.

    Thank you for all time.

When you buy via AppWorld apps and then remove them, he leaves behind him this icon and archives of the app. You tackle MyWorld, you can remove it from there and that should remove the shortcut icon (which is just that... a reactivation of the app from AppWorld shortcut). Sometimes a good sweater-batt restart after removal of AppWorld, helps to eliminate an application.

    Hope that helps!

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

In addition to what Gralt suggested, on your homescreen go to the main Message box, open it, go on a specific date say today, then press Menu > scroll and click on "mark read prior. and then do a restart of traction battery like this: power to the device on remove the battery, wait for a min. then reinsert and wait until it reboot, see if she's still there.

If still appears then Open Message Box press the menu button > view folder > and all areas of research and see if there are unread messages.

  • 9380 blackBerry smartphones cannot start the App World after the operating system upgrade + card

    Hello

my camera 9380 worked perfect when I bought it.

Then I upgraded OS to v7.0.0.513 to 7.1.0.366-> BBM did not work

    So I drove back and re-installed 7.0->

    (2) BB App World must be closed

    any help?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I'm sorry, but the errors you posted seem somewhat independent... so I need clarification please:

    Gbassi wrote:

Unfortunately, "did not work" is not really diagnosable. What, exactly, have you tried? What, exactly, happened every step of what you tried?

    Gbassi wrote:

    (2) BB App World must be closed

I do not see how these two errors are related to the first, you were trying to throw the maps app when it appeared? For the second, which came with the maps app? Or is separate #2 and lies somewhere in the process by using your AppWorld? Complete step by step of what you try, with a full explanation of what is happening at each stage, including the full text of all error messages, is essential to understand your situation and if all goes well to guide. Otherwise, we have to guess...

So I guess. My guess is that, once you upgrade to 7.1, you don't have to perform a few extra steps to ensure that all services were properly enabled on your BB. Here are the steps. I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! You can try these few points in your process... either now (on 7.0.0.513) or after you re - try to upgrade to 7.1.0.366.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones automatic signature in e-mail messages

I'm trying to remove the following message is displayed:

    -BlackBerry® from Mobistar-

which appears at the end of any message I send from my BB.

    Does anyone have an idea?

The settings do not appear to give access to this function - or I missed it.

    Thanks for any help,

    1. connect to your carrier's website you BIS. Carrier BIS connection sites are listed here:

OR you can connect from your BlackBerry to the icon "personal e-mail Configuration.

    2. click on 'Edit' next to the email to which account you want to change (or remove) the signature.

    3. where it says "signature", delete all the text if you don't want ANY signature, or change view you prefer instead of "sent from my BlackBerry... »

  • BlackBerry Smartphones has stopped receiving e-mail messages

I have a Blackberry Curve 8300 and my ISP is earthlink.net. Everything works fine until today, when I stopped to receive e-mails on my Blackberry. I just checked, and I can send messages very well, of course, but do not receive them.

Hmmm... I suggest a number of things. First of all, a restart:

With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning.

If that fails, then try to send your service books:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot send or reply to messages

My 8530 has been put in place at Verizon. I was able to send and receive messages. However, I noticed that my calendar is past not my Curve 8330 more so I tried to transfer from the old phone using the mnager BB desktop software.

Since then I can't use my BB to send or reply to so e-mail or text messages. The message I get says "no service message not configured. You will be redirected to the Setup Assistant to configure your e-mail account. "I go to the installation wizard which gives me the possibility of creating or adding an e-mail account or to set up a professional email with BB Enterprise Server. I then go to the page that shows my e-mail and password. I press Ok and then said that this e-mail is already set up.

So why am I unable to send e-mail messages or if it's true?

    Thank you.
