  This symptom may be caused by the interference of an antivirus program. What antivirus do you use? Some of them are causing problems with Windows Mail over time. At a minimum, email, scanning in the antivirus must be turned off, although maybe it's not enough to eliminate all the bad effects. In the worst case scenario, your antivirus program may be uninstalled/reinstalled or replaced.

  This is my setup:

  vSphere 5.1

  Main site (Production)

  Cluster, 7 guests.

  Compellent primary storage (with the Manager of the own company compellent).

  vCenter own VM

  a few replicant vms (with a server of domain names).

  Secondary site (remote)

  Cluster, 3 guests

  Secondary Compellent storage (with the Manager of the own company compellent).

  vCenter own VM.

  VM site recovery manager.

  No domain name server.

  So, when I test the recovery plan is working perfectly. Yesterday, I tried an exercise in failure:

  1 - Disconect link between the Production Site and the remote location.

  2. - connect my laptop in the Remote Site lan.

  3. - connect the vSphere Client in vCenter Secondary Site.

  4 - action for run for the stimulus plan.

  but fails when try to power of virtual machines. Error:

  Error: Cannot retrieve host associated with a substituent VMs. The connection to the remote server is down.

  There is something wrong with my setup, but why? I do not know. I check and rechek but I don't see the wrong configuration.

  Reason: this problem may occur if a virtual machine with the same name as the virtual computer space reserved already exists in inventory of vCenter Site Recovery SRM.

  To resolve this problem, try one of these options and make sure that there is no conflict of virtual machine name:

  1. change the name of the virtual machine that requires the protection of the protected Site.

  2 If the virtual machine on the recovering Site is necessary, change the name of the virtual machine for recovery Site.

  3. If the virtual machine on the recovering Site is not necessary (perhaps because it's an old placeholder virtual machine or a virtual machine created by mistake), remove the virtual machine from the inventory.

  Dataguard and MRP, you run a script before.

  In a standby scripted, a session to RETRIEVE the DATABASE would an UNTIL clause (SEQUENCE up to THAT most likely). At the end of the recovery at this point (SEQUENCE #), he left and stop at the database.

  In addition, the script is such that when a RECOVERY session is active, another session is not authorized to start. It can loop in pending state or go out and do it again the next scheduled interval.

  Apparently your startup script is not strong enough to prevent another session of RECOVERY to start even though the first is active (or it doesn't have a good up to THAT clause and stop, exit, closing stocks)

  What you have is a custom implementation of a database of pending. Without all the details of the script, the 'blocking' between sessions (to avoid a second RECOVER start when one is already running) etc... We can't really do much to help you.
  Your scripts must be standing with status information. It should be possible for you to discover the 'other' sqlplus session which emanates a DATABASE to RECOVER, but not yet out (p. ex... How about a simple "ps - ef |") grep sql' and ' ps - ef | combination of grep ora"?)

  I am trying to establish connectivity between Oracle 10 g 2 (Win XP Pro 2002) and Sybase ASE 15.0.2 (Sun Solaris 5.9) by using the transparent gateway for Sybase (TG4SYBS), but encountered the following error. I have looked for a solution quite well in all directions, but so far have been quite unlucky. This is my last resort. I don't really know what I'm doing wrong as I followed the steps of installation and configuration correctly. Please note:
  -Oracle transparent gateway software and database are installed in different homes; and,
  -J' created and tested the ODBC DSN connectivity with the Sybase server.
  
  The only thing that I have real concern about is the version of the Sybase server 64-bit OS; Windows Oracle server is 32-bit. Are going to count this could be the problem?

  you use the Oracle Listener database in C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\ to spawn TG4SYBS installed in a different House: C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\tg_1. This works when you specify the full path in the listener.ora to tg4sybs executable file. The section of SID might look like:

  I seem to have the same problem as tantoe but when I clicked on the link in your message, it took me to the page, but the person's recommendation was not good; It (don't remember the name) had two links to click & when I clicked on the two I was redirected to a page that says that the page could not be found.

  The song with that I have a problem is "I'm in love (with a killer)" by Jeffree Star &, as with all my other audio files that I did NOT have this problem with, is mp3 format. I have a video in mind with this song & pictures I saved star but Windows Movie Maker cannot import it.

  If there is anything you could do, advice you could give, I would really appreciate it. This is my favorite song by Jeffree Star & it drives me crazy not being able to import it into Movie Maker. :-/

  Clarification:
  Windows Vista is preinstalled on this system?
   
  If I read (and cited only) correctly - Yes, which is not going to work.  The license for Windows Vista was related to the Compaq system motherboard.  If you had that repaired under warranty, HP? Compaq could have helped you.  As you have created a new machine (motherboard especially) now, you will need to purchase a new license for Windows Vista or any other operating system of your choice.
   
  You could, I suppose, buy the OEM of Windows 8 version.  You will have the same problem later (OEM licenses is related to the first motherboard it is installed and activated with.)
